Getting into this sport now after finding this channel 👍
That’s what I love to hear! Welcome to the family!
After 3 years of wanting to give this a crack and a chat or 2 with yourself a buhurt gym finally opened up only 30mins away from me, Cheers for introducing the sport to me legend!
the music in the background is giving tavern vibe
That was the aim!
for 6:27, Permissible upward error allowance may be if a weapon exceeds the limit by say 4% of the weight max for a sword it could be allowed, but for the mace they would have the cut off at the written figure. (this is just my guess)
Agreed! It has tolerance in the negative direction (less weight) but none in the positive. Considering how nasty an overweight mace could be, that’s very fair 😅
Thank you!!
How do I get into this?
Depends. Where you at?
@@mathewbaez1495 Michigan United States
@@mathewbaez1495I’m in northern Utah, USA. Same question
I think there's 3 or 4 in Vic and one in every other state.. Google- Buhurt near me
My personal build would be:
Havel The Rock😂
Quite informative, thank you for taking the time to share, perhaps tou could also go into more detail in a future vid on differences between pro fights (or outrance) and duels. On the surface it seems almost identical except for weapons. You can't have a profight with axes, right?
Thanks mate, appreciate it
Epic! ⚔️
Thanks mate!!
What do you recommend for a shorter stockier guy with wrestling experience
How often do you encounter dragons?
The big bummer in my opinion is that you can use a halberd but you cant use a great sword like a zweihander or claymore
Based
So bludgeoning weapons are allowed nice i was hoping that was gonna be nice
This is real life dark souls😂😂
How does someone win at this sport?
Making your oponents touch the floor with their hands or back, and in some 1v1 making your oponent give up
Swords seem not as efficient. As far as i know in the medival times swords were not used as the weapon of choice against armoured enemies. Blunt weapons such as hammers or mace weapons.

hammers are illegal.... blunt axe = hammer 😜
🙌🙌
I’d argue a hammer with wider area of effect would actually do more damage, which is why hammers are illegal and why they were actually used.
In addition: a sword or axe with a smaller blade than say, a literal hammer… and why you can’t stab or have sharp edges on your weapons.
So you don’t literally kill someone.
@aandyherr817 I've been in this sport for a while and understand the mechanics of the weapons. I think you missed the sarcasm 😉
