Just flew business class on the world’s longest flight with Singapore’s A350ULR from Newark, NJ to Singapore and it was the most amazing flight ever. The hospitality, service, food, and overall product had me speechless. Singapore deserves the first place spot.
I've only ever flown economy with Singapore and it was almost as fabulous. Great staff - so polite and friendly - good food, very clean and civilised. Totally a beautiful ride.
How does this guy not have a million subscribers? Top notch reviews with sardonic humor thrown in to boot. Its good to see at least some people recognize his talent
Hey Noel I know this ain’t really related to the video but I just want to say thank you ever since my first flight when I was 12 I’ve be scared of flying until a few month ago when I started watching your video it’s shown me how flying doesn’t have to be scary it’s actually fun and now I look forward to my next flights so I’m saying thank you for helping me overcome my fear
I'm in a similar boat, or rather plane here I've been on a couple dozen or so flights when I was younger, but I've grown more anxious since then and I've also had 2 cars crash into me (at their fault), I don't like leaving the house so much anymore. I'm supposed to fly internationally for the first time to Italy next year and the anxiety even this far out was keeping me awake at night. Started watching these videos and my mind is much more at peace. Thanks!
A credenza is a dining room sideboard, particularly one where a central cupboard is flanked by glass display cabinets, and usually made of burnished and polished wood and decorated with marquetry. The top would often be made of marble, or another decorative liquid- and heat-resistant stone.
I’ve only ever flown economy with Singapore and even that was such a treat! Beautiful and kind staff, excellent food and generally a wonderful long-haul flight experience.
I have never flown first on SQ but I have flown business class with them a few times, and it is much better than Emirates business class. With the 1-2-1 configuration instead of EK's 2-3-2, and the ' book the cook' option for meals. Singapore Airlines rightfully deserves to win Skytrax ' Airline of the Year'.
Flew Singapore from Houston to Heathrow in economy with the Family. Quite comfy & entertainment on screens for the kids was fantastic as it was for us adults. Best flight attendants I’ve ever had the privilege too fly with. Puts a lot of other premium airlines to shame. One day I’ll fly business in my lifetime.
I love how pleasant you are with the staff, and this video in particular was quite informative and entertaining at the same time. This will help prepare me for my trip to Las Vegas at the beginning of August this year! Watching these kinds of videos on youtube is quite calming to me because I can visually see what you have to go through and deal with when flying! Your area where you were sitting was absolutely fantastic. The service seemed quite amazing and I love how friendly and helpful the staff were with you during that flight! Thank you for what you do and continue to educate and inform on your Loo Reviews! LOL! By the way that particular Loo, as you call it, was quite freaking fantastic!

Cheer-up Noel! I’ve seen lots reviews of amazing airline seats and not once has anyone seemed so “meh” as you were about Singapore’s First Class suites. For 99.9% of people this would be a dream come true!
If you pay for, let's say, a luxury car, that's what you expect to get. 99.9% of people can't afford a luxury car, but if they did, they'd expect it to be up to absolute standards on par with what they paid for. Or they'd just be "meh". Get it?
I'll probably never fly First Class again. But that's okay 😊 When I was a wee spud, we *only* ever flew First Class - more times than I can recall - because my dad had high seniority with United Airlines. This was back in the glory days of travel (when people actually dressed up to fly). I remember when the 747s had lounges up in the hump (my faborite place to hang out while flying to HNL!). Many, many fond memories! Definitely not the same world now - but I love re-living my First Class dreams with your trip reports. Thank you!
Is that you Austin Powers? Is this me? Turbulence oh no turbulence! Seriously why don’t it have a rotating king sized bed and a supermodel in the room next door?
I love Singapore airlines, never done first clsss but their business class on the A380 is wonderful. I couldnt do caviar. Watched Kara and Nate and they had it as a double room.
I've flown back and forth to the UK from Australia with various airlines, seven times not including the flight it took to get me here when I emigrated from England. Each time it's been in economy. You can only imagine how I feel looking at that 1st class cabin.
This was an extrordinary way to fly!!! I can't imagine being able to fly like this. I think if I was taking a flight of more than 10 hrs, it might be a real treat to spend the extra money to be able to actually have a bed on which to sleep! That loo was unbelievable as well especially when you think about what the lower class loos look like. I am a very petite lady & they are cramped for me. I can't imagine with your height even trying to fit into one of those tiny loos. Looking forward to your next adventure!
Great video. Emirates and Singapore are both great carriers. Not tried Singapore, but lucky enough to score an upgrade to Emirates First in the "old" 777. Brilliant so far as I am concerned ; no shower, but higher doors than the A380. Difficult to criticise anything when lucky enough to try thee things. As always on all flights, the cabin crew make or break it.
The Emirate’s first class experience on the 777 is superb. Personally, I prefer the privacy and space in comparison to the A380 suite experience. However, the ability to enjoy a decent shower mid-flight is pretty awesome.
Hey Noel, the A380 has two avionics bays, one above and one below the cockpit. The door you mentioned seeing in the lavatory leads to the upper avionics bay.
Hello Noel. Enjoy your videos. For me, Singapore Airlines are far away the best. To have your own bed is beyond especially if you are on a very long flight. The suite was so roomy.... more than the other flights you mentioned.
I've flown the first version of the Singapore A380 First Class Suites and this is so much better. The area is larger and much more upper class. The original looked very "stage coach". And what I love about Singapore First Class Suites is the only people there are the ones who paid to be there - other airlines will upgrade their platinum rewards customers to the next available class (when the seats are free) but not Singapore. Which makes the First Class Suites so much more exclusive. In the first gen there were about 12 suites but I understand there are only 8 suite in the second gen - giving the suites more space.
Hi Noel! Great video, thanks! The random door that you saw in the lavatory of both SQ and QR A380 is the access door to the avionics of the aircraft, which is why it will always be closed and is accessible only to engineers ;)
I personally like Singapore once more. You have so much space and could for example eat without put your bed away. I noticed you never tried Air Europas long haul buissnes class in the 787, could you pls try this one in future? I like your videos :)
I think I’d rather have a separate bed so this suite wins hands down, would be an absolute dream on a long flight. Looks a brilliant space to stretch out and chill!
GREAT video Noel! Thanks to you I know what "real" first class is! Next time I fly domestic in coach, I'll always think about those flying "hotel suites" you've shown me in past vids. Thanks for keeping them coming !!😅😅👍👍👍👍
A simple cheese burger is not really my idea of First class food, but each to their own. 😆😆 I would probably have asked for the most expensive dish on the menu and wine.
Same, or at least something interesting with flavour. I'm not a burger fan though, probably have one every 5 years or so and only if it's the only thing available. And they have to have salad in to distract from the boring meat and bread.
The best First class is not just about onboard. You have to include the whole experience from airport arrival to departure. The onboard looks amazing but on the ground seemed no better than standard business class! AF LaPremier has a dedicated lounge at CDG only for LaPremier and a totally separate check in area plus guide through the airport. They drive you direct to the plane for a personal boarding plus pick you up on arrival and walk you through security etc. If you arrive on a connecting flight for LaPremier they also pick you up at the plane and drive you to the lounge which has it’s own security screening for this type of situation. Onboard space is not as big but overall I would say LaPremier is a good candidate for the best. Please give it a try and see what you think?
Although I just flew economy class with Singapore airlines back in 2005 from India to Singapore it was a great flight, the airline crew were very hospitable, very helpful , food was great so i can only imagine flying other classes on this airline must be a dream! Noel, I flew JFK->SIN->HKT and the cabin crew was incredible. The most pleasant and professional cabin crew ever! Unlike American cabin crew, SQ actually seems to care about passengers BUT the #1 way to determine your cabin crew is notice how CLEAN the restrooms are during flight. American cabin crews won’t clean them! Singapore has the cleanest “Loo’s” in the sky! BTW - Showers are a MUST!
Noel, just discovered your channel and enjoying the content. Love to see a Best and Worst series of videos where you speak on airports, flight crews, inflight food, duty free shops, etc.
Another terrific video. Singapore Airlines 1st class is undoubtedly impressive but personally I'm not fussed about a rotating seat (seems a bit of a gimmick) and so long as there is a matress I'd prefer sleeping in the seat - can easily switch from sleeping to TV viewing. The FAs seem wonderful (as you'd expect). Pity the food wasn't top notch. Price seems par for the course for 1st class - an indulgence (maybe) but that's what being a vlogger is all about - bringing us lots of different content!
Hey Noel, i think you should try Etihad the Residence if you get chance to as they are reactivating their a380s from July on the auh-lhr route. Even though this is not " first class " it would be an interesting to see a review on this.
Yes. I would agree. Launch date is July 22 operating EY11 and EY12. I wonder whether or not EY will be offering the Residence though on its reactivated A380s ?
Thanks for another entertaining, informative video of what we all love doing! For the time being, I reserve my best\favorite 1st class experience was with Air France La Premiere class. Ground service, security, passport, onboard service were top notch! I have heard from many friends I need to try Singapore Air and that is definitely one of the next two flights I will try.
Love the video. This is the second video I saw about Singapore Airlines Suites. The first one was a couple who reserved both suites and it is similar to yours without the partition which is next to the bed. The beds are kept next to each other and when they are out, it looks like a full-size bed. My wife and I will be flying to Australia on Singapore Airlines but it's not on a A380. It will be on a A350 and we're on a Premium Economy.
It is a shame they grounded Etihad's A380 as I really liked their apartment. The armchair was comfortable and I loved the 6'10" bed being 6'6". For me I am currently an Emirates first fan. While I prefer the Singapore Suite, i prefer the food and particularly the wines on Emirates and I am a sucker for a shower to freshen up. I also prefer a bed to be parallel to the fuselage as I find it easier to cope with changes to the flight level. One time in Etihad when we were climbing i felt like they were trying to roll me out of my bed. Reality is that if you fly in any of them, you are going to have a great flight, so to compare one over the other is really taking the piss.
Great video Noel! The Singapore 🇸🇬 Suites on the Airbus A380 looks absolutely STUNNING and I cannot wait to fly it someday. However Emirates STUNNING First Class PRIVATE Room on their B777-300ER or even the Emirates A380 First Class with the Shower (even though it’s not an inclosed space like the 777) or Air France La Première First Class on their B777-300 still beat Singapore Suites on the A380 by quite a lot and they seem more worth the price for value or better for what you get than Singapore. Still it looks absolutely incredible! 😂🤯 Cheers 🥂 Excellent work and video mate! 😊
Plenty leg room! You need to buy one of those chairs. The sheer joy of moving it was yours for all to see! You asked for suggestions, I suggest trying TWA 747's.
I'd prefer the full private rooms. HOWEVER, speaking as a retired flight attendant, I feel that the Singapore Airlines suits are safer, because in the event of an emergency, flight attendants can still rescue you if the door is jammed. We're required to be able to lift our own weight. If we have a crash landing, your door is jammed, and you're injured, we should be able to climb over.
do you know what i love about all your videos .......is your just a normal bloke who makes great videos .... nothing fancy like the rest of them ( getting the right lighting 3/4 cameras etc etc etc )
@noelphillips! First of all great vlogger and videos. I would say having flown business class on emirates a380 , and business on Singapore airlines, the best by far is Singapore… their service and high levels of customer satisfaction are second to none… I too wish I could fly to Singapore on first class… the only gripe with Singapore is I wish they would add a route from lhr to dxb…
Noel Philips and Nonstop Dan are the only 2 celebs I'd like to bump into at an airport! All other celebs - I won't even keep the door open for you (well, I would because I keep the door open for everyone) Love the joke about 'can we make the trip longer and go around a little bit?' ! That would be my thinking too (but then I'm poor, so poor in fact that I ride the subway from one end to the next a few times as 'my traveling adventure' = 1 ticket for an hour of travel and people watching!😹) Greetings from Istanbul!
That was just spectacular and by far the biggest luxury cabin you have ever reviewed. Well, for a guy who is taking all those miserable crowded flights you certainly deserve some luxury as well!
I'd be impressed because I've only flew Premium Economy in Virgin Atlantic And JAL. I've also flew Business class from United from SYD to LAX. The food was horrible
So happy for you Noel looks like you had a great flight. You’ve come a long way since your 1st BA 767 flight in 92’ BTW that’s the year I became a flight attendant on the 747 classic now I feel old. My 1st flight was on an AA 747-100 in 72’ with the piano bar in E Zone. Now I feel REALLY old 😂 Keep going waiting for your 2K loo review ✈️
Ey Up! Another great review and another example of being able to take the boy out of Mansfield but not ... etc: "... Saves you having to get off your arse and move it yourself .... " LOL - love it!! Loved the review of the suite itself and it certainly looks to be "up there" as you said, Noel, but in my mind *true* First Class does not begin and end at the seat. Just a few areas where this review highlights why SIA could not be classed the *BEST* First Class because it falls down compared with other carriers: 1. I'm pretty sure that was an Uber from the Hotel to the AIrport and NOT an airline provided limousine. 2. No escort from check-in to the Lounge, nor from the Lounge to the aircraft or aircraft through immigration 3. A truly underwhelming amenity kit Unfortunately, if the menus were shown I missed them so I don't think we can compare the full extent of offerings (really Noel, a Sling over Krug ?!?) so we do miss the opportunity to really know the full extent of the Singapore offering. How were the crew compared to other carriers? Were they engaging or did they pretty much just perform their functions (as I've found SIA to be in other cabins - and SIN-based crew on other carriers)? Were you offered dine-on demand - I guess so as you had the bed made up first - did they fully explain the meal and wine options, how were these elements of service compared with other carriers? Happy Landings and keep these coming!!
If you did a bunch of short hops probably quite a few.... your limitations would be which airlines fly which routes between which cites to cross over the Atlantic and Pacific oceans... That is something someone needs to do some research and figure out I'm curious now... lol
It looked wonderful! I giggle watching your goofy childlike wonder at some of those amazing amenities in the suite because I'd be the same way, lol. It is hard to compare to Emerates because the differences are personal choices in what one likes or values as luxury. And I sadly agree about Amy Winehouse, such talent but her heartache seemed too much for her to overcome. But she did leave us some amazing music. Great video, I really enjoyed it!
What an amazing flight. The best thing to me seems the space. You can stand up without bothering anyone and even do a little dance. Crazy. Thanks for taking me along. I will never experience this myself. For that price i can do an entire 3, 4 week trip thru the US with a rental. Man it's expensive. Almost a dollar for every mile. 😅
It's nice to hear your height so I can now feel comfortable judging your opinion on the comfort of all the airline seats you sit in. As someone who is 6'2, I know there are some airlines where you can't sit in economy because your knees end up jamming into the seat in front of you. Also, when I saw that bathroom, my mind imagined the things that might have happened with adventurous couples. Finally, a bathroom large enough to comfortably join the mile high club.
Hahaha, I loved that very British, meaning the polite little side elbow into the ribs of the airline you didn't exactly have the best experience with The very same airline - Air India - that of course, just months later (in this video) took off right in front of you as you were sitting in a very comfy chair, eating very good food - that was brought to you, as you waited in the 1st class lounge to board 1st class of the #1 Airline in the world. You couldn't have gotten a more perfect non-planned comparison to the Air India video. Which I had to watch again after this, and it is really perfect. That loo though, which is for real not a loo at all, is it. It's a bathroom... on a plane.. that is bigger than my own bathroom. Which ofc it gotta be. I mean, the best airline in the world gotta have the best mile high club bathroom in the world too, right? Great video again Noel!
On long haul flights I totally would prefer the separate bed. It is just priceless to have both at the same time, enabling you to leave you bed as it is while you can sit down for something to eat or watch a movie or do some work.
Hi @Noel, cheers from Toronto! Another grest video! 👍🏻 A small note: I think you forgot to add the link to the Emirates video. Not a big deal, can easily be found, I'm just pointing it out because you mentioned it in the video. Safe travels! 🖐🏻😊
From JFK to STR where I normally fly Delta business class for $1400-1700, wasn't a bad deal when I looked it up at just over $16,000... So I'm glad you get to enjoy! New goals in life!
So cool, man! What an amazing airline. I've flown them a few times (back when they had a stop in AMS from JFK) in economy and even that was super chill. It was one of their 747s. Thanks for another great video. Cheers.

Welcome aboard!
You had to get an Uber to the Airport? Pickup is not included in first class? How can it be the best then?
only im singapore they offe chaffeur
4:34 Nothing makes time pass better at an airport than a nice lounge with good food and drink.
I think that 7h is not enough to experience the full experience🤷🏽♂️ great video
Just flown Man to Syd premium and it was great. Although looking forward to Business on flight home from NZ
That's how I want to fly on every flight!!! I love all the wee extras you get like pj's & toiletries.
Reality is that if you fly in any of them, you are going to have a great flight, so to compare one over the other is really taking the piss.
lovely flight, SIA always delivers
What is the issue with not having a fully private room though? what do you intend to get up to on an 8hr flight?
Many would be chugging the sausage .
@anthonydowling3356 well maybe you
@@anthonydowling3356or hiding it.
Finally. I've been waiting to see you on the A380. Didn't disappoint. I don't think any Airlines out of Vancouver fly this aircraft. Nice job 💯
😂🤯 Cheers 🥂
Excellent work and video mate! 😊
Haha, the way you are giggling when you first sit down is so cute. I would be giddy too 😊
Probably the first customer they've ever had that offered to make their own bed
Plenty leg room! You need to buy one of those chairs. The sheer joy of moving it was yours for all to see! You asked for suggestions, I suggest trying TWA 747's.
Fun fact, even pax arriving on private flights have to go to the main terminal to clear customs
5 words you never want Noel to say to you “Come to bed with me!” 😂 17:24
do you know what i love about all your videos .......is your just a normal bloke who makes great videos .... nothing fancy like the rest of them ( getting the right lighting 3/4 cameras etc etc etc )
Thank you for your kind words.
Wow! To have Noel and Kara & Nate review the same seat in the same week, that's rare and amazing!
Kara&Nate's video kicked this grumpy nag so hard straight to an Unsubscibion... (Unsubscribe+oblivion)
@@SkyLineR34GT-Rit’s called being British
There's 4 I'd want to meet. Jeb, Noel, Paul Lucas and Paul Stewart
20:20 The SNL reference awesome!!!
Those "things" you get with the caviar are called Blinis!😊
Probably the only first class passenger who didn't know what they were. Sorry Noel.
That was just spectacular and by far the biggest luxury cabin you have ever reviewed. Well, for a guy who is taking all those miserable crowded flights you certainly deserve some luxury as well!
Flew Doha to Bangkok on a very lucky free upgrade to first class with Qatar yesterday. I was quite underwhelmed with it. Think I preferred the q suite
I'd be impressed because I've only flew Premium Economy in Virgin Atlantic And JAL. I've also flew Business class from United from SYD to LAX. The food was horrible
I loved the separate recliner chair and bed. Hope to enjoy a Singapore first-class flight.
Kara and Nate just dropped exact same First Class Video....damn Noel...you are late.
When I got the chance to fly on the China plane I had to rearrange my release schedule or this would have come out last week. lol
Tucker Gott would be proud to see you wearing his merch! Great video as always.
Can someone tell Noel that we don’t need him to tell us what plane and airline he’s flying on whenever he starts a take? 🤣
That air India comment 😂
Wow, that flight and seat looks amazing. Thanks for sharing Noel.
Glad you enjoyed it!
And he orders caviar followed by a cheeseburger!!! Really!! Seriously?
Just a few areas where this review highlights why SIA could not be classed the *BEST* First Class because it falls down compared with other carriers:
1. I'm pretty sure that was an Uber from the Hotel to the AIrport and NOT an airline provided limousine.
2. No escort from check-in to the Lounge, nor from the Lounge to the aircraft or aircraft through immigration
3. A truly underwhelming amenity kit
Unfortunately, if the menus were shown I missed them so I don't think we can compare the full extent of offerings (really Noel, a Sling over Krug ?!?) so we do miss the opportunity to really know the full extent of the Singapore offering.
How many times could you travel around the world if you were not allowed to land in a city more than once?
This is a lot more tastefully decorated, Emirates decoration is so gaudy looking.
Thanks for this helpful video. If I ever decide to go first class I’ll remember what you said in this video.
Singapore Airline is racking up free first class flights to youtubers LOL
Noel pays for his flights. He can be objective that way.
I have flown on a Singapore airlines A380 twice in business class. It was a very nice experience. It still had a tour of the seat.
Someone recommended the caviar, eh? Did his name start with Trek and end with Trendy? 😂 Love your work, Noel!
Hahaha, I loved that very British, meaning the polite little side elbow into the ribs of the airline you didn't exactly have the best experience with
The very same airline - Air India - that of course, just months later (in this video) took off right in front of you as you were sitting in a very comfy chair, eating very good food - that was brought to you, as you waited in the 1st class lounge to board 1st class of the #1 Airline in the world.
Seeing you say "I can has cheeseburger?" while in a Singapore suite is the funniest thing I've seen all week 😂
i am amazed, it a living room in the sky, Singapore has really out done themselves. amazing suite
People talk about the 'good old days of flying' but I think that these First Class seats are miles ahead of what was there 20 or 30 years ago.
From JFK to STR where I normally fly Delta business class for $1400-1700, wasn't a bad deal when I looked it up at just over $16,000... So I'm glad you get to enjoy! New goals in life!
Really insane!!!! Singapore has really out done themselves. Amazing suite. Awesome video. Love your work
Really hope I can meet you one day.👍
So cool, man! What an amazing airline. I've flown them a few times (back when they had a stop in AMS from JFK) in economy and even that was super chill. It was one of their 747s. Thanks for another great video. Cheers.
Thanks a lot!
