Ok, hear me out, but if you combine thorns “class” with shiny stone and some other Regen items, and then grapple to the ground, you can pretty effectively kill things afk

@@inkorporeal204 not hardmode bosses no. but the only boss that can rondomly show up in a post plantera world is mothra and or king slime and those both are capable of dieing to a proper thorns build as stupid as it is. wormscarf turtle set gives you 32%damage block before armour. add a full set of warding, star cross (not the bee cape. bees do nothing to hardmode enemies), shiny stone and master ninja gear and you can survive wayyyy to much for far too long doing absolutely nothing.
if you bother to swing a melee weapon you can kill golem reliably as well.(granted that doesnt mean too much)

For the "thorns" class also use the hive pack to buff the bees from the bee cloak. Also maybe the panic necklace since it fits with the "when hit" theme
I was thinking about adding those, but it made the section too long
Thorns potion as well.
The new addition of the DeerClops and the Accessory made this class a little bit more viable

Cactus armor has thorns effect too since 1.4 from what i remember
I made a really silly “max defense” build and pretty much everything is something I can just ignore. Important not about the brand of inferno: having the shield up ALSO raises your defense by 20, so even if you don’t time the party properly you still get a bonus 20 defense when the enemy hits you
The keybrand having effects now makes me feel even more like sora when using it

Pretty sure the lawn mower was intended to be used in golfing. It doesn't slow the ball down as much and lets the golfer hit it further. Representing the "green" and "fairway".
Golfing in Terraria is obscure, no one talks about it.
Also, 100% sure it was meant for golfing, the golfer sells it.

I actually tried a "thorns class" playthrough once. It was on Expert mode, since most of the wacky items for the thorn class are there, but I was unable to defeat the Wall of Flesh with it. The damage output at that point in the game is just too sucky. It was too bad, since it was a ton of fun up to that point.
Reforging should be reworked to be actually useful and allow early game gear to be upgraded to compete with endgame kits

@@letoplaz8139 The reforging mechanic in terraria, where you pay the goblin tinkerer to improve your gear: it should have been made to be useful, for example, by making gear you start with able to compete with endgame gear; ie. A wooden yoyo that does as much damage as a stardust dragon. FOR INSTANCE.

Ok a story about boulders with me and my 3 friend's playthrough of Terraria 1.4 Expert: We died too many times to it, but not to trapped boulders as you might think.
Since it was expert mode, we did have some rough time clearing and defending mobs with just the 4 of us in Blood Moons and Solar Eclipses. To fight back and keep ourselves safe, I decided to use the nifty Boulder Statue. I placed it hanging upside down on the outsides of the small castle I built as our home base and made a switch to activate "Siege Mode", which was just actuating the doorways shut and turn on the Boulder Statues on a timer. It worked pretty well.
Now, I built the castle just to the right of spawn, enough that you were outside of the castle. And if you were the poor sap that died while the castle was on lockdown, you would spawn outside and be met with boulders and die. This happened to basically all of us at some point, but one was especially unlucky because of his lag and had the highest body count by boulder death among all 4 of us.
Oh and it also didn't help that the pylon was also outside so you may warp in and eat a boulder by accident.
You're the only person playing Terraria the correct way

if anyone is having trouble finding the landmines:
Crimson: Left side, by the big boulder.
Caverns: Right side, in the circular air space on the upper half of the lower half of the screen.
Underground Jungle: Bottom center, by a pot.
Finally someone else understands how hideous mowed grass in Terraria is. One of my friends I used to play Terraria with bought one and mowed half the fucking world (including the things I built) and I was so pissed.

Personally, I like it. Nice n flat and c l e a n, plus I can grow massive amounts of trees on it without worrying about tall grass/weeds preventing saplings from growing

I've never thought of using it outside of golf courses. I was surprised when the vid even brought it up. it feels like the equivalent of bringing up that echo blocks aren't good for combat either like duh why would you think it was in the first place. next your gonna be like "these honey blocks aren't a good house building material"

STAHP is talking about the "Thorns Class". Rewatch the video if you need to. They're just saying it's a creative use of something that could be thought of as a debuff. Turtle armor makes enemies aggro easier.
I just got into this game even though I've owned it for a while. Far too late I know, but I dont think this game is done yet. There's so much that can come after and before the moon lord, the only reason they want to end it is because relogic are too unskilled of programmers to fix their initial mistakes, of which have been built upon over the years.

I truly feel the “boulders are the peak of comedy” line after just coming off a multiplayer game of terraria after running head first into a trap before my friend could say anything
As someone who has played ranger the proximity mine launcher is one of the best damaging weapons to use on golem and duke fishron when the mines are settled for their damage multiplier.
like dynamite in Minecraft. It's not _practical_ to blow up the village, and unless you've got a mob farm, it's not gonna be worth the trouble to get the materials, but damn if it isn't fun to watch those explosions.

Boulders are actually practical. Best way to kill Master Eater of Worlds on your first day, and can easily shred night time enemies, goblin army, and blood moons.

5:35 I should remind you, when you cut the grass in the game, no corruption, crimson, or hallow could spread on it, making it actually useful. It’s not really intended as being used a weapon.
Another accessory you could add to the thorns “class” is Deerclops’s expert mode drop, that summons shadow hands to attack your enemies, similar to the spores.

Worth noting for the Brand Of The Inferno: The increased damage of your next melee strike isn't limited to that specific melee weapon, meaning you can parry with that sword and then swap to, say, Meowmere for an even stronger attack.
I actually think the lawn mower is pretty good, i mean in a town, with sunflowers, peace candles, and a mowed lawn, mob spawns are pretty much gone.
The flare gun used to be highly practical It dealt about 17 damage of burn after you said something on fire

I really like using the keybrand against groups of enemies whenever the chance presents itself. It’s not a super useful weapon as there’s better options at that stage of the game and it makes you get super close to enemies, but it’s so cool and satisfying to use.
On another note, I wish the parrying mechanic for the sergeant united shield and brand of the inferno were used more. At the same time I don’t want to take away what makes the weapons special, but it’s a mechanic that fits so well with the melee class.
I love the keyblade in terraria, it's ability shreds ANYTHING it touches.

on the other hand, one time i was playing with a friend and we decided to try duke fishron on master-journey mode after only defeating one mech boss and somehow my friends zappinator managed to pull off an insane shot and kill duke from like 30% health or something, completely skipping phase 3

Because from my direct and second hand experience with the Zapinator in-game, it's one of the best weapons for it's time.
As you mentioned with the thorns class, summoner is great because you randomly kill the destroyer within seconds and you are like “wait that thing spawned” but early hardmode you just wish for a blood moon to go fishing and to not be obliterated by spiders

the Crystal Vile Shard is one of my favorites, despite how useless it is after a couple boss fights
Well, Keybrand is actually the best true melee (without projectiles) weapon in the game right now. I think if you focus on a crit chance and melee speed, this thing is very powerful. (Shyguymask, I summon you!)
Unfortunately, true melee still sucks, this is fundamental design flaw, but it's the devs that made it so. Contact damage is OP. However, it's now feeling much better than before.
If they remove the knockback scaling from expert and master mode, maybe true melee will be descent vs mobs at least.
Maybe they should give true melee weapons special abilities like control time or freeze your enemies it would make true melee less painful

The inner tube is actually sick for early game ocean diving, you can release down to rocket up to the surface and I actually had a lot of fun using it in the start of my most recent world.
idk why but I am obsessed with the inner tubes the fact that they make you look so wierd and allow you to just vibe in the water is so pointlessly fun that I would rather have one of those than a Neptunes Shell
