    Love the videos Mike keep them coming I would love shiru utsuri I bring in my koi from a dealer in Northern Ireland I live in southern Ireland and have the paper work for inport would it be possible to get koi from you

    When he checks the koi for selection the breeder checks underneath of the koi why? what is he looking for?

      Maybe to see if the sumi goes down to the lateral line? Dont know too.

      To check for completeness and faults/deformities of the fins (anal/ventral).

    Another excellent video, thank you.
    I would love to see more videos on breeders conducting selections of different types of koi. Culling correctly seems to be the real key to breeding quality fish. I find that understanding the breeders criteria for which koi to keep is very useful.
