Having only done 9 flights over 20 years, flying for me is an absolute privilege. But it is such an amazing accomplishment to see you doing your 1,000th. Here's to another 1,000 flights from you!
yea ive probably had about the same amount of flight and its crazy to me how excited he still gets to fly, wheras i would find it pretty mundane and would just want it to be over lmao
I wouldn't remember how many times I've flown, that's a bit like knowing how many times you've tied your shoe lace, it's something you do without necessarily counting
Overall one of the BEST videos in ANY genre I've watched on TH-cam. This is a big event and you could see it on your face and hear it in your voice. Made me feel a little bit of your joy and emotions. Congrats and here's to a thousand and MORE flights for you. Bless you and your family.
Amazing that you were able to track all 1,000 flights that you've done. Even more amazing that Flight 1,000 departed from the same exact terminal as Flight 1. What an achievement for you
Congrats on the achievement, Noel. You celebrated it right properly. You have me thinking how many flights I've made since my first flight in 1960 - PIT-CLE. I'm not at 1000, but well over seven hundred for sure. The TWA Hotel is on my bucket list. Cheers for the preview of the hotel!
Also my 1e flight was in 1979 from Amsterdam to Gran Canaria. Martin Air DC 10. It diverted to Tenerife not long after the KLM 747 and Pan Am 747. Still seen some wreckage left. Scary to see. Will never forget that.
I've flown nearly 500 times in about 30 years - so very similar to you. My first flight was VA to LA - I remember it vividly. Oh, you've flown ONE THOUSAND times...I must have missed that :) Seriously though, I love your reviews - you're charismatic, honest, informative and humorous. I also love how you "accept" the strange things and inconveniences that you encounter around the world. Congratulations again and look forward to seeing what you do for your 2000th flight!
Congrats on 1,000 flights! I’ve had a 10 year head start on you and I’m only approaching 500 flights - and I still fly more than most people I know! (My first was on a BA BAC 1-11 from MAN-LHR.) Love the symmetry of using LHR for the major milestones…well done!
@@RoadCone411 True, 1 person isn't going to make a difference, but if enough people decided not to fly then there would be less flights and routes. But saying that, choosing not to fly and take another form of transport with a smaller carbon foot print only works for short flights. No way of travelling intercontinal without a flight and i can't see that changing anytime soon. Flying is here to stay, i don't know why aviation gets such a bad name, plenty of other industries pollute more. Flying has come on leaps and bounds compared to shipping trucks etc
Noel, Congratulations on your 1000th flight ! What a cool milestone !! Keeping a log and consistently maintaining it over the years reiterates your enthusiasm for aviation. Best wishes for another million more at least.
You have the same love of flying as you did on your first flight. I can't imagine 1000 flights. You couldn't stop grinning from ear to ear. Thank you for letting me be part of your celebration. Safe travels.
On your 1000th flight, one of the special highlights apart from being one of the last passengers to fly a US International First Class service before it's gone is that, you got to visit your old home country of the UK briefly! If you have missed that, doesn't that give you memories of your old home country Noel?
TWA was my favorite airline when I was in the US Army some 45 years ago. All flights went through the hub at St. Louis. I loved it. They had such a warm crew.
Congrats on your 1000th flight, Noel! Wishing you 1000+ more flights. Thanks for all your hard-work in bringing these videos to all of us! I appreciate it!
Just some information - The TWA hotel is the world famous Finnish architect Eero Saarinen designed TWA terminal. He also designed Dulles Airport in Washington and the Arch in St. Louis. I flew from this terminal when it was a terminal to Egypt.
I am so peeved I did not count my flights!! I have been to 65 countries. My first flight was on a Boeing 707 to Los Angeles 60 years ago - 1962. I was 12. The Jet Age was only 5 years old!!!! Love your videos!
I am right there with you. Having flown regularly for 50 years, with more than 200 flights per year, during the best/worst years. The effect is selfdeveloped Pavlov's dog syndrome. Whenever I take my seat and hear the engines humming, I fall asleep. ✈️😴
I’m an airline pilot and got stuck in JFK a month or so ago. Company didn’t have rooms in our normal JFK hotel, so they put us up in the TWA hotel! Very cool place, rooms were really small though. And the rotary phone (it works) was a nice touch.
Congratulations Noel, on your 1000 th flight. It's certainly, always a joy to watch you travel to these amazing destinations, giving your heartfelt an honest opinion, even in the most difficult of circumstances. Cheers mate!
I used the TWA terminal so many times back in the day. I always loved it. Brilliant architecture by Saarinen. Looks just as good now as it did back then.
Congrats on 1000 flights Noel! What a great experience it must have been, here's to a 1000 more! Thank you very much for your hours of entertainment and information!
Congratulations on completing 1000 flights, Noel Philips! Your passion, hard work, and dedication have made you an inspiration to many in the aviation community. Keep soaring high and inspiring others to follow their dreams. Well done!
@@noelphilipsmany congratulations and thanks for taking us along on so many interesting trips. How about a video of top tips and lessons learned from your 1000 trips? Any tips on getting affordable lounge access or upgrades for us on economy budgets would be great.

Congratulations, amazing achievement. Reminds me of my first flight from the same building. Pam Am, New York, November 1987. Even in economy at a young age it was all first class to me. Happy memories.
Congratulations in the 1000th flight you had here!!!! You made me laugh when you found out you can move your seat there in over to the small desk to do some work. That small desk is for all the computer laptop people and for us paper files people. So nice!!! So, you are staying in the TWA Hotel at JFK. So nice being there and you saw the old flight departure/arrival screen with a listing of an old airline Braniff!!! That brings back a lot of memories for me!!! I lived in New York back in the early 1970s and I would see Braniff, Eastern Airlines, and TWA all the time. Great airlines with great people working for them. Yes, you had an old rotary phone in your room!! Very nice!!! My parents who still live in New York kept their rotary phones and replaced them with the old touch button phones. I kept my old rotary as well. I come from the 1960s so, those memories are still there for me.
Well done Noel on 1000th flight. I have taken a stock take of my own flights which current is at 1600 and 200 plus of these were in the 747. Keep making the videos and stay happy and blessed.
Congratulations on your 1000th flight Noel! Definitely an emotional video for you and all of your followers! Cheers to the next 1000! All the best - Chris (a Canadian) living in your first flight location Moscow.
Congrats on your 1000th flight! I'm nowhere near that. I haven't counted mine but I figure I'm somewhere between 50-100 flights. I remember my first flight, when I was just a little kid, on a Trans Canada Airlines Vickers Viscount on a sightseeing flight from Toronto to Niagara Falls and back. My longest flight was a 10 hour flight from Honolulu to Toronto on a B747-200 with Wardair Canada (where I worked from 1980-1990).
This prompted me to spend the last hour doing a count of my own total numbers 😅. My first flight was as a baby onboard a very early days Ryanair ATR 42-300 from Luton to Waterford in 1990. Since then I've managed 165 flights across 26 airlines (37 of those in business on 9 airlines), these days averaging around 8 flights a year. Still have to tick true First class off the bucket list with some FF miles at some point.
Love the TWA stuff. Been thru there many times. BTW, my first flight was on a TWA Baby Connie, London to New York via Shannon and Gander in 1958. Cheers and thanx for the memories!
Noel congrats on your one thousand flight and taking it in style don’t blame you, I would definitely be as chuffed as you, keep the great videos coming I always look forward to you next adventure. I’ve only just started my bucket list as I must admit I was a bit nervous about flying. Now I look forward to my next flight and watching your videos has giving me the flying itch. Loved the fact that American Airlines lounge staff made sure you got into a first class lounge, I was very impressed that they said no your can use BA’s first class and someone escorted you around brilliant. Omg what a fantastic price $2400 for your round trip and staying at the TWA hotel that certainly puts the icing on the cake 🎂. Can wait for your next adventure. TWA hotel is on my bucket list, my first flight was a navy charter flight and flew from Gib to Uk on TWA. Keep the fantastic videos coming Noel 👍🏴
Congrats on your 1000th flight! I do not know if I have more or less. This summer I have done the same since 1978. Mr. Janne Carlzon CEO of SAS/SK said when he got rid of first class on SAS. The only ones sitting in First are co workers of the crew onboard. This is most exclusive mess hall in the world. That is why this product has to go. Keep up the good work. Be safe!
Congrats on 1000 flights, how many countries have you been to now? I remember way back you were up to 700 so we must have been along with you on hundreds of flights now too, everyone a joy to watch. I’m closing in on my 50th flight so a long way to go but everyone has given me amazing views and new adventures. Raising a glass to aviation 🍸
Congratulations on 1000 flights. I enjoy your videos much more due to your commitment to showing the economy classes across the world, it’s really interesting to see - so you’ve very much deserved a first class treat!
Yeah the BA lounge at T3 did the exact same thing to me with my AA FF ticket, except the AA lounge at that time was completely closed, so I ended up at Cathay (which by the way is better).
Congrats on your 1000th fight, and especially on doing it in style! I traveled for business (based out of the USA) from 1980-2017 (retirement). I flew a LOT but never tracked the number of flights. I would LOVE to know! It's awesome that you tracked yours and could celebrate appropriately.
Congrats on your 1000th flight Noel! I only wish I had made a log of all of my flights. My dad worked for an airline for over 50 years so I don't even have a record of my first flight.

congrats Noel, for flight 1k! U alway love travelling with you, just one little hint for the TWA hotel: one can book rooms with a runway view, that is, for aviation geeks, even more brilliant...
Congratulations on your 1000th flight! Great achievement! Long time follower here. For those of us, who do a little bit (less) flying themselves, it would be interesting to hear, how you find these flights and e.g. how you manage split up the flight legs.
I think Noel mentioned his 1000th flight about 1000 times! 😂 As for Flagship First, I think it's slightly underwhelming by the look of it. Now, the TWA hotel does look good.

A massive congratulations on your 1000th flight Noel! 🥂 Aviation is the main connection to my late father, he was an engineer for BA so I learned everything I know from him. Now I’m learning from you, and I can’t wait to start my journey around the world 🙏🏼 Thank you for all your amazing content ✈️
I'm working on the redevelopment of JFK Terminals 6 & 7 and stay at the TWA Hotel every month. It's a fantastic hotel, but you need to have a room facing the front (apron) rather than the traffic, or you won't get much sleep.
Happy 1000th Noel! Your excitement and energy was so infectious, I've been sitting on the edge of my seat intently watching. Your content is so loved and your personality is so enlightening. Thank you for taking us along with you on a very special flight!
Congrats on 1000 Noel, another great trip. Was very cool seeing the TWA hotel too.. very retro and amazing looking. Cozy room too. But yes, as you said, here's to 1000 more! :)
Congrats on your 1000th flight! Also, I do like the fact that I now know why the American's have a phrase like 'You don't know sh*t from Shinola!' lol 🤣 I never know what Shinola was 😆
I flew out of the TWA terminal at JFK back in the early 90's on a TWA 747 to FCO. It was almost as old as the flight attendants on the flight. A concorde was parked at the next gate over. Such a contrast of aircraft. Great memories.
Congratulations on your 1000 flight. What a flight you looked very emotional before you boarded. Food looked fabulous, and glad you enjoyed your flight.
Congrats to 1000 we all live through your vlogs. Most of us will never see as many of the countries you share on weekly vlogs. Thanks so much and cheers to another 1000
Congratulations on coming to the US of A as your home base. My virgin flight was on a B.O.A.C out of Dulles to Heathrow boy was Heathrow huge. I was truly amazed .
Congrats on the 1000th flight! You just earned a new subscriber. Your humor is infectious and I enjoy your positive attitude! May I ask, how did you get that first class flight for so cheap?
Congratulations on 1,000 flights. Fantastic! That's almost 10 times my tally to date. :) We had such a laugh at your comment that the inspection stopped "...just short of latex glove level". Oh dear. Haha. We do enjoy your videos, Noel, and look forward to each new episode on the channel.

The American staff were not having yet extremely professional.
Ok
I’m shocked Noel didn’t try far and away the best lounge option available: Cathay Pacific First Lounge!
@@devanthakur1162 I wonder if it was a nod back to flight number 1 that Noel did - which was a BA flight of course.

Thank you for your kind words!
Wow, Congratulations on your 1000th flight!! So cool!! Here's to 1000+ more flights! Thank you for sharing your adventures with us!! Cheers!! 🎉🍾🥂🍻🌞
Congrats! What site do you use to track your flights?
Did you find out?
Congrats on 1000 Noel, another great trip. Was very cool seeing the TWA hotel too.. very retro and amazing looking. Cozy room too. But yes, as you said, here's to 1000 more! :)
Noel, what was the flight tracking utility you showed at the beginning?
It kinda looks like Grafana? It’s a tool software and ops engineers use to keep track of applications, servers, etc. It might be a custom program?
Congrats on your 1000th flight! Also, I do like the fact that I now know why the American's have a phrase like 'You don't know sh*t from Shinola!' lol 🤣 I never know what Shinola was 😆
that guy at BA lounge is tragic
I took my first flight in 1958 from New Orleans to Panama.
What was the website at 0:48?
Log my flight maybe ?
I flew out of the TWA terminal at JFK back in the early 90's on a TWA 747 to FCO. It was almost as old as the flight attendants on the flight. A concorde was parked at the next gate over. Such a contrast of aircraft. Great memories.
Well done for reaching 1,000 flights, Noel! 🎉
Congratulations on your 1000 flight. What a flight you looked very emotional before you boarded. Food looked fabulous, and glad you enjoyed your flight.

May I ask, how did you get that first class flight for so cheap?
4:59 “Thank you very much, sorry for being an asshole”… that had me laughing pretty good 😂
Congratulations on 1,000 flights. Fantastic! That's almost 10 times my tally to date. :) We had such a laugh at your comment that the inspection stopped "...just short of latex glove level". Oh dear. Haha. We do enjoy your videos, Noel, and look forward to each new episode on the channel.
