Well, generally I would agree. The "problem" is: First Class also means First Class Lounge in Dubai with a la carte menu. In 95% of my flights I never eat on the plane, because I mostly had already enjoyed the brillant food in the lounges prior to the flight.

I've had the awesome opportunity to fly in these beautiful suites several times, and I'm really impressed how fantastic they are. Its practically better than having your own private jet. Emirates really did a fantastic job with this product.

It's strange that other airlines haven't figured out that fully enclosed is the big big unique selling point of this, haven't seen it from anyone else. It seems like it makes such a difference.

Great vid as always Noel. One question, when I travel long haul, occasionally in premium, I often get too excited in the experience watching films and having a few drinks to sleep. As a plane geek do you sometimes find yourself in the same scenario on a great flight like this one?
When I flew on Emirates it was the best experience in flying. They go out of their way to make you comfortable, and flying from the U.S to Dubai and on to Pakistan you better fly Emirates for that long journey.
Travelled business and first class many times with Emirates, to dubai, Singapore and also Hong Kong it’s a great product and feel like they are excellent especially on the 380 in business class in 1-2-1 confit. Maybe you could try Cathay pacific business or first class, great product also 👍🏼
Stayed at KL airport myself on my way to New Zealand. Stayed in the Malaysian Airways hotel. Prety decent for the price. One of the cleanest airports I've ever seen.
Nah ... 1st time I went across the Atlantic in a Connie we had lie flat beds and the whole plane was like 1st class is nowadays. Every ticket cost a small fortune. Okay, it was a bit 1950's design and style wise, but it was splendid in a way you just don't see anymore. Most of all, everyone dressed in their Sunday best to go flying ... Very swish and great fun. Give me "chocks away" every time ...
@@deec3960 Yes, thats what they claim.... But in reality its using it as an excuse to cut costs. On the flights I been on they restricted service of drinks to meal times only and just beer and wine (Virgin Atlantic)
Yeaaahh... I just looked up London to Kuala Lumpur, first class on Emirates, and it was over US$8,000. I don't know how you got a ticket for US$1,300, but it's not a normal fare.

I was excited cos I picked up a return flight on an A350-900 from MEL to CDG for $865USD with earning 100% on my frequent flyer miles and with a 32” seat pitch and now I see this and feel all deflated

American Airlines is cramming people on flights. I was on a full seater on a flight from Charlotte NC to JFK a couple days ago. They did hand out a sanitizing wipe to wipe your seat area down before sitting tho.
i'm pretty sure this is a direct response to the qsuite its just as over the top but in first but instead of business.its literally dubai compressed into an aeroplane seat.
In comparison, next time your are in KL, take the train from Central station down to Woodlands, Singapore it really is a great trip, but without the luxury
Where have you been ? Your Emirates Suite was new over two years ago ! I'll have Singapore Airlines First Class Suite on the A380 anytime; at least you get a proper bed, not a seat converted into a bed ! And it is a fully enclosed Suite, so has Qatar and Etihad ...
Actually you are wrong SQ and EY first class suites on the a380 are not fully enclosed, neither are the QR J class suites. EK is the only airline that provides fully enclosed First Class on 12 of their aircrafts.

When you travel long haul frequently there comes a time when you’ve watched so many movies that you don’t even switch the screen on!

So what do you do if a couple is traveling together in first class? They should have a 2 person suite or connecting suites.

Emirates do Alcohol on every flight as far as I know and taken 50+ as lived in Dubai for 5 years
