- Our second full day in Taipei we caught the local train out towards the zoo. The gondola ride to Maokong was amazing and very cheap. We enjoyed walking around the mountain top before catching the gondola back down. We finished off an amazing day with more night market foods.
Now I am homesick. I am a Taiwanese living in the US for more than 20 plus years. I miss my hometown Taipei looking at your video. Looking forward to your next video!

nice vid, how long is the gondola ride? is it lock from the outside ?
According to the operating speed of the system, the total travel time from the Taipei Zoo Station to Maokong Station is about 17 ~ 37 minutes (the operating speed is 5 ~ 2 m/s).
The gondola ride was fantastic. It took about 30 minutes. It felt very safe and the scenery was fantastic. It had 2 stops that you could get off at before the final stop.
