She is 100, so she is very old and hunched over, but she can still walk around and perform small tasks, especially stoking the fire while my grandparents are cooking. In America, old people can’t even do things anymore by age 80, because their lives are too sedentary and purposeless.

jadoo dookun it’s nice when they let you. My mom has Alzheimer’s, and it is literally a constant fight to care for her. She never wants to eat, or shower, or any of the other things needed for basic survival. I wish she was a gentle old lady who was loving and appreciative but what can you do.
Its generally still more common in eastern and asian countries. The younger generation strives to do well in life to basically care for the ones getting older. Its beautiful, knowing that by continuing this value, you will also be looked out for when you are older. Not out of obligation but out of respect and honor.

Looks like her grandma taught her very very well though. From what I understand she didn't do many studies, so she had the time to learn all these skills instead. Other specific skills, she studied for months specifically to make the videos. But the cooking, she seems to have a gift for that, some recipes she invents herself. Finally, it's all very very hard work.

@@shushuyu Apparently she has done that all her life. She is more or less an orphan and had to learn these skill sets at home from childhood. That's what she explained in interviews anyway. Looks like her grandma taught her very very well though. From what I understand she didn't do many studies, so she had the time to learn all these skills instead. Other specific skills, she studied for months specifically to make the videos. But the cooking, she seems to have a gift for that, some recipes she invents herself.
Finally, it's all very very hard work.

One main reason I like Ziqi’s videos is that they bring me back the time when I was little being looked after by my grandma in her village, where life was similar to those in the videos. The only difference is that it’s was my grandma looking after me. My grandma passed away more than 20 years ago, I can never return the love to her, but the dearest person and happiest life stay forever in my heart. Li Ziqi has been living a life which is the life of my grandma and I have been living in my heart.

Many people nowdays feel depressed because they do meaningless work for a big company and don't feel like they have accomplished anything when they eat and rest. This makes people very sad.
