Besides SML, I am so so glad that I also grew up with other plush channels like Cute Mario Bros, Stachebros, and RosyTheRascal15. Whether their content still hold up today quality/comedy wise or not, they were genuinely some of my favorite creators on the platform at the time. P.S. In Logan's defense (for once), the giveaways at the end of their videos USED to be genuine, and he even recorded himself shipping them out on the vlog channel, but eventually he stopped doing them, yet he continued to make it look that way by saying that "it was for jokes now". P.P.S. I honestly feel bad for GameCubeDude300 during all that previous drama.
SML fell off after they were hit with demonetization back in 2018. But after bouncing back to creating good videos back in 2019, they really fell off after that very first video that introduced the human puppets, which was late within that year. Most of the videos after that were just basic and simplistic plots with no effort put into them, only to later lead to the cease-and-desist from Nintendo which really sealed the grave. They still hold a special place for me during 2015-2017, as that was when the content was at its peak in terms of effort, quality, and humor. But at this point, the only reason why I still watch them is because one other TH-cam reaction channel that I enjoy watches all of their new videos.

I remember finding SML during 2011 thanks to my siblings. We watched through the Stupid and Dumb Adventures series and several other videos and we lost interest once we reached the episode after Mama Luigi's departure from the series.... I remember coming back to the channel during 2013-2014, watched various videos that were relatively new at that point but I ended up getting burned out and dropping off for good while the Bowser Jr. Era was still going and he kept starting various side series that went absolutely nowhere. Kinda depressing how the channel went over the years including tossing out previous channels, the behind the scenes drama and the rebranding. It's crazy to think that despite everything that happened he still gets millions of views each video.
Honestly the most impressive thing to me is that Logan has been on TH-cam for over 15 years and still able to get millions of views on every video after multiple channels

It was clearly a kid who enjoyed making whatever he was with his friends. I remember watching SML really early, like ~2010-2013, but I also watched all his videos before them all the way back to 2007. I was like 9 or 10 and for whatever reason I really liked his content (whatever you would call this genre in general too). I even made a cringe video that took elements from the videos back then. I'll never forget the enjoyment I had, it's really unfortunate what's happened. This is the prime example of greed ruining everything. I left before the Jeffy era, only seeing it after seeing what the channel was up to years ago. I watched all those old videos where he was mumbling about mario in a shitty resolution, and I loved them lol. I think I left around when chef started to play a bigger roll or like 2014 but I don't remember. It's so weird watching this whole new era. It's like watching Dragon Ball Z after the original Dragon Ball. Also there was a taco bell dog and black yoshi that were kinda racist 😂 I remember black yoshi liking purple kool-aid a lot and having a "hood" accent, while the dog obviously liked taco bell and had an awful mexican accent. Woody was funny as fuck though lol, he used to always say some shit in a southern accent about "shrimpo" or something . I'm sure no one will know what the hell what I'm talking about though. This is the first time I've ever felt old, conceptually at least.

I've always believed that he stopped being popular with a more intellectual audience after the final episode of Mario and Luigi's Stupid and Dumb Adventures (a video series he made), which he made before he had an operation on his lungs when he was in high school, in a way that if he were to die during the operation, the videos would loop at the end, and people would remember him for those videos he made from 2007-2012. Even if he didn't die, it would've been appropriate for him to leave it there because it would've saved him the amount of pain and suffering he's still in, because of his own decision. He had an opportunity to stop asking for money on TH-cam and accept the fact that they're shit with money and get a more substantial job for his house, but his addiction with it, is what's fucking him up.
I went into this video not knowing a whole lot about SML and now I've learned more while understanding less. I remember super mario logan was my favorite thing to watch back when it first came out. My friends and I at elementary school would quote things like crapbear, super sharpie and frozen death of hot pockets all day. But then in 2016 I saw some kid at church with a Jeffy T shirt.

Chef Peepee was always the best character, closely followed by Black Yoshi.
I've always believed that he stopped being popular with a more intellectual audience after the final episode of Mario and Luigi's Stupid and Dumb Adventures (a video series he made), which he made before he had an operation on his lungs when he was in high school, in a way that if he were to die during the operation, the videos would loop at the end, and people would remember him for those videos he made from 2007-2012. Even if he didn't die, it would've been appropriate for him to leave it there because it would've saved him the amount of pain and suffering he's still in, because of his own decision. He had an opportunity to stop asking for money on TH-cam and accept the fact that they're shit with money and get a more substantial job for his house, but his addiction with it, is what's fucking him up.

you can tell how the quality dip drastically. The stories used to have some compotents to em while now it relies heavily on shock humor and such

I remember super mario logan was my favorite thing to watch back when it first came out. My friends and I at elementary school would quote things like crapbear, super sharpie and frozen death of hot pockets all day. But then in 2016 I saw some kid at church with a Jeffy T shirt.
One time when I was a 3rd grader our teacher gave us free time to watch youtube on the big projector, and one of my classmates suggested this channel. How we where able to watch a few videos is beyond me lmao.
