  • Welcome aboard The Mothership: Lisa Bella Donna's interconnected fleet of seven powerful Mother-32s, two percussive DFAMs, and one paraphonic Matriarch.
    This video is a glimpse into the myriad of sonic possibilities the Moog mother ecosystem can offer to musicians of all skill levels. Watch and listen as Lisa Bella Donna unleashes the vast potential of these instruments, demonstrating just how thunderous their sound can be when connected together.
    "The sequencer system in this setup is something very special and unveils so much more than meets the eye when you dig in. Then there’s the SOUND. These synths can move serious air and give you the flexibility of 10 octave oscillators, richly classic Moog filtering, and VCAs that can offer both musical dynamics and grit when you wish for it." - Lisa Bella Donna

    Lisa has to be responsible for selling tens of thousands of dollars in Moog gear with her videos. She gets the absolute most out of Moog. A truly gifted musician, and a great product.

      I’m listening through my Ampeg SVTs and it sounds killer. I also activate my flanger and delay just to see what cool sounds I can generate from her already beyond amazing sounds that she’s playing. To do that is sort of like using a granular synthesizer
      But yeah, she’s a real deal modern day synthesizer warrior. What’s interest is she lives in my state somewhere around the New River Gorge and Smokehole Caverns region…
      So to have a place in that location that’s somewhat isolated and surrounded by mountains and forest with synthesizers lining the walls… who could ask for a better scenery than that? That’s a blessing to be setup like that with her talents, and she shares that with us all

But Lisa is gifted with all three. Incredibly talented, has a complete understanding of synthesis and has mastered these machines. What an incredible performance!!

She made me get a Matriarch and I swear this is the best purchase I've ever made. Thinking about getting an extra Sub25/37 and DFAM! Thanks Moog for these great sound machines and thanks Lisa for the eternal inspiration!

      Lisa was also the reason I ended up with the Matriarch. I already had the Grandmother and several other Moog Synths. So when Moog introduced the Matriarch I told myself I didn't need to buy it. • @michaels8597
      @michaels8597 4 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      I started with an analog Roland and a sampler.There's actually no limits,except yourself,so that's why analog alone is so sought after.It's NOT for the preset crowd who just wants to turn on gear and make tracks in seconds.It's for those who want to experience analog itself,because you know when it gets all warmed up,it starts showing it's true nature.You might be there playing,and around three hours in,it just starts breathing....

    • @laurenpinschannels
      @laurenpinschannels 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      fwiw you can *emulate* this on a computer just fine, the problem isn't being able to emulate analog
      distortion sources, it's that the real hardware will have *no* digital distortion from your cpu timings or etc and will have actual knobs you can play with and stuff. if you just want the sound at all, vcv rack is amazing; if you want vcv rack but it doesn't have crackle (actually a pretty tall order for moderately complicated vcv patches), *then* the real hardware is a must have. (it would be so scary performing live with rack tbh.)
      I do think people should know what they're buying when they get a hardware synth, though: a legacy. that hardware is gonna keep performing extremely well for a loooong time. and it'll be a fun, very powerful toy you can go back to to get inspiration.

    WOOOOOOWWW.....I love this.....Lucky me, thirty Years ago I visited a friend who had a very well equipped Studio in Munich. After a Party I went down to his studio where he had a huge MOOG. I experimented the whole night 'till 11 AM, drunk a whole Bottle Whisky and was so amazed of this unique Synthesizer. I still have the sound in my mind, heart, ear and soul. It took only an hour or so to figure out how to get space sound out of it and two more, how to combine different oszi's and sequencers. And I am not an Keyboard player. It was so much fun I'll never forget. The possibilities are infinite and there IS a huge difference between Analog and Digital. I can tell because I play a 1972 Strat on a 1973 Marshall stack and use analog Gear.
    Yes, I do have a question Lisa: What are the equipped towers in the background? Is this a Showcase of MOOG's Gear?
    Thank You very much Lisa for this excellent audible Business card from MOOG 👍
    And thanx to YT I stumbled over Lisa Bella Donna and MOOG. Insta-subbed both 💕 .....Lucky me 😁
