Great to see this working with Big Buck Hunter...that is what I was curious about. Also curious about the Arcade1UP pinball. Since it does 720p, if it has LDVS connection, may be able to connect this up and get a bigger screen on the pinball.
@@therealsmilebit I'll probably try that one tomorrow. Though given how tight the playfield body panels are, I expect 27" LCD would be the only possibly "upgraded" size option that would maybe fit.

This is really neat especially for those who find the screen too small for Buck Hunter. This is going to do wonders for the secondary markets now with people making kits to turn your arcade into an 85 inch wide display haha

Now i just need to learn how to stick a larger monitor into the cab without me breaking everything. Would appreciate any pointers or good tutorials to watch!

This is a must for a light gun cabinet if you ask me. I couldn't see playing light gun games on a 17 inch. Its nice that the image is stretched on widescreen monitors. I hope that Arcade1Up will consider adding larger monitors for light gun cabinets since you have to stand farther away than normal. 20 inches still seems too small but its far better than a 17 inch. It would be cool if this creates a demand for larger 4:3 monitors to be made again.
I'm a huge buck hunter fan and I was thinking the arcade screen seems a bit small. I'm thinking a 42 inch would be ideal for me. Great video thanks for sharing!
This should lend itself well to multiple PCB's in the same cabinet. I wanted to attempt it but it looks like the adapters will take weeks to get to the USA from all vendors that currently have stock.
Nice setup bro, cool to see it can be played on something than the ‘baby’ screen it comes with, lol. A game like that definately needs a bigger option. CoolToy, I can pull off the 120 screen gameplay :) Such a cool Mod! I hope Arcade1up sees this and considers a 20 inch monitor in a newer iteration of their Big Buck Hunter and future Lightgun games line. I would absolutely buy in at that size. vgv
It super easy, and it's a great solution for upgrading all those new cabinet that have online gameplay, without having to replace the PCB and losing that feature!
Well now might be the time to sell my Pro and try this out. The only few mods left I would think is: 1 - fitting the internals into the shells of an actual arcade shotguns. 2 - finding drivers or a way to use the guns with other PC games if possible. This also would be cool to use in a "free play" arcade environment with a much bigger screen.

I just picked up a BBH arcade cab and love it, but need a bigger screen for sure. Where did you order your LVDS converter from? It’s sold out on Amazon and the geekworm site looks a little suspect. Just wanna make sure I don’t get ripped off!
This changes everything. But now here’s a question. Can you install an in-line scan line generator to give cabinets that didn’t come with scan line filters that “code mystics” extra touch that some cabinets could benefit from? The TMNT cabinet is a perfect example of where I’m going with this.

Do you have a like to the HDMI to DVI adapter you are using? I have a cable but I’m having issues with it and would like to use the same adapter you are using
Great Mod! The Dell quality doesnt look as great compared to the BOE but size wise is Perfect. I think a newer dell model 2010 or newer with HDMI hookups with atleast 1080p would do the cab justice.
So you seem very tech savvy, and I have a question about this cabinet. Do you happen to know what the little on and off switch on the back of the screen panel does?
I know you listed some cabs it works with at the start.....do you happen to know if it works with Golden Tee? I would love to get a larger monitor in my Golden Tee cab.
Just double check and see if your stock monitor has BOE branding, if so, you can use this lvds to hdmi board to upgrade your monitor. I can't remember which one Golden Tee has off the top of my head.
Very cool and we might be interested in doing this, but when upgrading to a larger monitor.... I've seen where you can get the appropriate monitor mounts, but what do you do about the bezel?
Which TVs will this work with? I tried a couple of videos and it would not work. I want to add about a 40 inch screen to my arcade one up game. Can you recommend some actual model numbers and brands of TVs that will work?
My monitor has a yellow color on the colors that should be white? I don't know how to fix this? I tried all the settings and the monitor is fine when it's hooked to anything else??
How does the gun register if there isn’t a screen behind it? The camera in the gun just registers the image and not something to do with the pixels or video?
I’m no expert by any means but I think all you need with the sinden light gun if the boarder on the outside for the guns so know the “area”. I don’t think I would have anything to do with lcd screens or pixels since he got it to work on the projector but i am 100% guessing here lol
Great video as always! Personally I'm happy with the current screen size on my BBH. But my question is for larger screens did you notice you had to stand back even further for the lightguns to recognize the white border? On the current screen size you have to stand 15" away - does that mean at a 34" inch screen you have to stand 30" away? Not a big deal, but if some modders are thinking of doing this in tight spaces they will have to consider standing distances.
What model is your TV in this video? Is there a specific aspect ratio or resolution we need to keep in mind when selecting a TV for this job? I have tried 2 different TVs and I still receive a no input signal
LVDS to HDMI board supports these inputs when you set the board to each particular mode. Double 8, Support 1080P (1920*1080) Single 8,Support 720P/768P/960P

My monitor has a yellow color on the colors that should be white? I don't know how to fix this? I tried all the settings and the monitor is fine when it's hooked to anything else??
The cable you connect to it. Does that come with the geek board? Or is that already in the big buck pcb?
My cable came with the geekworm board
Could this be used to add an external monitor on golden tee but also keep the stock monitor in use as well?
no, if I remember correctly Golden Tee uses the older monitor brand that wouldn't work with this board
@@cooltoy do you know of a way to accomplish what I'm wanting?
Did you have to set the jumpers to anything specific on the board? Mine came with no jumpers set, and I cant get it to work on 5 different TVs.
question: since the rifles are usb connected, can they work on a PC for similar games or can they be modded to work with a PC?
Here’s the real question:
Will it work on A1Up pinball?
What model is your TV in this video? Is there a specific aspect ratio or resolution we need to keep in mind when selecting a TV for this job? I have tried 2 different TVs and I still receive a no input signal
LVDS to HDMI board supports these inputs when you set the board to each particular mode.
Double 8, Support 1080P (1920*1080)
Single 8,Support 720P/768P/960P
Thanks for getting back to me! How do I change the mode on the board? Haven’t found good instructions
Just found in the documentation but I’m set to default (double 8). My 1080p tv still reads no signal. Do only certain TVs work?
Did the 20” monitor seem a good bit bigger?
Also, what are people paying for this monitor?
Doug, you da man...👍🏻😎
