My current favourite koi channel along with koi talk. Keep up the quality work 👍 Only so many times you can watch a video of yet another pond with a window and slate tile finish (every other koi channel out there 🙄) when what you really want to see and learn about is the koi. And the magazine (koi talk) is awesome, look forward to that dropping every month

Thank you for the kind feedback and I’m glad that you’re enjoying the channels and magazine.

Great video Ricky. As their growing season is going to be in the winter months, how will you play it next spring/summer? Will you carry on with intensive growth (essentially, back to back growing seasons) or will you be conditioning them and giving them a break?

They will get a break for a short time as it’s needed.

How would they compare to an equivalent batch from Omosako? Because with shiro it will always boil down to that?

The quality is there if anything it’s the quality produced where the difference comes in. Far more top Nisai at Omosako but because they produce such a quantity of Tosai.

Sell them off cheaply or give them to my uncle who has a very large natural pond.

I am wondering what kind of parents and what size do okawa use?

I can’t remember what the base parents were as it was such a long time ago. It is very much the Okawa bloodline now using their own parents.
