I think I know how to speed up your oven heat experiment. There’s this stuff called tannerite. A pound of that is basically an instantaneous preheat and 1 hour bake for you glove. 10/10 would recommend really helps me break in my catchers mitts 😉

Finally I found a good break in method
I think it would be funny if you did like a 1000 ground balls or something and made a montage for testing, on top of maybe using heat, etc. to simulate break in.

Just learned of Aria gloves and Jazz Chisholm leaving rawlings to go to them. His wingtip rawlings is/was sick! Is Aria on par with rawlings as far as quality?

hey man. i am 36 who used to be big into baseball back in HS/College. I owned a A2000 back in the day. Would you recommend a 44 or a used Rawlings HOH/A2000 ~$200? I don't currently own a quality glove and my kid is getting to an age where he will begin to play catch. What do you think? Would something like a A1000 be more suited for me?
A 44 would work great and it’s custom so that’s a bonus.
Otherwise I’d look into Buckler, they used to produce gloves for brands like Rawlings and Easton. Check out the Buckler Phalanx series on Amazon. It’s $200 and it’s a fantastic glove. I suggest it a lot cause it’s a great glove at a great price

I would say what you are comfortable with I think that both are good quality I would personally get a 44 due to the customization factor but it might take a while to come in so do with that information as you please

New A2000 or HoH or maybe a used A2K or PP
Definitely go with 11.5”
A Rawlings pro200 would be great
A Wilson 1786 would also be great
But overall try to find something that is 11.5”

They are super nice and very buttery smooth. It’s Kip leather so it’s a little thinner and harder.
If you can afford one you would not regret getting it.

Can the bullets leave toxic materials in the glove that could possibly hurt your hand? I know it probably doesnt but just wondering.
Bullets are typically lead jacketed in copper. Lead can cause cancer if it gets in your bloodstream but touching it won’t hurt you. I doubt the copper jacket was even damaged by the leather, so lead probably didn’t even come in contact with it anyways

I bought a 44 abt a year and a half ago. I recently replaced it with a Rawlings HOH because the durability and quality wasn’t good. The palm got very thin and hurt to catch. The color was also fading all over. I get that it’s still a newer company but they need to get it under control.
Ever had one with the Kip palm liner? Worth it or too thick? I’m looking at ordering an infield glove
It’s only worth it if you want a specific color, otherwise just go with the normal black sheepskin stuff
Kip palm liner isn’t adding an advantage necessarily

Great vid. I just came across these gloves on Facebook so I found your review. A couple questions. What length glove do you like at shortstop? I'm looking for a glove that helps funnel the ball because it seems like all the gloves I've tried, a Wilson, Mizuno, and Miken if the ball hits anywhere besides the web, it pops right off or out. Like it doesn't make it in the glove

I bought two 44 Gloves and they will not fit on my hand....a wooden spoon handle will not go in the fingers, but 44 Gloves says they are mine now. I threw them away.
