    When the first Tinyhawk launched I was skeptical, since everything about it was proprietary. When I first flew it, I understood why. And I loved it.
    Each part of the Tinyhawk micros is made specifically for them. Everything fits and works perfectly together and gives an immensely enjoyable experience right out of the box.
    The Tinyhawk 2 fixes all* the little things that were not-that-great in the previous versions and gets a solid recommendation for any pilot skill level.
    *I hope next time Emax uses solid-pin PH2.0 connectors, since this is the only flaw remaining to be fixed.
    (Yes, you can flash 48KHz ESC firmware to the ESCs)

    just got my tinyhawk 2 today, after screwing with the rates, and adjusting the joystick inputs., it's an amazing quad. i kinda wish i got this from the start instead of my betafpv starter kit 2. so much more power. ( but i'd have probably crashed a lot more. so i guess it's a great noob kit if you don't want to screw with beta flight at all) also, the tiny hawk 2 is quite a bit louder, and mine which is v2 had plug in motors vs soldered. i won't notice it at my level, but just be aware for anyone buying them thinking it'll be soldered.

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the input! It makes sense to have plug-in motors in this type of quad, it will make repairs a ton more easy. I am very happy to hear you enjoy it, I love Tinyhawks too. They are a solid platform for any skill level.

    I fly my TH2 (1s) mostly in acro mode for cruising outdoors and in parks. Could you share your rates which you used for 1s and any suggestions to get a more responsive and locked in feel when flying in acro mode?

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I usually start with 1.15 / 0.74 and 0.10 expo for pitch and roll and 1.00 / 0.73 / no expo for yaw. It is a bit sluggish on 1S because of its weight, a 1S-only lightweight whoop feels much better in the air.

    Changing the batteries to ph2 will increase the fly time by how much?

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you mean the stock battery leads from folded PH2.0 to solid pin PH2.0, I don't know. I changed it right away, as I do with most micros. The benefits are much greater after a few plugs/unplugs, the folded pins can deform and provide reduced contact area.

    • @muteFPV

      You should be able to change via betaflight osd, using the sticks of the RTF controller. If not, there is a button on the VTx that you can use for band / channel / power adjustments.

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are talking about bigger quads then yes, ok, you can add a GPS. But it is significant additional weight for micros. I have not used the iTelemetry product and have no idea about it. The hellgate buzzer is tiny and very light. And especially helpful if you are trying to find your quad because the gps will give you its last known position but if it is tall vegetation / bushes etc you can spend hours looking for it...

      @@muteFPV I like my TH2. BTW, bought after seeing this video, thank you.
      Apart from the PH2 hollow pins, I think it has another flaw.
      When flying in 2S, the PID profile changes *automatically*, thanks to auto_profile_cell_count.
      But Emax also recommends to switch to the appropriate *rates* profile. This has to be done *manually*
      This is surprising because the rates profile is a pilot setting, but it can also handles a throttle limit.
      This is what Emax did, using a throttle limit of 75% for this rate profile, probably because the ESC FETs are undersized for 2S.

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @mctoun I am happy you like it :) I haven't had any problems with its ESCs, without any throttle limit on 2S. I suppose they recommend this so it is easier to control the throttle (it has a pretty good punch on 2S for a beginner).

    • @muteFPV

      Maybe they changed it for easier repairs. Soldered motor wires will perform better but the Tinyhawks are heavily marketed for beginners so it makes sense to make them easy to repair. The solder joints of the motor wires are pretty small for someone new to the hobby. I am just guessing, I don't know if this is the actual reason. It depends on the battery and the battery connector. I disagree with the choice Emax has made and highly recommend changing the stock folded-PH2.0 to a solid-PH2.0 (or in my case a BT2.0) connector. If voltage drops to (or below) 3V under load, it is time to land - they recover to around 3.4-3.5V resting voltage (depends on how hard you have flown)

      @@muteFPV thank you. Last question, do you still recommend emax tinyhawk l rtf for complete beginner like me?

      Definitely, maybe the V2 is better so you can move to 2S when you become familiar with flying 1S

      Tinyhawk με κλειστά μάτια. Αν δεν φυσάει πετάει μια χαρά και έξω. Τρώει ξύλο, έχει φτηνές μπαταρίες και είναι ωραία στημένο. Tinyhawk με μια 10αρια μπαταρίες (παραπάνω αν θα το πετάς 2S) και είσαι έτοιμος για εξάσκηση!

      @@muteFPV It all depends what you are looking for of course but the year old mobula7 or trashcan had kind of more oompf with their high kV motors even when the lipos were toast when you landed :). But so far emax (I'm a huge fan since the tinyhawk freestyle btw) never disappointed quality wise , so I'm sure it's a solid reliable option.

      @muteFPV But wasn't it quite a bit lighter? The frame plus components on its own and 2x300mAh vs 2x520mAh is an enormous difference. Also I always cut motor connectors on my micros and solder directly to the board for the last bit performance gain (sometimes up to 25%). Maybe my perception is skewed because I can't remember how it was stock.

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't flown the Mobula7 for a long time so I can't recall. The motor KV was more or less the same if I remember correctly. I don't have any 2S thrust data yet so my only metric is the enjoyment I felt when flying :P
      I just checked my M7 video, weight is more or less the same too (31g dry - 44,7g with 2x 1S 250mAh batteries).

    See how the period is used to indicate decimals in literally everything? You're a terrible person! Commas aren't decimal marks!

      You are the terrible person, for not knowing what you are talking about and misjudging others because of your ignorance. I am from Europe and in most European countries comma is the decimal marker.
