  • 2012 VW PASSAT B7 needed a rear hub bearing replacement. Had to do it with the tools on hand: 17mm for wheel bolts, 14mm XZN for brake caliper bolts, 30 TORX for brake disc and 18mm XZN for hub bolt.... and of course 2m iron pipe :)

Thanks, a little long but not complaining.I know you wanted to show the "struggles" you had. You should show a LINK to the parts you bought.

Thanks for the tip! Parts are bought from local supplier, not ordered over internet.

Болт насаживать на клей это не дело. Болт открутить надо при не снятом колесо также болт диска.Молотком бить по ключ тоже не лучший приём

what about torquing it to specs?

Hi. I did not have info of torque and probably I don't have a tool what can handle that torque. As seen, it came loose with 2m bar. Even airgun did not opened it. There was threadlock on the bolt and it went on with gentle feel... tried to copy opening torque. At least for now I have driven 15000 km and no issues.

@@garageproductions359 thank you, i am only asking because i am about to replace the rear bearing in my Passat from what i am understanding is that if we can torque it enough where the bolt is tight enough then we should be good. i just wanted to know if its worth getting the torque tools. thanks again

That didn't look like 180° after torque!

@@bassimobten7856You do need to torque it down then another 180° of "torque turn" to be within OEM specification!
