For those who think Staves are weak... Try to fully charge them, uncharged shots are pretty underwhelming but fully charged are just ridiculous, regardless of which stave you use. Although the Spicy one being a bouncy ball that can also hurt you, is a bit of a pain.
Yeah the sheer damage of the spicy staff and sour is worth, unless I'm doing challenges I use them mainly. Fresh isn't as good but it has less windup at the cost of no uncharged attack and it's still the best fresh weapon IMO
But I recommend especially if your using spicy to use uncharged shots if a strong enemy is too close to you but at range is where the spicy and sour staves excel because the spicy staff at full power does similar damage as a full three hit combo with a coaltana on the broodmother and with the brood mother start charging as she's descending about half way down

1. You only used the sprig bow (worst weapon in the game), then skipped the insect and bard bow because you judged them based on the sprig bow. I was bummed by this. 2. I was so confused about you bombing the grubs. I didn't understand the rule that you couldn't dig them up and then shoot them. 3. The orb weaver kill should count, but props on you for including it. This was so much fun to watch. I've been watching the replays of your streams every day since you were doing this challenge. Keep up the great work! You've easily become one of my favorite content creators.
1. he skipped Insect bow because he didnt get enough fangs and it wasnt worth the time to fight a second wolf spider, didnt you hear that it took over 8 minutes? 2. duh its obvious digging them out deals like 60% of their hp as melee shovel damage 3. i disagree the game is extremly buggy killing you randomly, why should something 1000000% out of your control count? given i'm playing coop but i would have 3 deaths from fall damage alone from the game deciding to fling me 600-700 cm into the air (glad daredevil exists as i never use tufts)

The staves are insanely good, you shoot one and switch to the bow. You shoot one and block. Switch to the staff. And just do it again and again. Everything gets cooked with that combo
Am I the only person that at the beginning of a game will gather a little bit of clay to get to the top yard so I can just ride around on a Rollie pollie and let him kill everything so I can get a bunch of good stuff just riding on a Rollie pollie lol
Sheesh, I didn’t realize bows were so good, I used bows up till black ox bow, but switched to a vampire build, the elemental arrows make it like 2x as good
I used a spicy staff for the majority of my broodmother kills because you need to keep away from her only use uncharged spicy staff shots when shes close
@@jesusjuice999 not if you use the single shot u til your far enough a way and keep a couple more healing items then usual incase of misjudging I was also too lazy to fight the brood mother until after I had beaten the mant (second easiest boss in the game the first is the infected ladybird in the haze lab) so every now and then I'd have the mant distract for me but yeah unless your unlucky enough to get the jump attack every time you try you should be fine to just try it and find your best way to utilise the charged shits (I also used the wizard hat and whittle wizard I don't know how much that helps but the burning effect is pretty useful at times)

Nahhh, you can't block after shooting, only the crossbow can do this. This makes you really vulnerable in singleplayer and makes the crossbow the only real good weapon here

The one thing I hated about the devs is the cos rant nerfs to amazing gear. This isn’t a pvp game where balancing is improtant. It’s mostly a single player game where you can invite your friends and kill bugs. Also isn’t that the point of the plus modes? Making the bugs stronger each time to make your op gear?
The devs don’t nerf amazing gear, they hit builds that are literally gamebreaking. Surely you don’t think the summon build that oneshot the mantis was healthy? What’s the point of making an enemy with attack patterns if you can oneshot it

Would the bows ability to attack more quickly work better with elemental arrows? I can't really find information on it, so I'm not certain. Are elemental arrows flat damage? I found myself rather enjoying the Bard's Bow (Mind you, my experience was Co-op, with the other person really enjoying full heavy armor mitigation tanking, so I got away with alot) I felt like I decimated things with Elemental Arrows and the Archery Perk.

The following weapons can't awake weapon. Falling weapons can't awake weapon now. Yes, you're the only one who makes you'll be fluent that easy. You need no the wrong thing that count too

The water gives the inf brood a life steal effect. This heals the inf brood both when it hits the player but also when the player BLOCKS. The only way to stop it from healing is to PARRY
I’m not sure if this goes against ur rules but I feel like throwing pebbles would still count as ranged, since you’re technically not using it as a melee
Just wanted too say you cant do the Quick relode Thingy with crosbow you STILL get the Debuff its hard explain but it doesnt work the arrow does less damege even after the debuff is gone you sadly need to fully reloude to get full damge sry
Just block after shooting. You get a debuff that makes your arrows do less damage but it lasts just as long as it normally takes to reload. The advantage is you can parry incoming attacks and sprint while waiting for the debuff to run out
Sorry if I'm just showing my ignorance but I have a question. If you were playing on normal difficulty how could use the Handy Gnat, right around 25:17, to build anything? I thought we could only use Handy Gnat in custom games? If we can use it in normal games please tell me how so I can too. It's always locked out for me.
I made the world as custom to change 2 things. 1) disabling faction reactivity as I didn't want my base raided. 2) Enabling the handy gnat as it just makes life easier and should be unlockable anyway.
Well, you failed. As soon as you used the bombs for the Grubs. Bombs are bombs. They aren't ranged weappons. And IF it was no sarcasm, we all could see you did get hit by the Wolf Spider.
Before watching, I must say there are only two hiccups with this in my book. Getting to the first crossbow and then infected broodmother. The rest is jokingly simple.

Web sacs are a resource just like grass or pebbles. I’m allowed to break them. The ranged only means using only ranged weapons to kill enemies. You literally cannot get a bow and arrows without the method I used

ALSO, a real fact, you only need 4 grass planks to make 2 half walls to make your way up the upper yard accent

Heyyyy, I beat the entire game with it and said there were some things much better than others, but staves and regular bows are still doo doo
Before watching, I must say there are only two hiccups with this in my book. Getting to the first crossbow and then infected broodmother. The rest is jokingly simple.

Web sacs are a resource just like grass or pebbles. I’m allowed to break them. The ranged only means using only ranged weapons to kill enemies. You literally cannot get a bow and arrows without the method I used
