Finally, a video that explains what those red wires are that plug into the pink"backsight," wire, only took me 1 hour to find,
I was confused by this too. I don't have a built in monitor, so it's save to tape up and ignore this wire when connecting to a dedicated reversing monitor.

So when installing on a car... how does the (pink) back sight wire know when the car is in reverse? I assume that is the reverse signal wire right?
The reversing leading line is wired to the positive of the battery. When the shift knob turns to "R", the screen will display reversing images.

I get it, So to clarify: the pink wire is the reverse signal as well as the power and black is ground?
not pink wire only with current of back reverse light
The pink wire backlight or reversing line is connected to the reversing lead from the car transmission or reversing light. Otherwise if connected to the positive battery the reversing light camera and monitor is always on.

You connected the power wire to the brake light, not the reverse light.

The pink wire, which is the reversing wire, together with the red wire from extension cable of camera, is connected with the ACC and B+ cable of the power cable.
The black wire from the camera were is going..?(to the negative of the battery)?because my camera works but she is never shut down...even with the key of the car out..!what is possible wrong...?heeeeelp...!
It goes to your positive reverse light wire
tap the red wire to the positive wire and the black one to the negative on the reverse light.....you have to remove your tailights in order to access the reverse light wires...

No, you need to tap into your rear reverse positive and negative. Those red wires on the yellow cable are useless, you need to run a dedicated run of your own wire from the your reverse light's positive to the head unit's back/reverse wire. You will also want to wire the camera's positive and negative to your reverse light's wires as well. The camera will turn on and receive power when you put the car in reverse. These videos are beyond stupid and un practical.

just use acc power. for on and off.
quick switch to backup.
its a reverse camera, it should only go on when you are reverse parking the car. Your reverse light wires is the proper way to do it.

Those red wires on each end of the rca's are actually 1 wire ran along with the rca's. You wont need to run your own wire, it's alread provided for you. Just connect the positive and negative to you reverse bulb wires, then add the red wire to the positive side. Connect the other side of the rca to you head unit and the red wire to pink wire (or back/reverse).

Only problem there is that the camera is powered all the time..wouldn't be my way.but,whatever u want I guess.
Do not connect the trigger wire on the accessory swtich wire (red), instead tap it on the reverse light wire....
