Land Rover Defender 110 County Double Cab For Sale
Cotswold Classic Car Restorations Ltd are delighted to have been instructed to act as sales agents on behalf of the current owner to find a new adventure for this eye-catching example of British off-road excellence.
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204381900849?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=oaAtirjjS3i&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=ieTkz5ubSYO&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=SMS#readMoreDesc
The Land Rover series was launched in April 1948 at the Amsterdam Motor Show and despite several refreshes over the years its origins are still obvious as no major design changes were made. After a continuous run of 67 years, production of the Land Rover Series ended on 29th January 2016 with a total of just over two million Land Rover Series and Defender models being built. The Defender model was in production for 25 years.
It is widely regarded that the best Defenders for daily driving are the post 2006-models which benefit from a number of improvements. Significant changes included replacing the engine for the more modern Ford Transit-sourced four-cylinder 2.4 litre 122bhp diesel engine with the smoother six speed gearbox. One of the advantages being the reduced engine noise; enabling the ability to have a conversation at 70mph on the motorway unlike its predecessor. The interior was also improved with air conditioning and electric windows.
The value of the Defender is consistently rising with some selling for significantly more than their original purchase price. This is due to a combination of factors including increasing demand, limited supply and the reputation of Defenders as durable, capable and iconic vehicles.
The Defender is seen as a symbol of adventure, exploration and exclusivity which further increases their desirability. The market for the Defender is showing no signs of slowing down and is a popular choice for those who are looking for a classic and capable vehicle which is also a sound investment opportunity.
Defenders are know for their durability and off-road capability with the ability to go almost anywhere, making them ideal for a variety of uses from a family 4x4 to adventure travel and wild camping.
As can be seen in the photos this Defender is a stand-out example with many modifications and upgrades:
Central locking
Battery isolation switch
Two sets of keys with key fobs
Air conditioning
Tinted windows
Wind deflectors
Momo steering wheel
Electric front windows
Alpine sound system
Drop down DVD player behind the front seats
Alpine DAB radio
Reverse parking camera for easy parking and trailer hitching
Patriot roof rack
Snorkel
Led light bar and led side and rear lights
This Defender despite looking similar to a Twisted Land Rover© it is not out of the Twisted Land Rover factory hence the much lower price.
Full black leather diamond stich leather seats are stylish yet comfortable on longer journeys.
The Patriot roof rack is the perfect platform to watch the sunset from; as well as extra storage space. .
The comprehensive history file details maintenance work carried out with many receipts.
Low mileage at only 66400 miles.
This Defender offers many uses from wild camping to a business promotion vehicle at festivals and shows.
Please note that Cotswold Classic Car Restorations Ltd are acting as sales agents on behalf of the current owner. Transport and shipping can be arranged; with all paperwork necessary handled on behalf of the purchaser.
The owner is motivated to sell and therefore is open to sensible offers.

I do! and I got one. Me and my sister used to sit in the rear of an early DB 2 and later a series 2 DB 4 when we where kids in the 60:ies. So Aston Martin has always been the car marque that´s been closest to my heart. And luckily I own an early 1954 DB 2/4. But converting an Aston or any old vehicle to EV is a bloddy rape, if you ask me! Cheers from Sweden!

The push-buttons for the auto tranny would have come from Chrysler as part of the engine/transmission package. They also featured in American cars (some with delightful tapered round buttons) and I maintain that they are the best from all the doo dabs offered today. Mercedes had the best auto selector, sublime in conception and operation. A pity Rolls Royce used GM auto transmissions and missed out on the push buttons which is a must-have in a RR.

Very beautiful interior, especially the splendid dashboard and gauges, but also the leather instead of the damned Rubbermaid plastics. These will not be cheap, though. I would use a far different exterior color, these look beautiful in dark blue, dark green etc. BTW these are actually far smaller than they look, about the length and width of my compact 1990 Accord Coupe, but much more luxurious and powerful.

That V8s were the best shape for Aston imo, the others after that looked to much like a jag, not that there is anything wrong with that but they are not as individualistic enough and a Xks and the likes are less than half the price.

Actually, that's a Chrysler big block. It's a 383, and depending on the year it could be a RB or B block. Edit: After checking, I found the FV only came with the B block 383. The RB 383 was used exclusively by Chrysler and was not sold to 3rd party manufacturers.
