I don't know what mine was. I just know it was a charcoal greyish silver with a gold Easton logo. That was in 92 and it was a hundred bucks back then lol. Coach bought it for me.

I counted the points for each bat on that scale and the soldier tank had 18 the icon had 14 the catx 2 had 14 and the hype fire had 13. I think they’re all amazing bats however.

I’ve watched enough of you guys, that i recognized a hype fire being used in the LLWS.
They only swing USA bats though, there are kids swinging Icon as well.
I may be the only one, but I think it would be cool to see a video of actual USSSA/PG kids swinging these. Idk how possible that is, but it would be cool to see them in the hands of the kids who will swing them and see how they feel about them.
That building roof must be getting ready to collapse from all the added weight from the baseballs sitting up there.

Do you not play for a middle school team I’ve played baseball my whole life and none of the leagues I’ve played in nor my middle school allow usssa considering they are to hot. I usually use a wooden 33 inch or a -3 33 metal bat bbcor/USA
I just chose not to play travel ball even though I was good enough because I liked to play with my friends who played rec.

You should make a vid of the cat 5,6,7,8,9,X, and X2 with alloy and comp and hybrid for usssa and bbcor and just notice the difference

Guys……how about a review of the CATX 2 composite BBCOR? Is it league approved in D1? They have had trouble with their bats vs competition in the NCAA level.
I have one kislux bag I got in 2019, it's the LV white catogram speedy. It's counter quality and it has a nice honey patina now, so the leather is real. I think whatever makes you happy go for it. I've seen LV with plastic leather and blood red glaze...

I always stuck with 1 piece Alloy bats back in my middle school, high school and, community college playing days. Durability was #1 due to low income. Wasn't much of a power hitter anyways. LOL

if i had these bats in the 90's when i was a kid i wouldn't have broken my hands multiple times from being rung up with those aluminum tubes they claimed were bats.
There were some great bats in the 90s. The reflex was very solid

My boy got to swing one last week as they had a Marucci rep at his tournament.
He loved the drop 5 but a little too much for him but we picked up a drop 8 before they are released.

I want to point out that the same company produces the Hype Fire and Icon. Now, the Marucci Cat-X 2 is another mainstream brand at the top of the list.
I used a 34/30 TPX.High Velocity in high school and beyond. It was the dark red one that looked almost maroon. I mashed with that bat! I took it to the cages with my son and the sound was extremely unique. It almost has the sound of a wood bat. I've been looking through your videos to see if you've ever reviewed that one but I have not found it yet. If you can get that bat I'd love to see the numbers you put up with it!

00:45 How do you break a non-wood bat in, and how does one know when you have completed this process. Sorry, but I only used wood bats years ago so the concept of having to break a bat in is new to me.

These balls look like literal laser beams coming off the bat. It’s crazy to think some major league hitters can do a few mph more exit velo than that. We need a GoPro on major league 3rd baseman to capture what a 120 mph screamer looks like coming at them.
