I fully buried a hook into my hand pulling the shift lever seal no more than an hour ago lol. Surprisingly it doesn’t really hurt but it sure did bleed a lot. This case had a rear pump on it, plastic vent, but the reverse piston hole is in the 7 o’clock position. No hole at 11 o’clock. Reverse clutches were completely smoked. Maybe that’s why. Didn’t have the spring under the servo either.
Thx for the vid Shawn. I opened up a Powerglide this week from a buddies 9s braket car. It had lost the thrust behind the pump and the 383 small block in front had lost it's thrust aswell, not sure what cause what but it's sure is a mess.
I need to build my powerglide for street racing with No transbrake. I do want a full manual unit. What do I leave out of your build series???? Your help is very important. Thanks for the information!!!

Question what way does the inner lip seal go on the high clutch drum on the powerglide.
The lips must face the incoming oil.
@@mountainsgarage Both of them facing down sound right.
