@@yumekoijapan5067 The video is great quality, the fact you speak the language makes it 100% better than anything else I have watched, I have a Shiro from Omosako but am confident its from the left bin not the right😆😆.
Hey Mike Another excellent video, thank you. I would love to see more videos on breeders conducting selections of different types of koi. Culling correctly seems to be the real key to breeding quality fish. I find that understanding the breeders criteria for which koi to keep is very useful. Cheers Dave

Another cracking video! great content interesting to see.
thanks for sharing mike
When he checks the koi for selection the breeder checks underneath of the koi why? what is he looking for?
Maybe to see if the sumi goes down to the lateral line? Dont know too.
To check for completeness and faults/deformities of the fins (anal/ventral).
What's with the red heads? Ochiba? Goromo?
Showa
Welcome.😆
nice
Is he saying the sumi clean up because the concrete pond is more alkali or harder?
💪

I bet about 80 of the culls are made into fish food
Doubt it. I am pretty sure they are sold as tosai to us poor saps in the US.
