Apparently it's 27" from the front of the trans to the shifter, and the guy I was consulting for information said the shifter may be too far back. I'm thinking it'll be fine, it looks like the firewall is about 28-30" from where I should want to put my shifter. I think it'll sit just right. But I'm asking you, what year t5 did you put in your swapped Vic, and is the tailshaft housing length issue actually an issue? I'm thinking it'll be just fine but I'd appreciate any knowledge you'd be willing to shed on me to help me get this done!
Cheers
The trans In question is a non world class (probably 80s t5) it's getting hard to find a manual trans for these cars, (I missed the opportunity to get a 3650 a few months ago 😢) I don't wanna miss out again!
Also I'm kinda wishing I lived in the states, tranny prices have gone ridiculous for us panther enthusiasts in the great white north!
Standard shift, awsome!
I have to make run right 1st... having tough time brother lol
@@bstfordchannel923 Hang in there.
@@tenorhowlermonkey3454 trying brother i get hit with the normal brother day to day stuff..
Hey hey
yo yo!
Dude... I love your channel.. But, I'm an odd cat so... Can't exactly use me for data..
I'd love to have the motor out of that MK VIII... I drive a 95 and my wife has a 97
So, I'm looking to have a couple of spare engines hanging around..
Plus, I want to build one so I can put about 15lbs of boost to it.
I have one in my shop but, it belongs to a friend... He's building it for his Vic...
Keep it up, bro... Guys like me will watch, regardless...
thank YOU for this comment also... I know what to do, but THINGS have to be laid out in a way to make it honest.. YOu can front a lie on this ( if you get caught up in the views ) Chaneels like ours are just simple guys in the back yard Hotrodding its just that simple ... Touching things that OTHERS guys can get ( more relateable ) i would think foir those that wrench
@@bstfordchannel923 the last thing I want to see is you doing stuff you don't believe in because someone says it will help your channel. You're doing fine, bro.
@@tngtacticalmiata1219 The guy whom i was talking about .. I thought he was cool, but he go in the car guy by ( video game ) Midnight Club... So he need to be entertained by the antics vs the pain and the joy of the car world... I will not follow what he is speaking by no means brother.. you are so right!
My son picked up a clean crown Vic with 78k miles for 17 hundred bucks, was from a good friend.. was an ex border patrol vehicle. I'm not a Ford guy but that car is fun as h*ll to rip around and not care about.
wow NOW thats a GREAT DEAL... The funny thing EVERY car guy no matter the Brand they love... They respect the Crown Vic for what it is... And thats the cool thing... Like I adore the Chevy Nova ( split bumper Camaro ) plenty others but those are just some mean looking cars.. When a car is good looking and tough ( its respected )
One of my fery first cars was a 63 nova. Loved it but would've preferred a 65 nova. Never had a split bumper but that is without a doubt my favorite. Something about that front end that just gets me..
OH IT HURTS LOL!
lmao it hurt so bad that you see something and by buying it things start to snowball ( on buying stuff ) and I did have jack but... Things had worked out in the end ( part 2 ) of the junkyard run
BST your dynamite BST you'l win the fight BST your a powerload BST watch him explode"✌❤&👟

Just concentrate on finishing your builds are channels will never do that well because we're not goofy we're not blowing up engines were not burnout kings and queens
I second this comment. I have a f150 I am into the OBS stuff. All this silly customization and goof troop stunts. I am not into either.
lmao the dude was on one... He was just reaching in all kinds of ways ( and is a Godly man ) and such... You are right just focus on the build and have fun and WIN and LOOSE some at the same time... Right now I can not figure out this misfire and it sucks...almost 3 weeks not trying to figure this out.. Leaning to the ecu right now.. Now i have to go deeper to check voltage to sensors plugs thats next...
@@bstfordchannel923 a misfire can be a wide range of issues vacuum leaks coils spark plugs
@@crownvictorialifestyle4421 You name it i checked... Now its either the bad ecn or need to the tune the car... I am going to take off down the down pipe and see what happens....Going to run it like how i had it and see if thats the issue of the ( running rich )
