The stand-off posts are interesting. I did the Buy Stuff 19in BBH mod a few weeks ago and they have you use double sided tape to mount the PCB housing backwards to the monitor where the PCB is completely open to the air. So, apparently Buy Stuff knows something. I was actually thinking of adding an additional cooling fan and maybe venting the cab a bit more. Could be overkill but would be worth it if it prevents PCB damage. At some point getting these 1up PCBs fixed or replaced could become an issue down the line.
I have this machine and im onto my 5th pcb as they just keep dying on me. The support form the supplier has been great but im sick of the machine always not working
Mine just did this, I like the no riser idea and the height is good but it says loading… then briefly goes blank then loading… again and stays there. We played it hard for a few weeks but just over a month old so hopefully a1up can fix it for us being in Canada and not the US
@thecornercade Do you know what version of the software gets flashed onto the pcb (hold both button on power on to check)? Mine reads 2020-11-20. I'm wondering if I need a reflash as I'm having gun issues.
It's not an overheating issue. My Pac-Man Deluxe did the same thing, and I barely played it. Literally, not even an hour of playtime, sometimes on for ambiance since I bought it back in October. It's been off for a month or so. I turned it on a couple of weeks ago, and it showed just the loading screen. I emailed 1Up and bought a new PCB. I asked them what caused it. They said this: "Please understand that the electronics have an unpredictable life. Some fail in a few days, whereas some last for years. It depends on many factors, including usage, power, and weather conditions, etc." I also have nine 1Ups and have sold others and never vented the board or once had any issues. I don't know if it's smart plug-related, a power surge, or just a fluke. 🤷🏼♂️ if it is an over heating issue just let the board dangle. The wires will hold it. It weighs nothing.
I also did the Buy Stuff 19” upgrade. Pcb reversed for better air flow. Also added 2 GRS Shotguns. Over kill I know. Such amazing quality tho. If my PCB dies it’ll make it easier to do a PC mod. GRS are compatible as any Sinden gun. Get more modern Big Buck Games on my cab.
@@pablitorentas4217 I would send that PCB back to RK one of her contact them because what’s happening I think is it’s like either overheating or hitting a malfunction in the PCB and you like it. Send you a new one.
Mine did this after about 6 months , they want around $100 to replace , so i spent $150 and modded it with the retro shooter , because i already had one , but i do miss Buck Hunter
That’s a good question, length wise they are an inch in height, that if you take the current screws out that hold the PCB in place that’s the thread size that they are.
That’s a tough call honestly it could have just been a couple cabs affected but yeah maybe wait? I can let everyone know more months down the road to see if this was a fix of the PCB!

Yeah I would go all in with every possible cooling solution, can always be better safe than sorry 👊🏼

Cant find anywhere to buy a PCB for my buck hunter pro. Im a second owner so cant get replacement from 1 up

Had this issue sent to to get flashed, it's loads now, but the guns don't work. Any advice on how to proceed troubleshooting?
@@andrewwalker8006 are you able to calibrate the guns at all?

What about when it boots up & plays for 2-3 min then shuts off ? Consistently.

I think I’m going to mount mine on a price of plexiglass reversed so it open to the air and ad a quiet pc fan that will blow on it. Can’t hurt.
