I'm lowkey waiting for the graphical mod that turns the Truffle Tussle explosion into a fiery Falcon Punch.

Fists are actually amazing against bosses as they uniquely bypass all resistances and defences, they’re particularly good against the Assistant Manager since you’re stuck with level 5 weapons at the most until after you kill it, and typically you won’t have any weapons worth upgrading anyway
The speedrun strat is to use fists with Truffle Tussle on him and use Spiky Sprig throws with the Eyepatch bonus damage to 1 shot all the adds, and even on Whoa I uses my fists on him every time

For context for everyone, the power scaling and defence that enemies run especially black widow arent scaled at all with fist attacks. So basically using your fists is extremely overpowered with the right mutations and armor.
Exactly, people don't realise how good it can be because you just assume fists are awful because of what you learn from playing other survival games

Fists are damn good, I’m doing a fists only run myself on medium and was 5 shoting orb Weaver juniors thinking this was easy. It has just come to my attention I forgot to activate lil fist.

Don't forget to set respawn at the bed by the tayzt in the pond! Especially when doing the pond with no diving gear it helps save so much time

Myth: equipping a charm that has a matching element to your weapon will further increase your damage out put. Example: equipping a salt charm while using a salt weapon.

This doesnt have anything to do with the video but my 3rd and 5th haze data are glitched and I have a 400+ day world.
It'll be fixed in the next patch I think, they know that it's bugged
What were your final mutations?
Lil fist, truffle tussle, Coup de grass, Cardio Fan and Spicy safety/mithridatism/natural explorer depending on what I was doing
he should do this again in 1.3 because infected broodmother
Fists are so bad now it becomes almost impossible to do challenges like this

I could do this but then it would take a lot longer and people would say "add a goal of 100%ing the game" and it would take FOREVER to do that for every challenge

I was using the mask of the mother demon, widow spaulder and ladybug leggings with the power droplet as my trinket. I had lil fist, truffle tussle, coup de grass and 2 other mutations.

ahhh kinda sad it wasnt really fists only, hammers axes and axes are cheating :p You can use bug aggro to get the building parts you need, upgrading is hard since you can only pick up brittle from the ground, so far lil fist doesnt break quartzite nodes, but does break bombable rocks so i dont see why it would be impossible.
I'm currently trying to do a full fist run, the only tricky part for now is the gum nuggets, but i have hopes that i'll find enough in chests around the labs. I'm aiming for a clear, not all bosses since i'd be missing all molars you can break, leaving the open ones only.

you can't beat the game like that
Yeah this is literally impossible. You can't get the key for the minotaur maze. You can't get the woodpile BURG.L chip and you also can't open wendell's SCA.B
Some games have bosses/areas impossible to reach via melee (looking at you Ramon Salazar from RE4) so the accepted method for such a challenge is "use weapon X (wherever possible)", etc
