Hi, i've a mtk8163 with canbus and I connected the power to the third pin of the car radio. when I put the car in reverse the rear camera LEDs turn on but the video signal is not there. can you help me?

Check if your reverse light turns on when car is in reverse connect the positive of camera to the positive of reverse light wires and connect positive to positive of reverse wire from the video wire as well hope this helps

hi there, if it’s an android unit then the wire is most likely located on your power loom side and this loom plug and its socket is normally labelled “G” and the wire is number “5” on your unit’s diagram. Therefore G5. This will be your Reverse/Back/Rear power cable. Hope this helps you. I’m still baffled at why he didn’t need to hook up the Ground (negative power) wire🤔 and how it worked without it🤔or is that ground already wired to the Ground wire within the RCA Cable🤔🤔🤔
I have connected and done everything to the video the camera works for a little and then loosing signal . If I start the van it looses signal straight away… any ideas ?
If the vehicle has canbus does the reverse trigger wire still need to be wired to the reverse light to trigger reverse or can it be powered using the 12v ant blue cable on the stereo wiring?
Canbus, don't need a reverse wire connection but still need to connect the camera wire to pin3 wire on the android radio

Not sure about the guidelines turning but as for audio when I put the car in reverse the audio is muted automatically it you can turn it back up with the volume whilst still in reverse

what is it with videos not having enough volume? If I crank to 100 (to actually hear this) when the YT ads come on, kiss the speakers good bye... as such, good bye til you fix the audio, and I look elsewhere for the same info put out by someone that knows how to manage audio levels.

Thank you for this buddy but I am still trying to figure why mine is not working, I have attached the red wire from the camera to pin 3 I believe is Accessory wire at the back of android unit, at the back of the vehicle I have connected the video cable from the camera to the long cable connection and the connected the ground cable, red wire connected to reverse light. with all these but don’t get video, only trajectory lines. I have canbus and my unit is by T’eyes. Is there anyway you can help with diagnosis. Thank you again.

Its not always the third wire on some harnesses, but it is always the third wire on the android unit. if you see a wire labelled "Back" or "Reverse" use it
How does the camera know when youre in teverse? I didnt see you connect to the reverse trigger line

So you dont need the ground or take power from say reverse lamp just lut triger on red and its get power from stereo fron the videocable cool

Yes it does i dont use reverse lamp i have pigtail from rca cable on red power leave ground no need the. Pigtail from stereo trigger tada all done

@@pluscenterI’ve tried it on all the different settings and with the video in connection and video out, it just comes up saying no signal

@@pluscenterit is, it’s brown on my head unit, that connects to a black box which has 3 white boxes on the end. 1 smaller one which connects to a connector in the van already and the 2 bigger ones have no where to connect to
Just followed your video screen saying no signal..brown wire,video in but no signal any suggestion ...wen through settings but no signal 😢
You have to connect the black and red wires of the camera to the wires of the reverse light.
You really should use proper wire connectors and splicers in car installation instead of just twisting wires together and putting a bit of tape over it. That's just half-assing it and asking for trouble eventually.
