I’ve personally never bothered getting a switch for a couple of reasons, and one big one is that the hardware is over a generation behind the newer consoles at this point. I know it’s been an issue since the Wii which I loved, but seriously the Switch 2 has to match the lower end modern consoles like the Xbox series S at least imo

If they released the switch 2 the first time there were rumors about it coming "next year", it would already be outdated. Speaking of outdated, $20 says it releases with hardware at least 2 years old right outta the gate.
I love that they use cartridges, even though physical media is being phased out. Just being able to load up a cartridges is a treat. Nintendo is smart to keep cartridge. It leaves them more space in the real world space where Microsoft and Sony are vacating. It also gives them flexiblity for added products to be brought into their ecosystem by Limited Run Games and Play-Asia that wouldn't be profitable for Nintendo to produce. In a world that has yearned for retro gaming, Nintendo will benefit from it by keeping that market alive. People like their steel boxes. And it's honestly dumb that Sony and Microsoft are selling Steelboxes with download codes in them. The other thing nice about cartridges is that it forces the software developers to ensure their games work at launch. This is something that is especially annoying about PC gaming. We're at the point where it's expected that every PC game will require a Day 1 patch. There's no reason for a Day 1 patch with a console exclusive game. It's the same hardware, so you don't have the variability that PCs have.
Will it be a significant technical upgrade though or is it going to be yet another cashgrab? Will they again bog down future games with motion controls or will they drop the gimmick? Will they finally improve their servers for reasonable multiplayer or will that take another decade? And will they actually focus on making their own games or will they continue to be draconian bookburners?

Only the series let the old game run better because microsoft spent its own money to upgrade them, nintendo will probably not do that. Now, game that were strugling to it 1080p at 30 fps will probably be able to since variable resolution and fps can be stabilise on better hardware
I’m tired. Tired of seeing these thumbnails for the last 6 years. About to bail on all gaming TH-cam channels fr.
Ok bye
What's wrong with the thumbnail?
LCD screen in 2025 is crazy. Heck, phones under 200 comes with AMOLED screens.
I’ve personally never bothered getting a switch for a couple of reasons, and one big one is that the hardware is over a generation behind the newer consoles at this point. I know it’s been an issue since the Wii which I loved, but seriously the Switch 2 has to match the lower end modern consoles like the Xbox series S at least imo
hall efects are way more reliable than analog censor there is no mechanical connection in hall effects so they aren't supposed to almost any wear the simracing gear mainly pedals have started to use them quite a lot
I wish they release their game everywhere else. I would buy it even with premium 80 dollars.
if they dont fix stick drift whats the point in buying imo
hers hoping they do the switch and that pressures other companies like sony and microsoft to do it too
Ps2 total sales only recently hit 160 mill so switch is only 10 mill behind now. Interesting upload man.
7:39 I know the Switch OLED was an upgrade and everything but really? It’s the new Nintendo console.. you can’t just slap on an OLED?
The Vita launched with an OLED and then got rid of it with the revision. Besides, LCD ain't that bad now
OLED is more expensive
I was super late when it came to getting a switch. Wanted one since release but only just got one march 2024. Works great, good for family game nights or casual games with friends or family. Hopefully they release switch 2 with OLED instead of making a refresh like what they did with the first one. OLED is definitely the way to go
This feels more like a "Switch Pro" than a ""Switch 2", which is really bad considering that this is supposed to be Nintendo's next big console, which we've waited 8 years for.
What exactly did you expect though? It's gonna be more powerful with an improved and different design it's sll you'd want in a new counsel as long as the performance is substantial enough which ut seems like it might be
What stuff would you want for the next console to consider it a switch 2 for you?
Only asking because it feels like a switch 2 for me (the fps better be 60 tho and it should really launch with an OLED screen.)
Wait it was leaked that's what the nintendo yakuza gets
cant wait for the switch 2 to come out that way i can homebrew my switch without worry frfr
hey optimus long time viewer, i love your videos i also love oddessy i played it two week sago and finished it already i couldnt keep my hands off the game im so glad i purchased it finally, also i assume they stuck with lcd because it saves costs, we dont know if this system will be successful and im assuming nintendo is also afraid too but if the units sell great theyll def make a oled version. tbh they better make an ocarina of time and majoras mask remake tbh it will make the system sell like hotcakes
Ayo Optimus, can you look into the borderlands 4 vault hunter drama, everyone wants to call them bland but no one has to balls to call out the obvious fact that gearbox made them all black, they had set them up to be a fully diverse cast of vault hunters, then just made them all black. An NOBODY wants to say but everyone sees it. I know you do t care about borderlands but this bs. This needs to be called out. They set them up from left to right to be Latino-Asian-Scandinavian-and black then just black washed them all
Hopefully we can get themes like the PlayStation 4 if they even do something similar instant cop
I hope so…knowing Nintendo many people including me thought they were gonna make it barely stronger than an Xbox one 🎉
Mk9 is also a robot in Custom Robo
Switch, Switch Lite, Switch OLED, and Soon Switch 2? Hm
Hopefully 2:16 this new version doesn't have joy-con drift bs...
What about Switch Pro or Switch 3 ?
@HusIOnYR there's no Switch Pro or Switch 3 the only thing remotely close to pro is a Switch Pro Controller...
If they released the switch 2 the first time there were rumors about it coming "next year", it would already be outdated.
Speaking of outdated, $20 says it releases with hardware at least 2 years old right outta the gate.
Of course. Unless you wanna pay 5-600 or more
That’s literally how every console works ps5 is using 2018 tech
Imagine Breath of the Wild and Tears of the kingdom not dipping frames and running better
Hear me out, Nintendo switch 2.. but bring in an old relic that some of the Ds had. .
Compatability for Ds/3ds games.
I love that they use cartridges, even though physical media is being phased out. Just being able to load up a cartridges is a treat. All I want out of this new switch is a better graphical performance, and joycons that actually work. Because using the joycons is probably my least favorite part of owning a switch. I have had two pairs that have died on me. 80 bucks each time. Bs it is
Aaaaand queue the scalpers.
No oled.. i was gonna get one but now I'm definetly not
Knowing nintendo fans… it won’t
Yeah that’s fair. Zelda fans especially, but Mario fans and pikmin fans and smash bros fans and… really every fan for every Nintendo series is terrible
@ the real slice of irony is that it’s meant for kids. But it’s grown ups complaining
@@hexmaniac6810 yep, genuinely pathetic a good deal of the time
What sort of ridiculous patents will they file this time for the switch 2?
People have been leaking the switch to come "this year" for 5 years it's just bs to me smh
The current Switch doesn't shine a light to the previous Nintendo generation
The Switch 2 really needs to bring back the Wii U features and community aspect Warawara plaza
The Switch 2 should bring back the Wii U's poor sales.
@HusIOnYR The best selling Switch game is a Wii U port. Sorry
It's really not the roast you think it is.
@@ross3695_basedhax So the Wii U is still a massive flop.
@@HusIOnYR Wii U: Free online, Miiverse, Warawara plaza, Spotpass, good virtual console, gamertags, original games
Switch: Carried by Wii U ports for 3 years, paid online, flat UI, no background services, no Miiverse, return to friend codes, dripfeed NSO expansion pack, hardware issues
Tell me again which console flopped 😂
Popularity is not a valid answer.
That's true alot of people forget the Wii U has very good aspects.
I hope they fix the online eShop themes with switch 2.
What was the resolution?
Didnt catch it
OLEDs get burn in from games anyway
Burn in only happens if you play an ABSURD amount of time like 24 hours plus with no breaks absurd
I play on my OLED constantly and I've never experienced burn in
Any updates on the battery life?
@1:31. I hope that's a beta model and they improve on it a lot more. Thats looks too much like a regular switch.
Their Newer Nintendo systems usually take a little style from previous one in some way shape or form but this is almost exactly like a regular switch
I think we're also getting Metroid Prime 4
Look up Metroid prime beyond
None of my Joycons have ever lasted, you buy them new and like you said they are still broken
Gave up on them and only use a pro controller
I don't know if I'll get a switch 2, but I will get a switch lite 2.
We need the Wii game on the Switch 2, like Wii Play and Wii Music...
I 100% will not buy a switch 2 if it has an LCD screen
Will it be a significant technical upgrade though or is it going to be yet another cashgrab?
Will they again bog down future games with motion controls or will they drop the gimmick?
Will they finally improve their servers for reasonable multiplayer or will that take another decade?
And will they actually focus on making their own games or will they continue to be draconian bookburners?
Yo make a video on the drones and November congress meeting bro
They should bring back miiverse lol
Hope they make it so it's capable of more thn 20fps
The Switch 2 better have a new Super Smash Bros!
ofc it is
my only worry is the launch not really having much on it. The og switch launched and botw was pretty much the only game on it for like half a year.
That’s only because they rushed the switch out the door, they needed money badly and breath of the wild was the only way to get it.
@@minecrafter3448Yep, if the Wii U was more successful the switch probably would’ve came out closer to when the series X and PS5 came out. The switch got a major head start for 9th gen.
lcds have gotten better in the 7 years the console has existed
Switch 2 news (rumors and leaks) and Imma1st
And Whatnot Bro
Don't take my comments seriously. It's only a meme
Lcd burn less battery so its good for battery consumption
Could always use a bigger battery not the cheap one the built into their system
200 million PS2?! In Ken Kutaragi's cell-powered PS9 dreams.😂
OLED screen on launch version or else it's a missed opportunity
bet the nintendo switch 2, just like the Xbox Series X/S & PS5 are pretty much going to be obtainable for atleast the first 6 months to a year of release
ik we are in different times so there isn’t no global pandemic or massive chip shortage going on, however scaplers shown they should never be underestimated
Who else is waiting for the day when Nintendo of America finally publishes “Nintendo Switch 2 - Official Announcement Trailer” ?
I just want them to add a shop to pc marketplace
Hopefully we get wii u steeds eshop with music
