It was a GREAT IDEA the total repaint because the original paint looks like a toy. Nice job; I am making mine for my dining room using a cheap Hero Series

Beautiful work!!! I wish I had bought this when it was out! Now out of production I guess I am SOL. Plus no one and I mean no one is selling this on the secondary market. There are plenty of Deagostini Millennium Falcon kits but if you're looking for an X wing...NADA...NOTHING!

I thank ye most kindly Nelson. Yeah, it's become a rare thing and with the difficulties they are having in their supply chain lately and other issues i'm sure, it's a diffcult model to come by sadly. There's always hope though and I hope you can get your mitts on one. Absolutely amazing! Can you tell us what all the aurebesh lettering is? I couldn't make it out enough in the video to read it.
Many thanks Daniel. There's a lot of it, very few completely appropirate for the subject matter. I can tell you that the text in front of the blue arrow on the bottom below the cockpit reads "Proton torpedo explody thing loading hatch. Pointy end forward this time Carl" and on the other side, there's one that reads "Pilots spotchka tank fill valve here". There are some things I don't take too seriously including myself :) All the best, ILM

That's amazing. Where did you get the rod and base from?
Thanks Marc. The rod was a lump of 20mm brass barstock I turned down in my lathe. The base was just laminated 12mm MDF, satin black paint and self adhesive aluminium foil trim. All the best, ILM
