Never seen it done from a starboard side pattern though - never seen trainers train behind a ship's wake - but it’s possible and players will have fun calling in and off...as you and BD did in the R1 extra hop.
Thanks kindly Kevin! The starboard pattern was a result of the air start location when getting footage for the video! I wasn't doing full patterns. Certainly will be looking to re-run the patterns from the bonus R1 mission with a few friends trying out the T-45 later. :)
Awesome review! Had a blast flying and filming it before public release so this video has really made me want to test it out again! Thanks again for the quality of the videos and keep it up!

4:34 DCS is laking a solid Carrier based trainer. For land based there are some good around (L-39 and C-101) Which are not as modern as a Goshawk for sure though.
Yeah true enough, but being free the T-45 makes it so much easier to introduce a new player, I feel dcs could really do with a core free trainer aircraft like the T-45 or even a T-2 buckeye to ease the learning cliff a bit!
@@RedKiteRender Moot point now that we have the T-45, but IMHO, Eagle Dynamics should make the L-39 the free plane with the base free game. Ideally, it'd be the C-101 as that's Western, but it's 3rd party so it'd be expensive to buy the rights from AvioDev.

This question can be asked of pretty much any user created mod for every game out there but in DCS's case, the specific reason is that a mod isn't really developed even nearly to the same standard as a official first or third party DCS module. I don't really say this as a value judgment against mods but more as a statement of fact that even some popular mod makers have tried to make very, very clear to those in the community who ask the very same question you just did.
