Fucking reletable
Bro's computer is begging for water or death
The engine going off right in tune with the music at around 8:30 is goated
I like how the kerbals saw the black hole and immediately were like let's go there.
Yep. And also in the most insane way possible like true Kerbals
@@Javelyn_Shadow fr. that ship is huge
@@boguekerbalover half the ship’s total length is the engine, 132m to be precise. Yeah, the far future technologies antimatter engine is a bit tricky to work with
@@Javelyn_Shadow niceee. Do you have any ideas on how to do an SSTO down to Roquea's surface? The gravity & pressure is killing me fr. could be mods, ideas etc...
@@boguekerbal The main problem with trying to land on Roquea’s surface is that there isn’t any solid ground to land on, so some sort of seaplane SSTO is necessary. I would try and use parts from the OPT spaceplane mod, specifically the engines, as a couple of them only need electric charge and atmosphere to work. The MK2 expansion mod also adds a nuclear reactor in the MK2 fuselage shape which can power those engines, I would probably use those when designing the plane
I love how on 2:15 he has a fps counter saying 9 fps
Doh! I’ve been found out!
(That was pretty much my average fps during filming, except for the bits which don’t feature the Ancalagon and its side-mounted spaceplanes but oh well, 656 parts is approaching the limits of what my setup can handle)
@@Javelyn_Shadow whats the setup?
Bro’s computer needs more radiators than everyone’s first reentry craft 💀
The ISV's name is a reference to Ancalagon the black from the Silmarillion, right ?
@@cantasdan AT LAST! SOMEONE GOT THE REFERENCE!
Although the fps is low, it’s simply magnificent! Kalbela systems are simply imbued! thank you for the beautiful video dude) I wish you all the best!)))
That Spaceplane is giving me Gerry Anderson vibes, nice.
i need a full list of mods right here and right now(please)
The Venture Star inspired ISV is so sick
@@GrapeFlavoredAntifreeze to be honest, the only feature that was directly inspired by the Venture Star was the side-mounted spaceplanes
@@Javelyn_ShadowYeah, the side mounted space planes are one cool resembling feature, but so is the engine’s fuel source.
@@Coolproko if you look at it that way then the Ancalagon has more in common with the Venture Star than I thought
great vid man !
:D
This is really cool! The only thing I didn’t like were the laggy parts, so if you can, please consider speeding up the footage in said part, either way, I love this.
@@Coolproko thanks for the kind words, and I will definitely speed up footage in the next video (even though it probably won’t matter much because I’ll probably not be controlling a 650 part craft next time)
@@Javelyn_Shadow Thank you!
pleeaase show us your modset, anyways, holy shit this is made so well
@@williamliao4829 thanks for your kind words
Unfortunately I have about 60 mods installed and I can’t list all of them, but if you have a question about a specific feature I can tell you which mod it is from
@CWEditOfficial I don’t have CKAN so I’m not sure if I can use it to export my mod list
Humans are so much more boring than Kerbals. We would have spent decades sending probes through that wormhole before building and sending a massive, crewed, interstellar exploration vehicle into what could be a galactic pancake maker.
@@Andreas-gh6is True, by the time politicians get anything done nothing would have changed in the slightest. This is why NASA is still making SLS despite how outdated it is, they can’t get permission from Washington to scrap SLS and make a better rocket
I couldn't build a ship even half that size for the life of me
@@axoodle hangar extender is a useful mod for large vessels
Edit: corrected expander to extender
@@Javelyn_Shadow oh that's what that mod was called
one thing you could try to improve your fps is use better timewarp use slowmo then speed it up in post
True ksp 9 fps expirience
KSP? This is a complete different game at this point lol
How did you make that ssto so cool looking?
@@fissis1955 if you are talking about the first one, then I used the B9 aerospace parts mod to make it. If you’re talking about the other ones which were attached to the Ancalagon, then I used the Textures Unlimited Recolour Depot (TURD) mod to apply a metallic appearance to all compatible parts
Dope design on the mother ship. I downloaded Far Future as well; how did you manage the heat with the radiators? It doesn’t look like you have enough?
@@juanbolanos1544 the main reason for the small amount of radiators is that the engine itself has built in radiators and at maximum length (which this one is) the built in radiators offset the heat generated by the engine
@@Javelyn_Shadow oh okay. I didn’t know that length was a factor. I’ll need to play with it more. I used the ‘Cascade’ because of the look but I had to offset 50MW of heat!
@@juanbolanos1544 the cascade is one of the best in the mod, but the heat emitted can be difficult to work with
It would be really cool to know the mods used.
Expensive undertaking, considering it was all just to drop a flag on a lone planet. Not much else going on here.
EDIT: I did like the video, though. But whichever kerbal approved this mission needs to sweep floors for the rest of his or her life.
This is a great comment and I sort of agree with it but the Apollo program was primarily about flag, footprints and America beating the Soviets at space exploration so I think this mission is more plausible than it looks given the technology used and the Kerbal’s unstoppable desire to explore space (which at this point is a key element of the Kerbal image)
@@Javelyn_Shadow Yeah, I agree with the counter point. Achievement just for achievements sake, especially when we are talking about the space race, is an excellent example. Didn’t really think about it in that way.
Still, though. Larger scale, larger waste, sure.
At least Neil and Buzz came back with some rocks. Most importantly, they came home friends. Lol
Question, is this inspired my the interstellar movie?
@@Aries.thegodofwar I would say that this is indirectly inspired by the interstellar movie, as I didn’t think about it when making the video, but the premise is similar and one of the planets is an interstellar reference as well as using an SSTO to land on the planet
Is this near and far future or interstellar?
near and far future
what mod adds the cockpit and cabin? (At the start)
@@musicaccount-f7h B9 aerospace (it’s an old mod)
Looking to install this for my self, what's the version you are using?
