    Bob, The only thing from your comprehensive list that I would add, would be a Bulldog Wheelclamp to give a visual security deterrent from the outside when you leave your Motorhome either on site or when parked up anywhere. Otherwise a great list with many items that I may consider ?

    Hi Bob
    Regarding your Milenco mirror protectors can you tell me if they have a cut out for the temperature sensor on bottom of mirror

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glenn McDiarmid Yes they do. Thanks for your question. I had to go and look. This answers a question of mine - which mirror the temperature sensor is in. It's in the drivers side. There is a little nipple underneath and the mirror protector has a hole that goes around it. My temperature sensor thinks it 40+ Celsius out there. It definitely isn't!

    • @gmcdiarmid
      @gmcdiarmid 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hopefully a simple fix as 40 Fahrenheit is 4 Celsius so if you change the units on the display all should be good.
      That’s good they have a hole for the cover as when I looked at the sensor I thought it could be easily broken if you did not realise where it is located.

    • @gmcdiarmid
      @gmcdiarmid 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Bob I watched your Ducato dashboard video which was great as never new about the separate oil service menu, when watching the video I could see that your temperature is set to degrees Fahrenheit and not Celsius

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glenn McDiarmid yes I know, Ihave set it the Celsius now. Not that it makes any difference- it still says it's 44 degrees Celsius! Think it's a loose connection somewhere.

    Hi Bob any reason for choosing the Cadac Hi Pressure. Do you use it with BBQ point on side of van or with gas canisters?

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had a BBQ point on the old Motorhome, so that's why the high pressure one.

    • @jamesflynn8930
      @jamesflynn8930 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BobEarnshawMoHo I'm finding the difference between Lo & Hi very confusing. I thought the BBQ point on motorhome point would be Lo pressure ie after the regulator. Thanks for the reply and a great series of videos.

    Morning Bob, Jenny. Sorry to bother you. We have just bought a Cadac Safari Chef 2 gas bbq. It doesn't come supplied with the pipe and connections etc. Q do I need to fit a regulator with a connection fitting etc. I find it strange that they are allowed to sell without the pipe etc, You cant buy an electrical item without a flex and plug etc. Thanks Pete

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Goid question. If you are using it on a Motorhome external bbq socket, you don't need a regulator. If you intend using it with a stand alone calor gas cylinder, yes you do. You should find regulators and piping at any good calor stockist or motorhome dealer.

    • @peterwalker2173
      @peterwalker2173 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BobEarnshawMoHo Thanks Bob, Yes we have a Truma external Gas point, So basically pipe and a male fitting should get us ready for lunch.

    Came across this, something similar from Spanish type b&q suggested, so did a search in uk. It might need some adaption to fit with one of the collapsing kits, but if you need to go a long way with one piece of hose it seems quite cheap. Not tested, just saw it and thought it may be useful for someone .. www.manomano.co.uk/p/swimming-pool-hose-vacuum-eva-flex-pool-with-glued-sleeves-38mm-6m-809563

    Hi Bob. I have slays thr\ought that my Tassimo Vivvy would pop a fuse. Is this not the case and have you ever had this problem when abroad or does it just work even on 10 amp

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's never blown a trip when I've used it. It's around 1100w and draws around 4-5 amps. If the heating is on at the same time, there is an overload setting on the ALDE heating that will cut the supply to the heating. If I'm on a 10 amp supply, I turn the overload down to 10 amps and not had a problem. Probably would on a 5 amp site supply though! You will need a decent sized (2000w) inverter to run it off 12v supply safely hough and it would draw over 90 amps from the battery!

      On another topic. Have you ever had to fix the vertical blinds on the sides on your MH. The concertina type. I have now had three that have had to be re-strung on tightened but it’s a real pain taking it back to the dealers to get sorted.
