Tips from a Libyan 🇱🇾 : 1. Use non stick pot. 2. Use ratio 1:1 for example one cup of water for one cup of flour. 3. Don’t put flour into water till the water boils. 4. When water boils, put flour so quickly and stir it . The thing makes it a hard working because it’s sticky to the pot and it’s not the right ratio.However, when you use a non sticky pot half of job is done . You have done great job 👏.

This is the third time I'm making this recipe of yours. I absolutely love it. It will actually be my dinner tonight. I know it's sweet but, what can I say? I'm home alone in my own house so... :p anyway, this dough is very similar to choux dough and it is the kind of dough my mother uses to make "rissóis", a usually savory stuffed pastie. Tradition from Portugal ;)
Akuma Kanji u can also have some soup with it instead of better and honey. In Tunisian, we usually have sweet Aseeda in the morning, but we normally have some vegetable or meat soup with it for lunch or dinner.
That was entertaining..i really admired your work. I am from Eritrea and we have similar dish. The only thing is that we use clarified spiced butter, chili/paprika powder(spiced) and greek yogurt or sour cream. 😊👍🏼
I just tried to make aseeda before i watched this video but it didnt work :( its not as easy as i thought, i was on the fone talkin to my sisters askin them how to make it but no great help... i never knew it was so hard to make... poor mum she always made it for us in no time .... am so proud of you Titli xxxx

As a Libyan from Benghazi (East side of Libya) I'd love to thank you for the Aseeda. Well done Ma'am. I usually put the honey in the groove plus sometimes I dip each bite in sugar. P.S: - West side of Libya has Bazeen " wheat instead of flour + potato sauce or soup + boiled eggs + a lot more steering" - Other Arabic countries have the same thing with salsa or broth.

I spent two years in Libya as a child. I remember our help gathered around a communal pot in the evening that looked a lot like this. I seem to recall they would swipe it with index and middle finger from the bowl. I never tried it but the Arab bread with the hard crust was delicious. We would break off the end and tunnel out the soft inside .
I tried this recipe back in 2012 I remember it like it was yesterday I used to make it with my little cousins 😍😍😍 best times ever I was 21 back then now I’ll be 30 in a month and my cousins are all high schoolers and one is freshmen in college 😍😍😍😍
I suspect because a lot of Saudis thought that this was going to be a recipe for Saudi aseeda with meat broth. They consider this version of aseeda to be what the "poor people in the South (Yemen)" eat.

Yes, this Libyan aseeda is different from the Saudi aseeda. It is more like the Yemeni aseeda.

I don't make aseeda very often, but once you have seen it done it is not so difficult to do. It is hard work though :-)
