To me this is a great channel because it doesn't matter if I'm doing the same things that Ricky is doing. I get inspired from every single video, and then go off and do my thing with a fresh outlook and an attitude that is all about having fun. That's valuable to me. In fact it's often the one thing I need the most when I'm lost in a sea of technology and options, comparing my work to others and bogged down by the myth of perfection.

Loved this! I love good reverb fx and will be starting a modular unit soon with the intention of focusing on effects (maybe I don't know enough about it, just feels like Eurorack would be a great way of including a lot of fx that are hard to find in a singular keyboard synth). Anyway it sounds great and always good to see how much joy you get out of it I get the same way!

Nice to see this... Going to get a modular system within next year - and considering starting with some effects processors. I'll do more research on these and try to check some out in person. I feel some trips to Control are gonna happen... ;)
I for one would like to see others! I preordered the Milky way silver but I run stuff different than most people I dedicate all my effect and run everything in stereo with separate FX chains on each side. Of course the modular is just one piece of the puzzle and I have ALL the Dreadbox FX and do the same chain thing with every track. It took a while to organize it all out of my way, the Milky Way helps a lot and Velcro fixed the rest! Peace Ricky, ty for the preview!

Great video, thanks for it. This module sounds really good. I'm looking for live oriented effects and filters for my live case. The Milky Way and Squawk Dirty could do the job. If you have time, a video of the Skuawk would be awesome.

I'm running two Milky Ways in series, one directly after a unique sound, and then one as a send-return, near the output.

I believe they have almost the same fx in their drum module? So if anyone wants an analog drums plus an eurorack fx in 30hp, may also check the Black Noir.

Dude: that's legit... I would want two of them before the OUT, so I could leave one mostly steady (ambiance on something in the rhythm dept) and one to modulate, mostly manually...1) price is legit 2) size is legit 3) sound quality is LEGIT! Thx!
Okay, it looks great, but what about in 2021/22, how about any other effects modules you've seen or tried? Three examples that look interesting are the Happy Nerding FX Aid XL, TipTop's ZVERB, and the Noise Engineering Digitalis series?

have you tried the erica synths duel FX? don't think it does the same effects as the Milky Way but seems interesting for the size.

endorphins told me some of the first modules had the often mentioned noise issues... fix via firmware update didnt fully fix it. so as im interested in it. do you hae any noise issues with your module? or nothing? thx

Just going to put this out there as an honest heads up to anyone thinking of buying one of these, I had to return my unit because of the noise. Don't know if you experienced this at all Ricky but it seems to be a common issue (a lot of people seem to report the same ground hum-y/2k pitched noise on muffwiggler). It's a pity cause I absolutely loved the Milky Way, super fun to play and really quick to dial in, but the noise stuck out far too much in a mix. Hoping it's down to a manufacturing mishap as I would love to grab a clean(er) one but from Endorphin.es response so far, seems it's like it's meant to be part of its character?
hmm i'll have to double check this! i haven't experienced it with mine, but i did hear some clipping running a really hot signal into it but that was me lol.

I have the same noise on mine. It's very noticeable. I thought it was my power, but I tried a different power supply and it's the only noisy module in my system. I can't hear in in this video, so I don't know if it is every module or what. Big disappointment because the features are great on the thing and I wish it worked like it should.

1 second press of type button. Turn cabin fever all the way clockwise or counter clockwise so that 2 of the 4 leds are on. And on mine at least the noise goes away, I think the noise comes from the cross fading.
@@neilmcwilliamviolins6300 Thanks for the suggestion! I did it and it helped with the noise, but I still have the high pitch hum coming from it. It's quiet, but noticeable.
Great Vid, do you have your rack on Modular Grid? I would like to build a small drum and Synth rack, but don’t know where to start, cost and brand being the to main factors, some ideas from modular grid would be great, I think it would be a great vid to put together for beginners

Hey man, just got one of the these and I love the potential BUT mine has a noticeable high pitch noise, and then white noise on some of the effects even when nothing is running through it. The support team at Endorphins have been amazing but we still haven't settled it. Have you noticed any of this on your module? None of it is coming through in this video so I wanted to check. Loads of other people saying they have the same problem online but maybe some units are free from this issue? Side question - those cables don't look like the Hosa ones you posted a link to. I love how firm those look and the short lengths are what I'm looking for - what are those?! :) Thanks bud.
I know they released an update recently that fixed the issue but mine has been good to me! Haha. Don’t know what’s the difference but I haven’t heard much
@@RickyTinez word, I've installed all the updates and it's still ringing in my ears. I'm sure it'll all work out, such a sick unit. I have the Godspeed+ too and LOVE IT, thing is a beast for such a small package.
yes unfortunately mine has also a noise at 2kHz and hamonics up - even with the latest firmware - If someone knows a solution then please let us know!
Norbert Simon I’ve been told there is a lot on the back that can turn up/down the input volume so you don’t have to crank the Volume knob on MW which I think can help noise floor issues. The update worked quite well for my unit though so I have yet to see if this trick would improve things. If I try it I’ll respond here.

Funny he didn't mention the Happy Nerding FX Aid, or FX Aid plus.... both of which are better modules.
Would love to see a shootout between this and FX Aid. I'm already sold that these are smarter choices than Pico DSP or Pico Dual FX since they have delays that can be synced, I mean, who wants _only_ unsynced delays? On paper FX Aid seems a better choice than Milky Way since price is identical but FX Aid is smaller with more effects, more physical controls without tap-for-secondary-function, and will be customizable / easily changed. With Milky Way you have to hope Endorphins may one day offer alternative firmware, because you _will_ get bored with those effects, but I am impressed they are using their own DSP instead of FV-1 one; at the end of the day whichever _sounds_ best is what I want.
Me too. I have the FX Aid XL, but not Milky Way. Happy Nerving stuff is second to none.
But FxAid has no clockable delays.

@@Lokua I don't own it but from manual I see there's only delay time. No word about clocking. That's why I'm hesitating to buy it.
@@ADHDev1234 go here and look at the delay category. You'll see there are multiple algorithms with the word sync in the title. Those are the clocked delays. fxaid.app/

ah yea! i have one of those also, really good for what it is but i find this one a bit more immediate? and easier to grab haha
