In the video, there were four square nets holding the Koi to be selected through. The good ones were then moved to a separate holding net, in order to go back to the fry pond the following morning. The ones that were to be sold this season were put underneath the selection net, and then moved to an adjacent pond where they will reside until sold. And thank you for the compliment Nicholas, makes it all worthwhile.
new subs here sir mike..I only see you on sir yvo's video before...its nice that you have your own channel already...👍by the way nice covering on the selection....me myself love sanke and showa...
Mate brilliant again, like the fact it was all in japanese with the English subtitles. My head hurts looking at the koi being selected and trying to see the reasons why one is selected and one isn't..some I can see why then another I see I can't understand why lol.
Thanks for the compliment Phil. I'm torn between the subtitles, and doing the translation verbally while taking the videos, there being pros and cons. The good side of subtitles, is that it means there's more material content within the given movie length. The bad side though, is that sometimes when I come back to editing and doing the subtitles it's really hard to hear some of the conversation dialogue, so very hard and time consuming at the editing stage. Anyway, keep your eyes peeled on the channel, as I'm tying to up my game in terms of quality of content, editing, and actual video image quality. I'm learning, slowly...
@@yumekoijapan5067 think the reason why I like the subtitles is the conversation is continuous with no breaks in explanation so its flowing all the time . its different as all other videos have the japanese spoken and then a explanation of whats been said. Will hopefully make the podcast with you and chip today. Keep up the hard work mate its much appreciated mike.

Stunning again, can I ask you to explain all the different ponds they place the fish in while the breeder is sorting through the koi.
