Comrades Marathon Time Predictions

A collection for formulas and ideas to predict a target time for the Comrades Marathon. Very useful to get an idea and realistic expectation for your Comrades finish time.

Sal lekker wees as mens 'n groot stats analise kon doen met al die hardlopers se kwalifiserings tye en dan die formules toe te pas met hulle comrades tye.

Hi Andre,
Riegel's is not very good: My marathon PB is 3:23:38 (50k PB = 4:18:42) and I averaged or easily run 3: 45 - 3:55, and my best Comrades was 9:36:42.
So maybe I'm just not cut out for the very long runs, but yes, I wish I could get a Bill Rowan medal and never could. Surely tried, but just blown....
I think Bruce is closer to a very good time prediction! However, the Tim Noakes table is the best one to use!!!

I was wondering if you use Rigel's formula with perfect pacing (e.g. start as slow as you should) if it will be more accurate? But of course, most marathons we run are a lot easier than the 1st half of the Up (or even Down) Comrades route.
