I’m not an expert, but I’m pretty sure why the crown tip glove had problems is because the crown tip doesn’t have welting on the index finger and that plus the mesh makes it super flimsy. Like I said though, that could be completely wrong.
once again im back watching this video, and i thought i should say or all those who can only afford the c2 model, dont let this video discourage you. the c2 model is fine as along as you get a web that doesnt have any large gaps between the leather (for example the I-Web and Cross Web). i’d recommend the Basket Web, T Web, or the 1 piece Full Web. also i would suggest not going mesh, just cause that only adds to the flexibility which for some reason costs more

I have a rawling hoh first base mitt and a pro prefferred outfield glove. When i got my 44 first base mitt i didnt get the kip leather because i orefer the hoh leather.
A catchers mitt is gonna be tough to break in but if he’s a tough kid and he’s catching a lot you should probably invest in another nice mitt like an a2000 or heart of the hide from Rawlings. If He doesn’t play a ton then it may be a good idea to get a 44 signature series just know it’s gonna be super stiff. If you’re genuinely worried that the stiffness will be a problem than a gold glove elite catchers model would probably be your best bet Hope this helps!

They get a ton of orders and even more around now because of Black Friday and Christmas I’ve heard people say it took over two months though which really sucks

I don’t think pro stuff is worth it it only makes it take longer to break in and the kip palm would only be worth it if you really want a specific color inside the palm

I’d say you should probably go 12.5” with an H web then the rest is just up to you to make a sick glove. That’s just my advice though in the end it’s all up to you!

just get it in the baseball section, the pocket is deep enough to use for softball and the gloves will actually be true to size...I use a 12" I-web 574 for softball and it can swallow the ball
My 44 is all dyed leather and the 44 website says use 44 glove run so it doesn’t mess up the leather but I only have Nokona, is Nokona okay to use on my all dyed leather 44?

I bought two 44 Gloves and they will not fit on my hand....a wooden spoon handle will not go in the fingers, but 44 Gloves says they are mine now. I threw them away.

It isn’t gonna add any quality, I honestly think I prefer the normal liner but the kip can add some cool looks to the glove
