Your positivity and willingness to chat with anyone is contagious! As an introvert you've made me want to go out and talk to strangers. I loved this vlog. I couldn't think of a more lovely place to live. ❤️
I was born and raised in Chichester and still live here! It's an amazing little city tucked away between the coast and the south downs so it has managed to stay relatively hidden and because of its geographic location can't be expanded too much on so has stayed small. Appreciate your time in Chi because there are not many places in England as beautiful and peaceful as here!
Oh I just found your this Vlog! And your comments. We are off to Chichester tomorrow and its potentially a place for us to move but Im very concerned about this area - we are a family of 4 ( young kids) coming from Midlands but it seems Chichester looks quiet a old city in terms of population. Im worried not being dynamic for young families. Its very white dominant ( we are mix family) anyway its the dynamic of it that worries me! What do you think? Im totally confused...
I adore your area. It is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for the tour. You remind me of myself with your love of out-of-the-way gardens and small shops. I am from one of the older cities on the eastern half of the US, Richmond, Virginia. I loved exploring it when I was younger and especially afterwards when my daughter was growing up. In early spring, my daughter Leslie and I would pick wild growing daffodils in a local woodsy area and bring a large bouquet to the public library just a few blocks from home and surprise the librarian to decorate her desk. My daughter, though now 28-years-old and married, still loves to park the car and go exploring on foot. And I'm with you, there is nothing better than dunking Scottish shortbread in hot tea with cream. Yum.
Thanks for the tour of charming Chichester. I could live in a place like this and be happy forever! I toured all over the UK recently and it felt like home. Later I discovered my DNA is 70% English/ Welsh so I guess that's why! I love Lavender, too. And.. you are lovely inside and out. So relax and enjoy your life!
Same Katelyn! I always loved England and felt a real "pull" from that place while I was there. After DNA testing came about Ancestry said I was 90% English/Welsh. No wonder!
@@jeffmorse645 Those DNA tests are pointless because it depends how far back you go and DNA doesn't determine where you feel at home lol, that's just idiocy.
Hi! This is so strange. I live in Chichester. This is the first and probably only vlog I'll ever see of where I live! It's so strange! I love walking down the canal and in Bishops Gardens - it was great to actually see a vlog of Chi! TH-cam has finally arrived in town! YEES! 💛
Thank you for sharing this. My French mother was an exchange student to Cambridge and was assigned to live with an Irish Catholic family there in Chichester, back in the late 1950's. She has often told us many, many stories of her time living in Chichester and has said they were some of the best of her life. It's nice to put a real live picture with some of the places she thought were so special, so many years ago. My mother turned 80 last month but has a very sharp mind and still recalls her time there. Can't wait to show her your vlog here in Tennessee. Anyway, I enjoy all your channels. Keep up the good work.
You did great filming in a small town! When you weren't vlogging you made new friends! Thanks for sharing Chichester with us. Loved the park behind the cathedral.
Such a lovely town! Those shops would have me pulling out my credit card. I love UK home goods shops. Thank you for sharing that beautiful sunny day walk with us!
Hi Lia, thanks for the walk around your town. Chichester looks like a wonderful town with lots of little shops to visit. How great for you that you work mostly from home, so you can go out and enjoy all the local sights. It would be perfect for you if your commute to London wasn't so far, but a peaceful little train ride never hurts.
Oh my gosh! Thank you for introducing us to your new hometown! I had to also research Chichester Psalms, a choral piece that was first performed at your Cathedral. So interesting!
Thanks for the lovely video! Love your usual but this was a great touristy type of thing I would do when traveling, so now I feel I’ve been there and had tea with you! Loove how excited you were to talk with locals and make new friends.. so genuine and sweet.
Lia I like the way you vlog, it was nice to see the town of Chichester, I like seeing the countryside and somewhere other than London, the town seems very small and lovely, you seem to be finding places to enjoy and finding what you need, hope have a nice time with your friends and on your trip to Greece.
Watching this and reminiscing about how beautiful the world actually was before the world turned in to a hideous wreck.....i have a new found appreciation for things and just the joy of wandering down a street, window shopping, going to your hairdresser or having a nice cup of tea in a café etc.....
What a pleasure it must be to live in such a fairy tale looking town. Absolutely lovely. Watching from the gorgeous Pacific Northwest Washington state USA. Always love your vlogs Lia.
You live in the best town! It is so beautiful and chic. I know people want to be close to the city, but you have the best of both worlds. Don't feel bad that you aren't in London anymore. I live in NYC and wish that I can breathe fresh air and sit at a café without so people bumping into your tiny table, if you can find a seat.
Chichester is absolutely LOVELY! As wonderful as London is, I really adore the small town and historical vibes! It seems so peaceful, and I think that's healthy for mind, body, and soul. And the UK is so superior in public transit that London is always a train ride away when one feels the need for a day in the big city!
I had no idea you had dyed hair, it looks so natural. Montezuma's is the chocolate I buy at Trader Joe's during Christmas season. It's soooo good. Loved the views of Chichester's, the cathedral, the houses, the rock walls and the gardens are so beautiful. Embrace yourself Lia, you are beautiful. I look back at older photos and think how good I looked but at the time I wasn't happy with my body. Trust me, you look amazing. How nice the people volunteer at the tea shop. I believe in God and so true about the feeling of peace inside a cathedrals and places of worship. Wichester seems like a lovely town. I hope to travel abroad. We have no buildings or walls really old like 1300 here in the US. Great video Lia.
I’m just utterly awed by this episode! It’s like you did this just for me! I’m at heart an architect in the Georgian style. I’m showing “Draper’s Yard” to a client. Montezuma‘s chocolate? Seriously? That name has a very specific meaning here! And I know what “Jellycat” is! 🇬🇧🇺🇸

So nice to see such a pleasant comprehensive video of Chichester. You may not have found it yet but there's a nice restaurant behind you in the old butter market @ 19 mins 20 sec of the video. There's a lift going upstairs to it... plus there's a garden area of Purchases wine bar with coloured lights and heating.. thanks again. lovely video.

Thank you for showing off your absolutely darling little town. I love the slice of real life views of your country, and this is in the win column for me. There are so many shops and cafes. It looks like there wouldn’t be enough townsfolk to support all those businesses. Do you get a nice tourist trade in summer and on weekends? Is the beach you visit in Chichester itself, or on another town nearby? What an amazing place to live. So heartwarming to hear that people just chatted you up or invited you along for some social events! I miss that kind of vibe.
I have no idea babes! I think the local shops must be getting enough business on weekends otherwise they'd be closed down. Thanks for your lovely comment x

Chichester is beautiful! Thank you for showing us around!!! I want to live there...
Cheers Brenda x
I am smitten with Chichester!!! I wish I lived there. And you did a great job filming! 👍 I just can't get over how lovely and historic it is. Thank you, thank you for making this video! Much love from Jean in California ❤
Aww thanks Jean xx
Welcome to the area I grew up and hope you can make it your permanent home, when you’ve got time and like old houses try Singleton open air museum plus there are loads of places to go around Chichester or better known as Chi.
Thank you for taking us along , what a beautiful place . ❤️
No worries Daisy x
My home town too :) love living 5 mins from a city and 15minutes from the beach! Best of both worlds!! I hope you are settling well. Xx
Looks like my vibe! I love specialty shops and a pretty place to walk around 😉
