The problem in Thailand is the immigration. Every year you have to apply for new visa. You can only apply one month before you old visa expire but it takes 6 weeks before you get the new one... You have no rights whatsoever even if you are married and have kids. Well I live here also, but anyway I think other countries give you some advantages at least. Don't know about Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos is better in that aspect.
