I might suggest prior to actually ending the call. Use your phone display to switch it back to CarPlay. Then once you end call you should already be playing everything back through carplay. But I assume you completely end the call from you phone and then have the issue.

Not a bad thought. Might be difficult to manage while driving though. I will give it a shot!

I had similar issues with USB A connection. I changed it to a USB C and haven’t had a problem since.

On my 2021 ram plug in the USB and then press media my works that way for apple car play

Try a new usb cable cause it shouldn’t take that long. I don’t have that issue on my ram if not connecting

I had my 2018 for well over a year before I knew it had Apple CarPlay. Just picked up my 2021 and yes I do know it has it. LOL

Try turning off Bluetooth on your phone then connect your phone cable.

I had the issue on mine that it stays on when I have the truck off since the usb inputs are always on in the ram truck . It plays while the truck is off radio off not sure if you have that same issue
