With a history more turbulent than a cryptocurrency, Aston Martin has often struggled to have the funding to fully develop their product or even keep their doors open but have still managed to produce some of the world's most iconic sports cars. It's a great pleasure for the team here at CCCR to restore, maintain and service these iconic cars.

I do! and I got one. Me and my sister used to sit in the rear of an early DB 2 and later a series 2 DB 4 when we where kids in the 60:ies. So Aston Martin has always been the car marque that´s been closest to my heart. And luckily I own an early 1954 DB 2/4. But converting an Aston or any old vehicle to EV is a bloddy rape, if you ask me! Cheers from Sweden!

No. Restomods are for other cars. Aston Martins are handcrafted works of art. Our job is to preserve them for future generations. Restomod is nothing more than a fad, and in my opinion, mainly tasteless with oversized wheels and some horrid Corvette engine. If you want a modern car, then buy a modern car. The experience of owning a, say, 1968 car is for the authentic experience of driving a car in 1968. Please understand, these are works of art. You don't paint a mustache on the Mona Lisa because you want to....
@@ThomasMulhall i can see your point but politely disagree. Aston martins were not built as pieces of art they were built to be driven and enjoyed. There is aston martin works to enhance your car. The automatic car in this video is has already been changed to manual. retromodding does not need to be horrid. the car values make it non economic to do, but the standard V8s were not the best cars, that is why the vantages and xpacks came along. if you were going to put a non aston engine in it, which you would not normally do, just enhance the engine, it would be a ford 429 hemi. which of course would be very fitting. i would prefer a ford engine to ford swtich gear !
If you put a Ford engine in it, the car is no longer an Aston Martin. Changing to manual is fine, as long as its a factory used gearbox, either before or after the model. Factory parts are ok as long as they are period correct, ie colour change, gearbox change, etc. What I have seen of restomods are stupid wheels, engines from different marques, and a host of electronic gadgets like sat nav, central door locks, and the like. Again, if one wants a modern car, then buy a modern car. Cheers
