There’s something about how knowing they’re not really there just ruins the illusion. Granted, it definitely saved everyone on time, but, man, it just doesn’t look as good when they get shredded/destroyed.
I remember going to the library in the middle of nowhere Ohio with my grandpa and somehow finding the entire season for rent there. I showed it to my grandfather who was rightly skeptical. I somehow convinced him cuz I told him that the internet series was funny. We popped it in the vcr and had such a blast watching it to the dismay of my grandmother who thought it was incessantly stupid, but I’ll never forget laughing with my grandfather. Afterwards at the dinner table we made voices with the fruit we were eating which practically drove my grandma off the edge. In the end though she admitted it was kind of funny. Despite me being well into my 22nd year on this earth I’ll never forget those days with my grandfather. I miss him greatly. He was a wonderful goofy guy. We never returned the dvd (although later in life I still went back and payed) it’s collecting dust in my dvd collection. I still can hear us laughing. In the end the show was lame and to my grandma. Me and my grandfather were the annoying oranges. Love you grandpa. We’ll meet again. ❤️
You know, this story reminds me of one time. I was babysitting a Child and I decided to show him one of the episodes of Annoying Orange. How to I used to like it, I'm just started watching it. He laughed a lot too kind of like your Grandpa in the Story Also great story. I like that a lot. Hope you become a writer someday

I remember little kid me being so pumped over just Tobuscus alone and since I was a fan of both, this was the crossover of the century. It just felt so cool as a kid. Kind of embarrassing to say that this show was genuinely a part of my childhood nostalgia, though.
the worst part of the annoying orange is the fact that they all have two of the same eye. Its not a left and right eye, it's two of the same eye just copy/pasted over. The tear ducts are both facing the same way. Now you'll never be able to unsee it.

When will society go back to normal and have common sense? In 10 years almost 50% of all women will be single, yet that’s not concerning. The only thing I remember from this show is the Christmas special that was basically a parody of A Christmas Carol except the main issue was that Orange was so annoying that his friends were literally planning on ending their own lives if he didn't stop (im not kidding in a vision to the future they were literally jumping into shopping carts knowing well that they would be eaten) and I think that was where the whole "falling out over underwear" scene came from because I remember that Pear (or maybe Passion Fruit?) jumped into one of the carts after hearing him say that specific joke
I remember this show entirely because of one scene in the superpowers episode where the guy gained mop hands. That scene is literally engraved into my brain

The fact that Annoying Orange was marketed as a kids show when the video's plots as well just revolved around how at least one character get gruesomely murdered each episode and that was the entire joke of the series existing... As well as featuring Tobuscus who, while he was clearly popular with younger children and marketed himself as such, would play games that weren't entirely kid friendly lmfao. I remember binging Happy Wheels and hiding it whenever my parents saw because I was worried the gore was too violent. Made me feel edgy lmfao. AO was clearly popular with the same crowd of edgy little kids as well, just kind of really funny to me. It really feels like a capsule of juvenile edgy content on TH-cam that defined mine and a lot of other early 2010 kid's childhoods. Literally nothing screams 2010 more than the existence of this... Thing. I think the worst thing about web series TV shows is that it's another Morton's fork situation. Perform too well, and the network would buy the dump out of your IP, screwing your efforts and creative freedom as well as forcing you to make something else to compensate for the lost efforts. Perform too poorly, and the network would scrub you off as if they never owned you.

If im being honest, I still watch and genuinely enjoy the show. Like yeah, you have every right to say its cringe or creepy or unoriginal, cuz it is. But to me, thats one of the things that make this show charming. Along with the editing, bad jokes, orange x passion, and overall I just have a stupid taste. I also have the AO DVD and yes no matter which way you turn it around, orange is staring at you. So I cut off the cover and labeled it "Forbidden DVD". And yeah, Grapefruit was a fuckin chad.

There was so much cool stuff on Cartoon Network, but every time I got home from school I had to watch this show, and I actually hated it. This stopped me from watching Cartoon Network and since I hated sitcoms with a burning passion I couldn't watch Nickelodeon and Disney Channel. Hasbro had My Little Pony so I couldn't go on that channel, so the only option I had was Nick JR. What I'm trying to say is that Annoying Orange was so bad it ruined Cartoon Network and made me watch Nick JR. I was like 7 or 8 years old.

I actively watched every episode of this when it came out. I honestly had a blast watching it. Honestly I just like random messes that made no sense. The main reason ATHF is my favorite show
This show honestly feels like a fever dream. A tv show adaptation of a low budget youtube show, featuring Tobuscus, and airing on Cartoon Network.
Coming back to this, I remembered Grapefruit as an Eric Cartman copy but just a bully rather than someone who'd kill and feed your parents to you. That Avengers episode sure proved me wrong.
Honestly when you were talking about how the show was dealing with topics like race, racism, and genocide, i genuinely went into another plain of laughter and funny.
I remember being an avid Orange fan and forcing my family TV to stay on CN all day in anticipation for the Annoying Orange premiere. That might be the first time I ever felt embarassment in my life

I stopped watching CW as a kid right as this hit. I missed the whole tragedy. God. I'm learning about it now, at 10 PM in 2022. I hate this.

idk what season this is in but there was an episode where Pear gets possessed by the spirits of a bunch of dead pears, I think it was called "Peartergeist" (like poltergeist but pears). Also I think Orange cries in the episode and then everyone laughs at him???

I’m just happy that one show took it for the team to get an even worse iMDB score than Problem Solverz because the latter does NOT deserve being the “worst”
If im being honest, I still watch and genuinely enjoy the show. Like yeah, you have every right to say its cringe or creepy or unoriginal, cuz it is. But to me, thats one of the things that make this show charming. Along with the editing, bad jokes, orange x passion, and overall I just have a stupid taste.
I also have the AO DVD and yes no matter which way you turn it around, orange is staring at you. So I cut off the cover and labeled it "Forbidden DVD".
And yeah, Grapefruit was a fuckin chad.
Both Grapefruit and Grandpa Lemon are the most chad like fruits ever (Despite me not really watching the franchise I've seen the gaming Channel when I was super young I don't know why haha)

There was so much cool stuff on Cartoon Network, but every time I got home from school I had to watch this show, and I actually hated it. This stopped me from watching Cartoon Network and since I hated sitcoms with a burning passion I couldn't watch Nickelodeon and Disney Channel. Hasbro had My Little Pony so I couldn't go on that channel, so the only option I had was Nick JR. What I'm trying to say is that Annoying Orange was so bad it ruined Cartoon Network and made me watch Nick JR.
