If the quality is the same as Pro 44, why don't everyone just go for speed custom? The price is much cheaper
I don’t think the material quality is the same, but the construction is made with the same attention to detail, so it’s a similar feel. I think people still go for the Signature series Pro44 because it has more customization options: the speed custom only has a few colors to choose from

Outstanding video! I have the C2 as my main softball glove but not gonna lie I'm kinda salty that the Speed Pro is getting there in like 2 weeks! I had to wait like 9 weeks for my C2 and it's just blond with a tan web and teal laces. Simple. But definitely do more if these videos!
what all did you do to break in ur C2? just got mine
@fatboysammy5252 Just normal break in stuff. Used a 5 lb weight like Ballgloveking does. Did a lot of hitting the break points. I also stretched the laces quite a bit to get it to loosen up. It was really difficult and a long break in, honestly, but if I had to do it again I would have wrapped giant runner bands around it and placed a softball in the pocket to help out. I would just say be patient and it'll get there for you!

the biggest problem with the speed customs is that they are more expensive than what the C2 was a year ago, the quality is lowered because its supposed to be made quickly, and the options arent as nice. the C2 is supposed to be a budget custom glove and they made it the price of the old, best versions of the signature series gloves
All 44 prices have been raised and it feels sorta unjustified considering 44’s quality has gone down since 2021. But these Speed customs feel better than their C2, and I never liked their C2 even back in like 2019. But you do make a good point. Their C2 was $145 back in the day and had more customization. I guess their reason for the +$20 is the turnaround time. At the end of the day it’s a decent piece of hardware for $160
@914ballgloves8 . No doubt its decent for the price, but the C2 is labelled as the same leather and quality as the speed custom, yet the speed custom costs more than the C2 only a year ago. Kinda wish they made the speed custom the same price of the C2's back a year ago, especially when they arent at a loss of money, selling more than ever before and having success with their regular discounts booming sales to the point of delayed deliveries (which may actually contradict my point on speed customs being too expensive, unless we find that they do actually take longer during sale periods)
I think the sales really do make the gloves take longer, and thus the large volume of orders makes them inconsistent. This wasn't an issue with 44 a couple years ago, but 44's not purchased on sale are better than their gloves pre-covid. It's weird
