I wish the DB5 gets more than just a 5 min talk and more like a 30 min to an hour documentary

The Fine Art of Car Restorations: This is great video; it was very informative to say the least. Who would have thought that it cost so much money to restore one of these classic Aston Martin sports car. Just in case you did not hear the price, it’s over $300,000.00.

Ruel Spot Well, these cars are being restored meticulously by the brand's shop. There are lots of well known Aston Martin specialists around who probably would do the job as well and cheaper, but it wouldn't be the same. Taking it to account that it takes a few thousand hours to fully restore a car, and their hourly rate must be pretty high.

Does anybody know how I go about checking chassis and engine numbers on a DB6 please, so I know I'm getting a good one?

The Aston Martin DB5 was not an exact replica of the James Bond Goldfinger DB5, if you take a good look around the car and you will see. all it has is the BMT 216A number plate stuck on the front bumper and boot lid, that is all, the front number plate is not in the chrome box that housed the revolving number plate, there is no roof section that comes off and no bullet proof screen in the boot lid at all. Does this Fifth Gear presenter think we were all stupid or just born yesterday, tell it like it is and don't tell lies, but saying that it is the BBC, so don't believe anything they say especially in the NEWS

Yes Mr. Brownm You are very right ! This Car has nothing to do with the ORIGINAL JB 007 DB5 Car ...NOTHING ! All Gadjets which makes the legendary character of the James Bond DB 5 car are missing !

Do you honestly think that they used just one car for the film?

  • @peterbrown9662

That Aston Martin looked nothing like the one in Goldfinger that one had the number plate in a chrome box at the front so the number could rotate, the roof on this car is solid, the Goldfinger model had the removal panel on the passenger side, and if they showed you the boot there would be no bullet proof screen in it, All they have done is restore an Aston Martin DB5 and stuck the famous number plate on it that is all. So all it is, is a cheap copy.

'course they can, then the screw hole filled in, paint matched, lacquered, buffed - done. Or they could just use the right ones for the car -whatever next ? Right the world is off again ! It's all all go
