A dehumidifier creates heat. Get a carbon filter and motor. Set it so when temp/humidity is to high, it pumps the air out. Works well for my orchid tent!

Thanks. I didn't end up adding a dehumidifier. I put a fan to pump in air from the basement and both humidity and temperature stay within my desired range.

Tent is looking good, I Love the journey that you are having with the orchids. nice assortment of varieties. I haven't a grow tent, so I am learning with you.

I'm very pleased. I ran the tent without the orchids for a few days, and I'm trying to be conservative with the light exposure they're getting. While I'm getting new growth, we will see if they're getting enough light to bloom. Only time will determine that. I'm currently running the light for 11hours...up from 10 when I started.

How big is this tent and how many watts is that led drawing? Also, I've grown under lights indoors for 20 years. With one or two exceptions, there is nothing I haven't been able to bloom due to insufficient day night temperature differential, and one of those..if you go see my videos on p schilleriana, you'll get the details, but as soon as I took that out of my warm tent, it bloomed just fine in regular house temperatures. I don't think you will need to worry about getting cooler air in if you need heaters to get to 80 degrees. This is the first video of yours I've seen and I'm guessing you've changed it around. If you'd like to see what has worked very well for me setup-wise which is similar to your situation, for the last..at least 5 years without changes, I've got a grow room tour video. You are exactly the kind of person I made my channel for.

Hi...thanks for your comment and info on your experiences. I'll check out your stuff. The light is rated as pulling 280-300W, and the tent is 5ft (W) x 5ft (D) x 8ft (H). One of the reasons I had issues without the grow tent is because I keep my house cold...often 62F in the winter, and the area with good light is limited. Brassavola Jimminey Cricket 'Super Bug" is an orchid that I could never bloom in my house but have bloomed in the tent. I have kept a fan to blow air from the basement into the tent at night, but it's partly to circulate fresh air into the space. I now keep the "daytime" temps between 76F and 79F, I think it is. In winter, my basement gets to about 60-62F, but in the summer, it's in the 66-68F range. Thanks, again...be well.

Bobby, do you mind telling us where you got those racks and are the shelves adjustable. How much heat is that led light putting out, not much if you need 2 heaters I guess. Are you outside in a garage, basement, etc.?

In a basement. Light heat is a non-factor. The metal rack came from Home Depot, but the shelves aren't adjustable. The plastic sided rack I made to the shelf heights I wanted.

Hi, the tent is 5ft wide x 5ft deep x 8ft tall. The tent can be either 7ft or 8ft tall depending on the vertical space you have. I had the space to add the included 1ft extension, so mine it 8ft tall.
