Agreed. Michigan has scored enough, even against OSU, to win most games. 62-39? 39 points should win you nearly every game. In the last 2 games, they only scored 3 and then 6 more than that and 39 wins both OSU games the last 2 seasons. In most of the losses, it was the defense (read: Don Brown) that couldn't stop the good teams.

Can you punish any of those teams for having to play an extra Championship game? - The 3 undefeated teams are a lock no matter what happens this weekend. USC could possibly suffer another extremely close loss vs Utah and still stay ahead of OhioState for getting smokedvat home. USC is just as attractive as OSU with just as good a resume, and they both beat Notre Dame. …..The playoffs may already be decided. Unless USC gets blown out

I love Michigan, but to say the big ten runs through A2 might be going a little too far. We have beaten them twice this past decade. However I feel that the tides are beginning to turn. Saturday was proof of that. I don’t think any Michigan fan really expected them to completely dominate and humiliate OSU. Excited for this team and the future of this program.
The only reason those other teams put those points up against us is I believe that we were definitely saving plays for Ohio State on both sides and that looks like it came true because they could not stop us at all
They were basic passing plays any team would call except for the one we did with the Tebow jump pass which they said was meant for Corum to throw but he obviously couldn't because he was injured.

That TCU game was an outlier Michigan did simple mistakes and if they played again like today Michigan would not make those mistakes again. If CFB or football had a best of 7 series like Basketball, Hockey and Baseball Michigan would win the series vs TCU.
Given that if Michigan plays Georgia they’ll have several weeks to prepare for TCU and Georgia or USC (or OSU for some reason) they’ll have all the tools they need. It’s pretty clear they’ve got great coaching, I think given that long to game plan they’ll be okay against the TEs in Georgia, although you can’t really shut them down, you can limit them. That would mean looking beyond the team at hand a bit and that scares me, but I feel like Michigan wants Georgia again, I just don’t know if they’re going to overlook their Semifinal opponent by doing that… or Purdue for that matter… although I don’t think this team will have that kind of problem with OSU out of the way.
And as far as UM breaking OSU…this is the difference between college and nfl. NFL is so refined no team is ever “broken” mentally. I’m college this is possible.

Ryan Day said that he spent an entire year preparing for Michigan, and his team lost by a worse margin and almost in a worse way this year than last year. How would he answer this question: What 2 things did he get wrong during his prep in the last year? It seems that his defensive scheme was a 7-2-2, which allowed Michigan to have seven plays of 15 - 85 yards.
It's patently clear that Harbaugh is a MUCH better coach than Ryan Day. His comment about Day being born on third and thinking he hit a triple is dead-on balls accurate.
I could care if radio hosts compliment us. What does that matter? Why do some people need or starve for that validation? Never got that. Validation is winning the games and winning championships. Every team to make it to a natty takes away the ONE thing the other team does well. last year georgia stopped michigans running game and the game was over. this year with the new qb things will be different. i am not a fan of the sec, or the big ten. i am a homer who roots for Oregon and i see michigan winning it this year. the way michigans defense is built they have the hybrid players in the middle of the field to keep up with those tight ends. If georgia wins its because they come up with a plan b. not the tight ends. dont sleep on CALEB WILLIAMS AND USC. they have gotten better each and every week this year. especially on defense once they got their star player back and in full health. not the handicapped guy we have seen. you look at the games he played this year and they on average give up 13 points less. caleb williams is the best player nationally and HE CAN PUT A TEAM ON HIS BACK FOR ONE GAME. I'd rather have Michigan as the dominant force in the Big Ten that we need to take down than an invincible Ohio State. I like MSU's match-up better against them than against Ohio State. They'lltry to run it more and that's what MSU's defense has usually been best at stopping. And it's an easier game to wake up for. It also would show that throwing money at an elite recruiter who is a bad tactical coach can work and it seems like that's what we've done with Mel Tucker.

There is no universe where Bama gets in the playoff. They are a 2 loss team, and currently have 1 ranked win under their belt which was against a Texas team without their starting qb for majority of the game. I think Georgia, Michigan, and TCU are playoff locks regardless of what happens in their championship games. If USC loses, OSU will take their place. OSU has a top 10 road win and an 11-1 record. Not sure why everyone is writing off TCU if they lose on Saturday. They have beaten several ranked opponents and are undefeated. Bama does not have a single impressive win, and has struggled against mediocre competition.
Urban Meyer on the pre game show and in his analysis of the game said "we" in reference to Ohio State which erased all impartiality. He wants back in as coach but unfortunately that ship has already sailed. Ohio state, which has 11 5 star recruits on their roster (twice as many as all the other big ten teams combined) is starting to lose out in recruiting to the other big named teams in the country. If I'm a michigan fan here's what I would be worried about when it comes to the big ten championship game purdue has a real knack for knocking off top ranked teams ( seriously no one else has taken down more top 5 teams while unranked) I'd be concerned with am I getting the boilers which you should bomb or am I getting the spoilers who as previously mentioned knocks off top 5 teams routinely

- Kicking myself I was just too lazy to put $$ down on Michigan preseason +900 to win the Big10. That was delicious money
- These playoffs might already be locked. Depends on what the committee wants. End of Season your top 4 are undefeated Georgia-Michigan-TCU- and 1 loss USC. Can you punish any of those teams for having to play an extra Championship game?
- The 3 undefeated teams are a lock no matter what happens this weekend. USC could possibly suffer another extremely close loss vs Utah and still stay ahead of OhioState for getting smokedvat home. USC is just as attractive as OSU with just as good a resume, and they both beat Notre Dame.

I love Michigan, but to say the big ten runs through A2 might be going a little too far. We have beaten them twice this past decade. However I feel that the tides are beginning to turn. Saturday was proof of that. I don’t think any Michigan fan really expected them to completely dominate and humiliate OSU. Excited for this team and the future of this program.

Given that if Michigan plays Georgia they’ll have several weeks to prepare for TCU and Georgia or USC (or OSU for some reason) they’ll have all the tools they need. It’s pretty clear they’ve got great coaching, I think given that long to game plan they’ll be okay against the TEs in Georgia, although you can’t really shut them down, you can limit them. That would mean looking beyond the team at hand a bit and that scares me, but I feel like Michigan wants Georgia again, I just don’t know if they’re going to overlook their Semifinal opponent by doing that… or Purdue for that matter… although I don’t think this team will have that kind of problem with OSU out of the way.
Even though Mike despises Michigan and their fanbase, I always come back like an abused dog to see him talk well of Michigan.

How would he answer this question: What 2 things did he get wrong during his prep in the last year? It seems that his defensive scheme was a 7-2-2, which allowed Michigan to have seven plays of 15 - 85 yards.

I thought as a Michigan fan we had no chance against OSU all year in Columbus. I'm 20 years old and every time we've gone down to Columbus we either get destroyed or lose in a close and tight game. Boy was I happy that I was wrong. Even my mom said they were gonna beat OSU and she was right. She doesn't even watch sports that much as well. I honestly thought after the 1st quarter they were done for. Boy was I wrong. Mike is saying everything right. U of M is back. Like it or not. Every team to make it to a natty takes away the ONE thing the other team does well. last year georgia stopped michigans running game and the game was over. this year with the new qb things will be different. i am not a fan of the sec, or the big ten. i am a homer who roots for Oregon and i see michigan winning it this year. the way michigans defense is built they have the hybrid players in the middle of the field to keep up with those tight ends. If georgia wins its because they come up with a plan b. not the tight ends. dont sleep on CALEB WILLIAMS AND USC. they have gotten better each and every week this year. especially on defense once they got their star player back and in full health. not the handicapped guy we have seen. you look at the games he played this year and they on average give up 13 points less. caleb williams is the best player nationally and HE CAN PUT A TEAM ON HIS BACK FOR ONE GAME. I'd rather have Michigan as the dominant force in the Big Ten that we need to take down than an invincible Ohio State. I like MSU's match-up better against them than against Ohio State. They'lltry to run it more and that's what MSU's defense has usually been best at stopping. And it's an easier game to wake up for.

I never thought once last year we could be Georgia in the playoffs but this year is different. We do have a chance at a natty.
There is no universe where Bama gets in the playoff. They are a 2 loss team, and currently have 1 ranked win under their belt which was against a Texas team without their starting qb for majority of the game. I think Georgia, Michigan, and TCU are playoff locks regardless of what happens in their championship games. If USC loses, OSU will take their place. OSU has a top 10 road win and an 11-1 record. Not sure why everyone is writing off TCU if they lose on Saturday. They have beaten several ranked opponents and are undefeated. Bama does not have a single impressive win, and has struggled against mediocre competition.
Urban Meyer on the pre game show and in his analysis of the game said "we" in reference to Ohio State which erased all impartiality. He wants back in as coach but unfortunately that ship has already sailed. Ohio state, which has 11 5 star recruits on their roster (twice as many as all the other big ten teams combined) is starting to lose out in recruiting to the other big named teams in the country. And that will be their end. When the giant looses his grip from around your neck, he is no longer a giant.
They may lose out some recruits to Michigan, but no other team since these other teams have more problems than OSU.

As much as i don't want OSU or Bama for that matter as a Michigan fan if you look a the best wins from either team according to the ap pole at the time. OSU has the far better resume than Bama. Bama's best win is at #21 Texas. OSU's best win is at #8 Penn St. Also OSU HAS Beat every opponent by double digits, Bama has played 5 one score game's this year and is 3-2 in those game's. This is not the same Bama team this year that we have seen in year's past. If TCU or USC lose it should be OSU in the #4 spot as much as i hate that team.

1: Michigan still has to beat Purdue. If there’s a let down game next week, we’re going to be talking about how this team is getting smashed as at best the 4 seed in the playoff.
2: OSU can and will adjust. They are 22-0 against teams not named Michigan in their last 22 games, and 45-3 against non Michigan teams under Day including Bowl/Playoff games.
3: There’s talk on ESPN that Michigan won’t be allowed to get into the playoff because Warde Manuel is on the committee and they won’t allow a team to get into the playoff while there’s a committee member from their school on the committee because it will ruin the integrity of the committee and make them look biased for putting in Michigan while Warde is serving.
So lets go out and smash Purdue, and force the committee to have to leave out a 13-0 Michigan team for a 10-2 Alabama or 11-1 OSU team that we already beat Head to Head before we even think about worrying about Georgia or TCU or USC.
We have to make the playoffs and we can not allow the committee any remote opportunity to leave us out whatsoever because they’re already looking for every single excuse possible to do so bc we’re in the B1G and played a garbage ass schedule and almost got smacked in the mouth by Illinois who’s not even close to being ranked.
