What is under the slab? Did you just do a layer of sand or crushed rock then the rest concrete?
Currently doing a slab that is about 250mm lower on one end of the yard
Love your videos, am reviewing intently for our current diy build,
Ours is about the same height, did you do a solid concrete slab or mot underneath to reduce around or concrete used?
Solid slab ð
Would a 30cm retaining wall at the back side be a better option to give more head height under the permitted development rule? If so, how is best to do that?!
Could do yes. Just sleepers and post would work fine.
Hi mate, dug my garden out and done my shuttering am about 3-5 mm out of level across my 4 sides using a laser level beam but perfect using my levels- itâs a 2x3m slab would this be acceptable from a flatness point of view?
Absolutely fine. If the wall rocks at all, just slide some plastic packers under the gaps before fixing it down ð
@@creategardenrooms thanks hope business is good for you, Your videos help me a lot .
Is the concrete pad insulted? How high will the garden room be given the concreate pad is already above the ground level? I have an existing pad slighty above ground level but it's not insulted and therefore I'm cautious of height and still want to insulant the floor. Thanks!
Our floor video will show how we do it. That should be online in a few days ð
@@creategardenrooms Fantastic. Many thanks for the reply
