- Anyone notice that Jeffy has been somewhat irrelevant and a pointless character nowadays? For a long while, Jeffy has gotten the least amount of character development or interesting twists. Jeffy has really regressed far from the one semi-likable character he used to be, and I think Jeffy is pointless with how the show treats him
Whether used for clickbait, misleading titles, or just background character spouting jokes, i think Jeffy serves not really a purpose is the show currently.

yo Ray, i know you’re probably not gonna see this but if you do, i wanted to tell you a bit of my situation and i hope you could make a video about it to spread the word. So basically, we’ve been making SML animations for the better part of two years (all completely original ofc you’ll see why i mention this in a bit). We’ve been doing this without problems until about 7 months ago, when Logan started working with SuperBam, ever since then, every single video we’ve made has gotten claimed by them. I had one of my friends that knows Logan write him 3 times about the situation and he said that he’d get it resolved. He even commented on a now unlisted video i had talking about everything saying “i’ll tell super bam to put you on a whitelist” 6 months later and we’re still getting robbed. A video from your part would really help us get this resolved, and would also highlight the prevalent problem of SuperBam unrightfully stealing money from innocent creators, such as reactors, fan channels, and animators like me, thanks :)

Brooklyn guy is bad because Logan saw how people loved him and his humor so he kept using him in every video but flanderized his goofy personality and made him into a man child .
It pains me to say that I was one of those Jeffy kids. The type of SML fan to be toxic and wash all criticism of Jeffy and framed anyone as a hater. But I grew from it and now that I have, Jeffy isn’t as nearly as entertaining as he used to be, hell, I’ve gone back to those videos where I loved Jeffy in and found myself being annoyed by him.

Tbh I don’t mind Jeffy. Atleast like jeffy before the lawsuit, he could definitely be annoying but I didn’t mind most of his centric episodes. While he is DEFINITELY not my favorite character, not even in my top 10, I don’t hate him. (Mario’s character definitely got worse after he was introduced tho)

Unless SML has the desire to change something about Jeffy and make it permanent, or something more interesting than the current character we got for 8 years...i don't see what else they can do except make him the cash cow and the comic relief.
The only purpose Jeffy actually does serve is to make money basically SML is slowly becoming illumination

2019-2021: Somewhat Smarter and kind of better as a character.
2022-Onwards: Just a nothing character that only is still here for views.
I hope for Jeffy's 20th birthday that Logan will do something with him like maybe become a better person or have respect to Marvin and Rose anything really

Has Jeffy ever even been a character at all? Even during his debut, all he was was just an elaborate plot device and a way of contrivedly making Mario suffer, even when it makes absolutely no sense for him to do so.
well the problem with this is that his debut, he wasn't going to be a main character, he was gonna be a one off/side character.
I think the reason why jeffy becoming less relevant is bc his whole story arc of him getting millions dollars is kinda over, They're literally don't know what to do with the character now.
The same thing happened with Joseph when he had went through his own arc. The one where he was doing back and forth about him killing his mom and being really poor. Now that his arc has been finished, he is a nothing character and a stereotype that always sides with Junior.
THIS! ( yes, I am writing this as soon as SML Father's Heist came out recently ) his purpose just feels finished and logan probably doesnt know what to do with him anymore
Let’s not deny here, Jeffy is a MISTAKE. Without him we could’ve seen SML stride in success without him, sure not as popular but we could’ve seen the channel being untouched by drama, controversies, and three channels being ceased to exist.
Seeing what Jeffy has become now really shows how much a cash cow runs it course due Logan’s ignorance. I’m ok with him being not a main character but still he is so boring and annoying whenever he’s on the spotlight or secondary character.
I don’t care if he’s anyone’s favorite nor anyone cares about him, he exist to remind us that he is literally a MISTAKE of a character that tainted SML’s reputation.

I'll be honest man, the delusion you SML Fans are is insane to me. As someone, who's an OG... And not gonna lie, I'm a pretty huge fan of jeffy. He's one of my favorites, and I'll agree modern SML sorta... made his character pointless.
But SML's decline was NOT jeffy's fault. It was far from it, really. The lawsuits and all that stuff. SML's fate was completely inevitable. There was literally not stopping it. If jeffy somehow didn't exist, somehow became an one time character. There was absolutely nothing that was stopping the lawsuits, the demonization's, being on the news.... etc. If it wasn't jeffy, it was most likely gonna be a whole other character. Possibly junior, I would bet.
Simply put, this idea, this entire way thinking this wouldn't had happened without jeffy is silly and just downright delusional. Simply, I would say jeffy simply spiced SML up. Because him, more variety of main or side characters came to play. The jeffy era, or.... 2017-2019 era was SML's best years. I would argue that... and most would probably agreed.
Sadly, logan used him and few other characters as cashcows, instead of just making good videos his viewers would enjoy. The hate on jeffy is completely unjustified, and just marks the toxicity of the community.

The thing is, I feel like there is no MAIN character anymore, which…can be done right, old SML really had no main character, of course junior took over for a bit, but you’d get episodes with chef pee pee and toad, bowser centric episodes, Mario and black Yoshi episodes, woody and shrek episodes, it felt like each episode had its own cast. Modern day sml however, doesn’t do this right. It feels like everyone is just there to tell jokes and not even progress the plot, And tell me which characters appeared in any modern day sml videos, I bet it was Marvin, Rose, Jeffy, and Brooklyn guy, or Junior, Joseph, Cody, Jeffy, and Brooklyn guy. Each episode has barely identical characters, but each of them feel like side characters that just tell jokes 24/7.
Tbh, if logan actually fullfilled his promise of buring jeffy, I would not be affected. But I think a good idea to retire jeffy is to have jeffy move out of Marvin's house and have his own place, starting a new location and probably new dynamics
I feel like SML is trying so hard to be Like the Amazon show “The Boys” where there is no MAIN character just a bunch of other characters living their lives and deal with their own problems and occasionally interact with each other

Logan says that he doesn't like using Jeffy, and yet STILL uses him for clickbait and views. Like if you, the one person running the show genuinely doesn't like their own character, why even continue to use them (minus bringing in views)? Jeffy had his run in the cast, people loved him, he caused controversy, and now he is growing stale as time go on. The same kids who saw Jeffy as their idol are now grown up and are regretting ever liking him to begin with (especially those who were the so called "the true fans" of Sml). Not only that but since Logan is aging Jeffy, its odd seeing a 20 year old still acting like a child. Sure when we first saw Jeffy it was shown that he had some type of development issues. Nowadays, its hard to tell. Perhaps he is somewhat maturing? To some extent of course.

In my personal opinion, Sml needs to retire Jeffy from the show.
All they do is milk him and use him for Clickbait, even some of the descriptions for videos says "Jeffy get's a new friend" even if it's not a Jeffy video.

That's what I've been saying. If they do make Jeffy's 20th birthday (which is most likely), then that would be the perfect time to get rid of him (aka, he finally moves out). Hypothetically speaking, if he DOES move out, then that would only leave Marvin and Rose in the picture. What will they do with Jeffy finally out of their hair? Who knows? I think that they would finally have their long-awaited time to relax with one another.

I think ever since Jeffy's 18th birthday (almost got sick from saying that) Logan had no idea what to do with him. Then he tried again with Jeffy's 19th birthday which was "better" but now with the whole, "this is canon, this is not canon" bs he has nothing for jeffy except for being a cash cow and plot device even for just 30 seconds of the video. Wonder what's going to happen on Jeffy's 20th birthday. Is Logan going to keep his promise like he usually does 😑 and kill off Jeffy? The thought of Jeffy's personality is kinda cool but it was poorly written / executed. I like a deliquent character who's dumb but also really funny and a comedic character. They're not so dumb to the point where it's annoying. They have moments of being very smart.

SML is based around Brooklyn Guy, Jeffy, and Junior Videos. Remember when there used to be Mr Goodman Videos and Chef Pee Pee videos? What happened to that, the list goes on and on. I hate to say it but (also this is my opinion) SML is DEAD.

I know this is off topic, but:
SML posted something in his newest community post that he posted his first sml gaming movie and he said there will now be 3 sml gaming movies in the sml gaming a week.
That, alongside the 3-4 sml movies videos a week, and the vlogs would mean the quality MAY decrease further, and maybe will, but probably will, have videos worse than Cody’s stolen penny or the power outage (that’s my prediction, but it’s bad news). Also I don’t know if Logan edits the smlgaming videos, but from the looks of it, it’s not good.

You're right and wrong at the same time, the quality of the video's didn't go down because jeffy became a side character. It more so they don't do character arc anymore and jeffy being the biggest one. Now that his is finish they don't know what to do with him anymore and kinda gave up on him

You know something wierd I noticed. Ever since SML uploaded the vlog where he was basically refusing to do 2 videos a week, his viewership has dropped by like 10%. Its almost like people are just done with his videos and his quantity over quality approach

I find it weird how junior still found a way to stand taller than jeffy, junior has always been a main character and still is, while Jeffy took over for 2017-2021 junior was still always a main character during this time too and now jeffys crawling back into recession he was inside in for 2016 were he would occasionally get a video and be a side character. I think lance might be tired of playing Jeffy at this point
I always prefer junior videos it’s pretty much south park mix with Logan, Lovell, and Chris it’s the fact their videos are entertaing the sports drink and the new playtime episode shows Junior is much more entertaining and has more things to do than jeffy. Jeffy is just there the fandom doesn’t really care about jeffy like back in the day Brooklyn guy has been appearing more than jeffy. Final destination is a Brooklyn guy video, jeffy the spy is mainly a Marvin video jeffy just doesn’t have much jokes to tell compare to back in the day. I wouldn’t be surprised if jeffy just stop appearing cause jeffy just isn’t working anymore I don’t even dislike him he’s just ok now but they’re not doing anything with him.
6:31 - Logan made a promise in July 2018 that if YT gave him his ads back on the original SML channel…he would burn Jeffy for good. In September 2018, YT gave Logan his ads back but eventually…it turned out that Logan didn’t have the guts to burn Jeffy.

I said this Before and I will say it Again, the Only Logical Step for a Character like Jeffy was for him to Grow Up and Leave his Role as a Main Character but have Limited Roles like Kameos, give Othe Characters their Time to Shine, go Experimenting with New Ideas, I would love if Logan took that Risk and Challenge the Odds, but because of 18th Birthday it was clear Logan and Lance would never do that Again, both Brothers are so comfortable with Current SML they rather play it Safe and Push this Unfunny Humor only they would find Funny, to put it simply I don’t care about the Yellow Menace Anymore, they did everything and they did Nothing, a few times he can make me Chuckle but that’s It, the Rest is So Predictable and I don’t know if Both Jeffy and Brooklyn are Equally as Annoying or One is Worse than the Other?
Honestly, i don't like Brooklyn guy anymore much, since he's like in every video almost. Not to mention when jeffy becomes more of a side character, Sml quality has gone into quantity even if jeffy was obnoxious and insane back then. I guess we'll never know if his character will have it's redemption or if he'll be the same, jeffy will always be the same no matter what if he causes problems or just become a plot device when it comes to breaking stuff. I guess the only thing we can do is accept him for what he is.

It surprised that Brooklyn is trying to be next Jeffy and yet they try so hard to make him funny.
And is the character that lets Logan earn more money…but in not a good way, because Logan is still currently exhausting himself with uploading 3 episodes a week and also eg is not editing out his mistakes that would’ve let the episodes stand out more.

Jeffy really did play a major part of the downfall of smh. I use to watch a lot of sml content for a very long but quieted sml since the original channel had to be deleted and because of that I have not watched sml ever since but what I do know is that the character jeffy may not be the full reason to sml’s downfall but the character jeffy did play a major downfall into the downfall of sml
He was never the main character to begin with
imo, I feel as he needs to reset this whole entire series from when they turned into their human puppets. Speaking of, the human puppets REALLY need a redesign. It’s not how people really imagined or interpreted their characters. Logan realistically needs to stop having so much filler in his videos and actually take his time writing these episodes so his new and old fans can actually enjoy these episodes and stop adding unnecessary characters and bring back old characters who were originally from the original cast.
