Well the next switch should be backwards compatible with the current switch only issue is how good will they do it also will it be both physical and digital backwards compatible bc certain games needs that like dbd for example it should be lil bit more powerful then the ps4 well going by leaks on that part the backwards compatible was confirmed but like I said idk how it'll be though

Ive never heard of anyone getting drift yet. Ive had 0 issues with mine that arent typical windows issues. My sd card works perfectly, samsung 512gb. My softwares been perfect except occasional windows hiccups, but its nothing to do with asus. Ive had mine since release day and thats been my experience, i play it a few hours a day every day
if you're familiar with Windows, it's still easy to deal. I had no problem with mine because I got tons of problem on my PC and by the time I got Ally, I already know how to handle those problems
I had mine for a couple weeks but ended up returning it. It seemed like I was doing more troubleshooting than I was gaming. Went for the steam deck instead. While I wish it had the same power and performance, I’m having a better experience with little to no issues.
I can't even argue with this the only thing man is steamos Is really what saving the steam deck mean that with no disrespect since it's a dedicated software companies can really optimize for it and for steam deck so it's so much easier
I love that this comes with Windows 11. Should make a heck of an emulation machine. I wonder where the emulation break point will be? Cemu? RPCS3? Xenia? Ryujinx?
I'm doing all kinds of homework on getting a handheld gaming system. I was first looking into Switch and Playstation Portal but so far this one is winning me over. Also learned you can play Playstation games on it??
The sticky buttons was found by linus, but asus said it was suppose to fixed for retail units. You probably got an early shipment 1 that had that issue too

What's the one that's the most fun, easy to set up, looks good and works best from one's TV >and< works well just to pick up take on the go for more gaming? And what are the best accessories to make it happen? Bonus Question: How much is it worth it just to spend the same price or less to get as powerful or more powerful than these by going with just a laptop or mini-PC? I have fallen in love with the freedom of PC gaming, but I'm still from console roots. What's the coolest way to get the PC Console gamer experience?

Something I want to know regarding these handhelds is... which makes for the best Switch experience? When it comes down to all the accessories you need, what best accessories to go with and when it comes to bringing PC Gaming to your living room television.... which is the better Console to Handheld Experience? Steam Deck or The ROG Ally? I use a laptop currently. I have to open it, hit the power button.. close it... I'd like to have my Steam Games and maybe other PC games on my TV through one of these devices.... what's the best configuration for coach gaming using a handheld console?
Yes, please do a dedicated video on Accessories... There are a lot from JSAUX and other brands...please help me review them so that I can make the right decision... TIA and cheers!!

The only downfall to the ASUS ROG is the OS.. ASUS comes with Windows 11 which is known for restrictions and lack of support.. If there only a way to revert the OS to Windows 10 this device be perfect.. but all in all it’s still better then the steam deck
It’s not that hard. Create a windows bootable media and hook it up to a dock with a keyboard and boot from the usb instead of the ssd to install windows 10. It’s not that hard. Also windows 11 works fine.
Installed it in my stem deck lol
Its funny.. but for a ( avgconsumer) the deck is actually much better 😅 great review! Always love to hear your honest thoughts
All depends on alot like if u use epic gog ubisoft ea etc...
I'd disagree - how hard is it to update drivers?
Steam Deck is WAY more tinkering if u wanna play non Steam games.
@j_dun4830 better console experience period. Way more friendly towards non tinkering players. But everyone his or her opinion
Asus is paying these so called average consumers . You see all of them making videos together lol
@@j_dun4830you haven't had steam deck looks like . If steam deck gets 8 out of 10 for usrr experience ally gets maybe 3 . That's what the difference is like . I did had both so can tell you that and also I have been using windows all my life .
Great review.
I have steam and ROG. I’m using the Ally a lot more. Smaller easier to play on. The official carrying case is a must.
I play Diablo baldurs gate and remnant 2 on low to medium settings. Good times when I’m away from my desktop.
Highly recommend it.
How are you finding Baldurs gate controls without the trackpads?
@@MegaToohey it’s not ideal. I actually much rather play with mouse and keyboard when I’m home. I tried again to get into it but it’s difficult.
Hopefully the next Nintendo handheld has similar specs and features as well as backwards compatibility with Switch games (digital & physical).
@@nani.df.Nintendo game chips are basically, if not literally, SD cards.
So the cards themselves will likely physically by the same.
Lol
I just bought one thanks bro
asus tax and lack of discount make it double of price of steam deck.
Ok
I want to get one but I am so nervous. There seem to be a lot of issues with quality control. Joystick drift, SD card slot issues, buggy software, etc...
get steam deck
Ive never heard of anyone getting drift yet. Ive had 0 issues with mine that arent typical windows issues. My sd card works perfectly, samsung 512gb. My softwares been perfect except occasional windows hiccups, but its nothing to do with asus. Ive had mine since release day and thats been my experience, i play it a few hours a day every day
The option to install a gen4 4tb nvme SSD is awesome. The Steam deck can't do that
@@joeschmoe5009 some people just don't know how to work around a pc i swear lol
Don't get the ally . I have bought it twice and only to return. Get a steam deck . Miles better experience.
Best buy its on sale $400 rate now
Is windows on a small device really easy to deal with? I still think steamOS is the way to go
I guess but it's abit of annoying
if you're familiar with Windows, it's still easy to deal.
But also thought steam deck is a console while rog ally is a pc
You won't say this if you know how to download all the games for free 😂 . The cracked games
Rog a lot better
@@bboyalanleung123 still debatable lol and yes ik how to do that torrents all of it😂 both have pros and cons just all abt taste
Can't argue with this. I don't think I will have an issue since I'm a PC gamer mostly and I'm used to random Windows issues.
Its a great device plays everything i want and i haven't changed any settings
I love that this comes with Windows 11. Should make a heck of an emulation machine. I wonder where the emulation break point will be? Cemu? RPCS3? Xenia? Ryujinx?
This and Game Pass is a no brainer
Yes accessory video plz!
You probably got an early shipment 1 that had that issue too
Like I keep asking all my favorite handheld creators: Which one makes the best all in one Switch? What's the one that's the most fun, easy to set up, looks good and works best from one's TV >and< works well just to pick up take on the go for more gaming?
And what are the best accessories to make it happen?
Bonus Question: How much is it worth it just to spend the same price or less to get as powerful or more powerful than these by going with just a laptop or mini-PC?
I have fallen in love with the freedom of PC gaming, but I'm still from console roots. What's the coolest way to get the PC Console gamer experience?
Awesome video... I came in wanting info on the ROG Ally (wanting one for an overseas trip I'm planning), and I'm coming out of this video NEEDING that Sonic The Hedgehog game controller holder!!! Where can I find one of those?!! @6:15
3:11 What game is that?
I got rid of my Steam Deck for this beast. No regrets! I can now play games in higher graphic settings lol
Have you played baldurgate3 on this yet
@@SerpercivaltheVloggerlol what a question
Is there a way that makes it so you have to use my password to log into it?
Ally brothers unite!!!!
Brothers,steam deck trash
Still waiting on mine to get delivered, hopefully NLT Friday
Has the SD card frying been resolved?
Yes please!😁👍
I’m getting one just because it’s basically a portable Xbox for me.
Holy crap i barely noticed the Gundam shirt!! The penelope maybe
What charger was that? Can you recommend a good one? 11:57
The only problem with this device is Windows 11. Windows is just not ready for handheld usage :( . I have many issues with the input.
Can u play PlayStation games on it?
the most legendary device created
Something I want to know regarding these handhelds is... which makes for the best Switch experience? When it comes down to all the accessories you need, what best accessories to go with and when it comes to bringing PC Gaming to your living room television.... which is the better Console to Handheld Experience?
Steam Deck or The ROG Ally?
I use a laptop currently. I have to open it, hit the power button.. close it... I'd like to have my Steam Games and maybe other PC games on my TV through one of these devices.... what's the best configuration for coach gaming using a handheld console?
I love mine. I have a steam deck too but I’m not gonna sell it cause it’s all modded so I’m Keeping it as an emulation machine
Main difference them is the software. This define is a generation ahead of hardware.
So it depends on how much you like steamOS.
For 700 bucks , this thing better turn into a life-size android woman and shake my hand every time I turn it on
It’s 300
Yes, please do a dedicated video on Accessories... There are a lot from JSAUX and other brands...please help me review them so that I can make the right decision... TIA and cheers!!
Can you connect it to a tv and connect a wireless controller and headset to it at once like you can on the Steam Deck?
Hey great video! Just wondering what game were you playing at 4:29 looks cool. Definitely getting an Asus Rog Ally!
I believe it's Scarlet Nexus. But I could be wrong.
YES please to the ACCESSORIES video you can use with the ROG Ally 😇
Hey bro. Have you reviewed the Razer Edge 5G for over 30 days? I like the Rog myself. But I have to disagree on a couple to a few things with your title. If you do a comparison video of ROG Ally Vs Razer Edge 5G, then maybe most of you all reviews and videos change. Still a fan of your channel. Keep going.
It's not really fair, the Razer edge is meant for Android phones, the ally is meant as a handheld mid-slightly high end laptop.
got a used one for $200 works better than my old laptop lmao
Looks pretty good. I do miss oled screen
Son wants this for xmas but he is not always where he has wifi connection. Can multiple games be downloaded affectively where you have wifi connection and played ok with out a wifi connection.
Thanks for the review! It’s been months now and how do you feel about this product? My co worker is selling his and he don’t have time to use it and I’m interested on it after watching your review. A handheld computer powerful enough to play pc games. As right now I’m playing playing Fortnite and the new avatar pandora box game. Do you think the ROG ALLY would handle it? Thank you 🙏🏽
