Two guys, after the dog walking, trying their best to polish a turd.
Trevor Keegan, the Michigan OL, said that when the game started the OSU defense was yelling at them, by the middle of the third quarter, they were yelling at each other.
Those 5 star players aren't football players, they quit......

@@jamesbowen8960 I don’t think I agree the 06 Michigan team was better. Not saying they weren’t good. You’ll see more O lineman from this team in the nfl than that one. For sure the receivers were better. I’ll take McCarthy over Henne, who was neither able to run nor terribly intelligent. You can’t beat our current special teams. I could go on. Above all, this team is more of a team. Don’t forget, this 06 contingent contains a lot of the same prima donnas that led us to a loss against App St the following year

This is why I am so comfortable with Michigan's approach to NIL. No promises of money up front. Players have to EARN it. I know, sounds ridiculous right?! Imagine having to earn your 💰🤑 on the college field.
Michigan is finding guys with heart that are getting snubbed by the OSU's of the world as recruits. Ronnie Bell, Rod Moore, Mike Saintristil, Luke Schoonmaker, Mike Morris, Micheal Barrett, D.J. Turner II, and Colston Loveland were all three stars. Hassan Haskins was too.

Just saw that Cade is gonna end up at Iowa. Honestly, I'm so glad he didn't go to MSU or Ohio - not just because I'd hate to root against whatever team he plays on, but because Iowa also has that kind of mental toughness (even though the offense has always been shit, but that's actually not a culture problem for once - that's SOLELY on Kirk's shoulders).

Hey, great commentary. I'll lay it out plain. Winning went to the coach's head. Day is not Urban Myer, and he did not build the teams that came before his tenure. There's more than one way to play and win the game of football. Ohio State is stuck in one gear, assuming that they are going to win--using the same offensive strategies that have been mostly successful for about a decade. Well, Michigan has figured them out. Without a stout running game, Ohio State is a bag of wind that thinks it is going to win by "Tyson" effect, just by walking on the field. Ohio State is still a good team. They only lost 1 game for crying out loud, but as long as they think they can just air raid Michigan, Michigan will continue to beat them.

Corum, CJ, hell Harrison Jr. now has a better claim to the Heisman than Caleb Williams…

You guys really don’t make any sense. Criticize the oline for not being tough:
RBs averaged 5.7 yards per carry.
CJ had all day to throw.
What does toughness have to do with blown coverages?
What does toughness have to do with the busted runs due to Uber aggressive play-calling?
What does toughness have to do with dropped passes?
Only thing that showed a lack of toughness (mentally) was Gee Scott’s dumb penalty. And they took a 1st and 35 to 4th and 5 after a dumb run play on first. Team wanted to go for it.
All of the issues were due to coaching and execution. Anyone talking about toughness can’t formulate a coherent thought based on actually game play.
Michigan had mind-f’d OSU fans and has them repeating their language it’s hilarious to me because it’s clear the fans are soft.

TRUTH: look at the first 3 games of OSU; the QB was hot. THen look at the last 5 games... Stroud was HORRIBLY off his game and distracted by personal issues. DAY, incapable of sound reasoning and good coaching decision making... KEPT Stroud and refused to 'replace him' 3 and 4 games ago.. which would have helped Stroud to get his life right and realize He was not the God of OSU at all.... plus, another QB could have ignited the offense with more consistent play. .. the clear writing was on the wall before Michigan entered the Shoe... Stroud was so messed up in his personal life and relationship; distracted, not focused and off... that another QB could have carried the day. THREE games before Mich. were won by the OSU defense, not Stroud at all For the Mich. side, they knew all they had to do was 'defeat OSU defense' and victory would be theirs... just that 1 thing only. .... OSU fans are both in denial of The obvious, Brian Day does not have the sound mind or reasoning to make right coaching decisions for OSU. He has repeatedly 'down played' other coaching staff warnings about Stroud. .. TWO years of losses to Michigan, WITH lose of national titles... are simply 'clear' that Day is Not capable. His first year He 'rode' the good building and leadership of his predecessor, but now the obvious is clear... OSU is 'declining' in every way... both in offensive lackluster, and in revenue. IN fact, did anyone NOTICE the super cold game before Mich..where the OSU bench players were 'disinterested, indifferent and Not motivated at all'... .many expected OSU to lose, but their defense won the day... barely... while the other team's bench were MOtivated, Active and charged to win......... Not ONE single sports person had the 'clear minded Integrity' to recognize OSU for the last 5 games as a team, and their QB... were simply low-balling their own game vitality and focus... WHY.. .because sports announcers get bonuses and more pay to 'hype' OSU even when for 5 prior games they were POOR in Offense.... the stats from first 3 games to last 5, as averages, are very clear. The Sports Talkers BETRAYED the OSU fans, and blinded the coaching staff into error.... for money and to promote game revenues over the 'clear signs' that OSU offense was down in motivation, in focus, and in pay performance for five whole games....... now.. AGAIN... the Sports casters are LyING to us all... talking about STOUD and OSU as if they were really 'capable' for this coming game. It will be a bust, and a total route... OSU will 'at delayed long coming fact' be recognized as a NON_playoff level team.. and Day and his denying his own key couching staff of QB issues.. will have to answer for his 'selfish pride and blindness' to the sound coaching leadership that is lacking at OSU under Brian Day.

Culture & toughness, 100%. No doubt all 5 OSU recruiting classes on that field were ranked significantly higher than their opponent. 2nd straight year with the better QB and vastly better WR core. Even worse result. Some disagree there was quitting involved, but it looked like it. Problem is guys coming to OSU excited about what OSU can do for them. NFL, NIL, etc. In the last 10 yrs how many NFL eligible guys came back to OSU like Hutchinson or Corum? This year is the first year I noticed significant numbers coming back that could have gone. There hasn't been the commitment to OSU and teammates vs self interest. Maybe that will change this year with the number of returners coming back w a chip on their shoulder. It won't be easy. Michigan returns most of their offense that looked really good at the end of the year less JJ's two pick 6's. They will likely be the most potent offense in the Big 10.

You can't buy heart. As someone who lives in Ohio, there is nothing to do in this state unless you like boating. Pulling these 5* recruits away from their families as they are hoping to get a good draft pick can backfire. I realize this isn't an Ohio exclusive thing, but willpower is always the most important thing in a competition and you need to be healthy mentally, physically, and socially in order to perform at the top level consistently.
I think Ohio needs to get back to people that actually want to play for OSU, not "entitled" to. Aside from that, coaches need to find a way to get their players to care. OSU gave up on the batted away would-be touchdown catch. They ran the better route, made the better pass, but did not match up to the effort Michigan had.
Michigan fan here, get it together OSU!

I expected a scene like when, was it Deon Sanders (?), did his stomping on the star after beating the cowboys. Nope, just kept walking away. I do have to point out that that is no worse than a coach saying he's going to "hang a 100" on a team that they know is way behind them in talent. So much crap has been slung by both programs over the years that no locker room bulletin board material is going to notch it up anymore than it already is. Personally, I love this rivalry. Especially when both teams are at the same level. Ya'll might not agree with me but I don't think it means nearly as much when one or the other is much worse because of talent, coaches or whatever. The last two years mean more to me because tOSU was at the top of heap. Last thing: Winning is earned, it's not a birthright. As players, you know exactly what I mean. Take care!

Can we say this? Recruiting 5 star finesse skill players is not the same as recruiting 3, 4 star players and turning them into monsters. That's an attitude and coaching thing. Relying on those stars without coaching them up to an even higher level of skill and toughness is wasting those players. They're spoiled. The expectation has to be higher and the training has to be deeper. Simple as that. Between scrappy and tough and talented and skilled, which do you choose? Harbaugh chose scrappy and tough, but he had to because he couldn't get those 5 star players. Well, he's getting them now. OSU chose talented and skilled but forgot that this is still football and not pitch and catch ball.

OSU and UM are both great programs with extensive historical success. I'm sure OSU will get past this current lag at some point, it's only a question of when. I’m a lifelong UM fan. I’ve watched this rivalry for 40 years. OSU punches you in the mouth. Period. First snap. That’s the OSU I’ve watched. They are tough, physical, and full of pride. Team. That mindset doesn’t seem to exist right now. The game plan was terrible. OSU got away from everything they do, in some effort to beat Michigan at their own game. Last year’s game got into the coaching staff’s head, and they tried to out slam UM. That team isn’t built that way. It’s built on finesse. As soon as I seen the cover zero scheme, I knew it was over. Don Brown (former DC) at Michigan had us in that nonsense. It’s great when you are head and shoulders better physically. These two programs are closer than that. No one could have survived that scheme. Next year will decide Ryan Day’s fate. Fair or unfair. Great show guys. Great breakdowns of the non measurable’s. GO BLUE!
