Some are commenting on how this isn't an OLED monitor. For many reasons, this monitor is actually better than OLED for anyone in the creative space and for many gamers. Before I outline why, I will point out that I do use an OLED monitor at times for a second monitor and this combination gives great results, but for a primary monitor I would much prefer this on a laptop. For starters, this has way higher nits than OLED, which means it is visible in a much wider range of environments. This is a big issue for a portable device. The response time won't be as good as an OLED at 3ms so for high end competitive gamers that could be an issue but it is very fast so for most it wouldn't be. Again, even in this scenario I personally would just use a secondary OLED monitor as my primary gaming monitor, but gaming is secondary to me so I don't need the absolute best response time all of the time. It also has no burn in, which regardless of what some may say, laptops are not a tv and burn in is still an issue with even the best OLED out there. OLED monitors use about 3x the amount of power compared to this style of screen. OLED does have a wider viewing angle, but when I am using a laptop, this is not only not an issue since I am sitting right in front of it, it can be a detriment when using in a public space since the narrower viewing angle gives a little more privacy. If one shares their screen with multiple viewers often, this could be a consideration for OLED. OLED has true black which mini LED does not so dynamic range under ideal conditions favor OLED, however in actual use I have found this is highly dependent on "ideal conditions" since once the ambient range starts to increase, OLED quickly starts to wash out. In the end, the argument for OLED vs Mini LED is highly personal dependent on how one uses a system and what they value most. For the reasons I've outlined I find for my use as a technical artist a combination of this with an OLED secondary monitor works best.
Very detailed and insightful comment, thanks a lot for sharing this actually useful perspective instead of just bleating "guh no oled" like a good number of people here. _looks at above reply_
