Almost all videos on YT run the Milky Way in mono, while the 'spatial movement' features are totally awesome. I had no idea it would pan and swap the stereo image of in1 and in2. I was watching this after listening to some podcasts, and forgot the speed was set to 1.25x. Was feeling rushed, trying to read the text in time on my phone, and thinking "dang, they're going hard for a demo" Hahaha.
probably because that's very typical hall reverb and whatever the algorithm hall will sound similar - maybe with different shines etc but with a huge space in mind. and room will sound like room, closed ambience. and you can't confuse it with the spring reverb etc. :)
I love this module and the idea behind it. I bought one because of this video. However (and this was mentioned by another person as well) it is extremely noisy. Some effects are mostly quite and clean but a lot of them have so much hiss. I've tried different things but nothing works. Any suggestions? Thank you~
I can't hear any of the noise/hiss in this video that is ultra-present in my module. I've done all the firmware updates and still no matter what configuration I patch with this it won't work. I bought this module after watching this video and still have hope but kind of at a loss - if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. @@ADDMIKEIX Thanks for the advice, I will definitely try this. For some FX there is no noise though, but for others it's unbearable. I'm not sure why that is but attenuating the signal coming in might help a LOT. Appreciate the tip.
@@BenWorden Wrong. You need less headroom... :-) At the back there are is an input gain toggle. Use a screwdriver and try and turnthe input level as high without it distorting. Then you don't need to max out the master knob, thus less audible noise floor.
thank you for the question. actually the LFO range was picked to a sweet spotted really usable musical values. if it will be 0, then it will not be a flanger but a short delay or something, isn't? but we could try to extend the range - in the end MODULAR itself is famous of extreme possible ranges of values
@@Endorphines That was kind of my point-- with a flanger, setting the sweep rate to zero effectively makes it a comb filter, and THAT is the effect I'm most interested in.

Having a comb filter as part of a multimode filter is a nice idea, but I've got plenty of LP/BP/HP/Notch style filters already-- what I don't have enough of is delay/reverb and similar effects-- so having a comb in that mix is far more useful to me in particular... And since delay/flanger/comb are constructed similarly for the most part, it seems like it ought to fit right in. Frankly, I think comb filtering is a bit overlooked-- running a complex oscillator through a comb filter can pull out some really interesting harmonic behaviors. And it's nice that there's one in the Grand Terminal, but.... uh... it's kinda big.... ;-)
I tried a stereo input today for the first time using a ping pong delay on the input. Is it normal that everything comes out of both outputs loosing all the stereo information? I am using the normal hall reverb.
please ensure you have panning/crossfade settings set to proper values: either reset them by pressing both buttons for 4-5 seconds or press TYPE for 2 seconds once the LED will light up PINK. Then tweak the PRESSURE knob to the center (both out 1 and 2 have equal power) and knob FEVER to the CCW (in1 goes to out 1 and in 2 goes to out 2). also be sure you are on the latest firmware airways.endorphin.es/

Mr Tessellate, In My Neighborhood, was created on the Shuttle system, Roland system 1M, and Blck Noir. There were no new modules were created at that time. BTW I was performing whole album couple of times live. Now I have a new EP coming where I slightly used the new modules and the same setup I mentioned above. And thank you.

when the trimmers are CCW, then input signal expected - modular level approx. +/-5V or 10Vpp. If trimmers are fully CW, then input signal expected = line level 1Vpp, +/-0.5V. Middle positions - somewhere in between
I'm having trouble updating on OSX Catalina :( perhaps the .command is missing a few sudo s ? cant seem to resolve this no matter how much I chown/chmod things. Any ideas?
@@sleepyron_av could you try on another computer? indeed that's a known issue with latest Catalina prohibition of launching third party scripts but we will have it on to do list shortly

Does this receive clock in any way? The manual talks about cabin fever setting "the clock division of the incoming tap/clock" but I can only see the tap button and no associated input.
Indeed we tried to make new manuals as easy as possible by cutting the deep stuff which should be present in the annex later. However all the effects in the Milky Way (2 banks) are same with same controls as in BLCK_NOIR and GRAND TERMINAL modules. Tap button works as a manual clock button and its secondary function (1 sec press) enters into clock input operation with divider selection with Fever knob (which works normally as feedback knob in primary normal mode).

Maybe you should try to give the module a bit of headroom by reducing the level of your incoming source

not FV-1. that's our own DSP algorithms, 48khz, 16 bit and lots of that effects were developed for Grand Terminal 3 years ago already

I still think this would have been better with an extal knob ... to access the "hidden "parameter
or fourth knob + jack for that parameter? yes, but then it will be fatter and not so elegant as in 6 hp

GS has digital Strong Zero VCO core installed. However you can put there analog VCO core from the Furthrrrr Generator :)
