I'm highly devastated by his passing, but I refuse to believe that this is it for the band. I don't know the other friend. Pretty sad too.
Tom was the former guitarist of the band and the twin-brother of Dan, the drummer. He died of skin cancer last summer. You can watch him play in this video.
tom is the reason this band exist ( as proclaimed by sam every show since tom passed away ) he was the main song writer, wrote most political lyrics, guitarist and a good friend to these guys ( also brother of drummer )

Holy shit how am I just now seeing this. Time after time I see video of live sets that just don't come anywhere close to getting across how disgustingly ferocious the performance is. This has to be the best job I have ever seen, I really could feel what it would have been like to be there while I was watching this, a first for me and truly leagues above the norm. Keep it up, you'll put the rest of them out of business if they don't step their game up.

We are blushing :) We don´t understand why there isn´t more hi quality live content as its not soooo hard to produce on such a level, you just need a bunch of passionate guys on the cameras, in the editing bay, the soundtruck and in the studio. We are a small festival and compared to the big ones we run this production on a small budget. But all the guys involved are musicians or fans just like you guys...we just fuxxing love live music - especially punk hardcore and metal.
All the love and support the people give to Architects is beautiful. I just hope with my heart to be in one show of theirs one day, to leave it all screaming and banging their songs. I can hardly believe Tom is no longer with us. He will live in every song he made, and on each heart of us, the fans.
I know this is eight years later, but just shows how good this bands sounds with only Dan having in-ear monitors.. a testament to the band to be honest! Absolutely flawless

I'm going to sound really stupid for saying this, but they remind me of how slipknot played in 1999 through 2002, by that I mean how the singer just gives it his all on the harsh vocal spots and the highs, and also how the drummer sounds perfect and If not better than the studio version and how the guitarists sound almost exactly like the studio version of not better, (like the drummer).
He's got a really solid technique. Most metal vocalists get a half decent technique and don't practice. Which ends up messing up their voice after a while if they're touring a lot and screaming night after night. Sam still sounds as good now as he did back in 2010, so he's clearly doing something right.
Incredible performance. Not sure what to think about the vocals but they are growing on me and I can say that he is incredibly talented. The whole band has great energy and the vocalist is powerful as fuck. I used to do vocals and drums when I was in bands. I give him ultimate props for keeping up that energy.
Architects is an amazing band live from what I've seen of their older stuff. I initially didn't think they sounded good live as I only discovered these guys with their latest release "All our gods have Abandoned Us" and I think Sam seriously needs to give his voice a rest. Like I said, I initially really didn't think he was that good but after watching all of these older live videos I can absolutely see why many think Architects are one of if not THE best live bands out there. This was amazing. I really do want him to take a break though so he doesn't damage his voice. Love this band.
